1 ¶ Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Однажды в девятый час, во время молитвы, Петр и Иоанн шли в храм.

2 A nd a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of those that entered into the temple,

В это время туда принесли человека, хромого от рождения. Его каждый день оставляли у ворот, которые назывались Прекрасными, и он просил милостыню у входящих в храм.

3 w ho seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked for alms.

Увидев Петра и Иоанна, которые хотели войти в храм, он попросил и у них.

4 A nd Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

Петр и Иоанн пристально посмотрели на него, и Петр сказал: – Взгляни на нас!

5 A nd he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Человек поднял глаза, ожидая получить от них что-нибудь.

6 T hen Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Но Петр сказал: – Серебра и золота у меня нет, но то, что есть, я даю тебе. Во Имя Иисуса Христа из Назарета – встань и ходи!

7 A nd he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

Он взял его за правую руку, помог подняться, и в тот же миг ступни и лодыжки калеки окрепли.

8 A nd he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.

Он вскочил на ноги и начал ходить. Он вошел с ними в храм, ходил, прыгал и прославлял Бога.

9 A nd all the people saw him walking and praising God,

И все люди видели его ходящим и восхваляющим Бога.

10 a nd they knew that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

Они узнавали в нем того человека, который сидел и просил милостыню у Прекрасных ворот храма, и удивлялись тому, что с ним произошло. Речь Петра в колоннаде Соломона

11 A nd as the lame man who was healed held onto Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

Нищий держался за Петра и Иоанна, и весь народ в изумлении окружил их в той части храма, которая называлась колоннадой Соломона.

12 ¶ And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own virtue or godliness we had made this man walk?

Увидев это, Петр обратился к народу: – Израильтяне, почему вас это так удивляет? Почему вы смотрите на нас так, будто это мы своими силами или благочестием сделали, что этот человек ходит?

13 T he God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye delivered up and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged to let him go.

Бог Авраама, Исаака и Иакова, Бог наших отцов прославил Своего Слугу Иисуса, Которого вы предали и от Которого отреклись перед Пилатом, хотя тот хотел освободить Его.

14 B ut ye denied the Holy One and the Just and desired a murderer to be granted unto you

Но вы отреклись от Святого и Праведного и выпросили, чтобы вам освободили убийцу.

15 a nd killed the Author of life, whom God has raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

Вы убили Начальника жизни, но Бог воскресил Его из мертвых, и мы этому свидетели.

16 A nd in the faith of his name, unto this man whom ye see and know, has confirmed his name; and the faith which is by him has given this man this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Имя Его укрепило этого человека, которого вы видите и знаете, и вера, которая от Него, исцелила его у вас на глазах.

17 A nd now, brethren, I know that through ignorance ye did it as did also your princes.

Братья, я понимаю, что вы и ваши начальники поступили по незнанию.

18 B ut God has thus fulfilled those things which he had showed in advance by the mouth of all his prophets, that his Christ should suffer.

Но именно так Бог исполнил то, что Он предсказывал через всех пророков, когда говорил, что Христу предстоят страдания.

19 R epent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, for the times of refreshing of the presence of the Lord are come;

Итак, покайтесь и обратитесь к Богу, чтобы ваши грехи были стерты,

20 w ho has sent Jesus Christ, who before was preached unto you,

чтобы от Господа пришли времена обновления и чтобы Он послал предназначенного вам Христа – Иисуса.

21 w hom it is certainly necessary that the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the age began.

Но Иисус должен оставаться на небесах, пока не наступит время, когда Бог восстановит все, время о котором Он давно возвещал через Своих святых пророков

22 F or Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things doing whatever he shall say unto you.

Ведь Моисей сказал: «Из ваших братьев Господь, ваш Бог, поставит вам Пророка, подобного мне. Вы должны слушать Его во всем, что бы Он ни сказал вам.

23 A nd it shall come to pass that every soul which will not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.

И всякий, кто не послушает того Пророка, будет искоренен из народа».

24 A nd all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Да и все пророки, которые когда-либо говорили, начиная с Самуила, также предсказывали эти дни.

25 Y e are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Вы же – наследники пророков и наследники завета, который Бог заключил с вашими отцами. Он сказал Аврааму: «Через твое потомство получат благословение все народы на земле».

26 U nto you first, God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, that each one of you might turn from his iniquities.

Когда Бог воскресил Своего Слугу, Он прежде всего послал Его к вам, чтобы благословить вас и призвать каждого из вас отвратиться от ваших злых дел.
