1 ¶ So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 A nd these were the princes which he had: Azariah, the son of Zadok, the priest,

Вот его главные сановники: Азария, сын Цадока – священник;

3 E lihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes, Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, writer of the chronicles;

Елихореф и Ахия, сыновья Шиши – писари; Иосафат, сын Ахилуда – летописец;

4 B enaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests;

Ванея, сын Иодая – начальник войска; Цадок и Авиатар – священники;

5 A zariah, the son of Nathan, was over the officers; and Zabud, the son of Nathan, was the priest and special companion of the king;

Азария, сын Нафана – начальник над наместниками; Завуд, сын Нафана – священник и личный советник царя;

6 a nd Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram, the son of Abda, was over the tribute.

Ахишар – смотритель дворца; Адонирам, сын Авды – надсмотрщик за подневольными рабочими.

7 A nd Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who maintained the king and his household. Each one of them made provision for one month in the year.

Еще у Соломона было над всем Израилем двенадцать наместников, которые поставляли для царя и для царского дома продовольствие. Каждый из них должен был поставлять припасы на один месяц в году.

8 A nd these are their names: The son of Hur, in Mount Ephraim;

Вот их имена: Бен-Хур управлял в нагорьях Ефрема;

9 t he son of Dekar, in Makaz and in Shaalbim and in Bethshemesh and in Elon and in Bethhanan;

Бен-Декер – в Макаце, Шаалвиме, Бет-Шемеше и Елон Бет-Ханане;

10 t he son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh and all the land of Hepher.

Бен-Хесед – в Арюбофе (ему принадлежали Сохо и вся земля Хефер);

11 T he son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor, who had Taphath, the daughter of Solomon, to wife;

Бен-Авинадав – на возвышенностях Дора (его женой была Тафафь, дочь Соломона);

12 B aana, the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam;

Ваана, сын Ахилуда – в Таанахе и Мегиддо и во всей территории вокруг Бет-Шеана, что рядом с Цартаном, ниже Изрееля, и от Бет-Шеана до Авел-Мехолы и даже за Иокмеам;

13 t he son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair, the son of Manasseh, which were in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brasen bars;

Бен-Гевер – в Рамоте Галаадском (ему принадлежали селения Иаира, сына Манассии, в Галааде, а также область Аргова в Башане, включая шестьдесят больших, обнесенных стенами городов с бронзовыми засовами на воротах);

14 A hinadab, the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;

Ахинадав, сын Иддо – в Маханаиме;

15 A himaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath, the daughter of Solomon, to wife.

Ахимаац – в земле Неффалима (он женился на Басемате, дочери Соломона);

16 B aanah, the son of Hushai, was in Asher and in Aloth;

Ваана, сын Хушая – в земле Асира и в Алофе;

17 J ehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

Иосафат, сын Паруаха – в земле Иссахара;

18 S himei, the son of Elah, in Benjamin;

Шимей, сын Елы – в земле Вениамина;

19 G eber, the son of Uri, was in the land of Gilead, in the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and of Og, king of Bashan; and in addition to these there was an officer over all the land.

Гевер, сын Урия – в Галааде (в стране Сигона, царя аморреев, и в стране Ога, царя Башана). Он один был наместником над этими землями. Величие царства Соломона

20 ¶ Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

Народ Иудеи и Израиля был многочислен, как песок на морском берегу; они ели, пили и веселились.

21 A nd Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines and unto the border of Egypt, and they brought presents and served Solomon all the days of his life.

И Соломон правил всеми царствами от реки Евфрата до земли филистимлян и до самой границы Египта. Эти страны платили дань и служили Соломону во все дни его жизни.

22 A nd Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour and sixty measures of meal,

Каждый день ко двору Соломона поставлялось тридцать кор лучшей муки и шестьдесят кор муки крупного помола,

23 t en fat oxen and twenty oxen out of the pastures and one hundred sheep beside harts and roebucks and fallowdeer and fatted fowl.

десять голов крупного скота откормленного в стойле, двадцать голов крупного скота с пастбища и сто голов мелкого, не считая оленей, серн, косулей и откормленной птицы.

24 F or he had dominion over all the region on the other side of the river and from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on the other side of the river, and he had peace on all sides round about him.

Ведь он правил всеми царствами к западу от реки Евфрата, от Тифсаха до Газы, и пребывал в мире со всеми окрестными странами.

25 A nd Judah and Israel dwelt safely, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

Во времена жизни Соломона Иуда и Израиль жили в безопасности от Дана до Вирсавии – каждый человек под своей виноградной лозой и инжиром.

26 A nd Solomon had forty thousand horses in his stables for his chariots and twelve thousand horsemen.

У Соломона было сорок тысяч стойл для колесничных коней и двенадцать тысяч коней.

27 A nd these officers maintained King Solomon and all that came unto king Solomon’s table, each one in his month; they made sure nothing was lacking.

Наместники, каждый в свой месяц, поставляли продовольствие для царя Соломона и для всех, кто приходил есть за царским столом. Они смотрели, чтобы ни в чем не было недостатка.

28 T hey also brought barley and straw for the horses and beasts of burden unto the place where he was, each one according to his charge.

Еще они доставляли в нужное место ячмень и сено для колесничных и прочих коней, каждый свою долю. Мудрость Соломона

29 ¶ And God gave Solomon exceedingly great wisdom and intelligence and magnanimity of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Бог даровал Соломону мудрость, великую проницательность и глубокий ум, неизмеримый, как песок на морском берегу.

30 A nd Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of the Egyptians.

Мудрость Соломона превосходила мудрость всех людей Востока и всю мудрость Египта.

31 F or he was wiser than all men, than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman and Chalcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and he was named in all nations round about.

Он был мудрее любого человека, считая и Етана езрахитянина, и Емана, Халкола и Дарды, сыновей Махола. Его слава прошла по всем окрестным народам.

32 A nd he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

Он произнес три тысячи мудрых изречений, а песен его было тысяча и пять.

33 A nd he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springs out of the wall. He also spoke of animals and of fowl and of serpents and of fishes.

Он исследовал жизнь растений – от ливанского кедра до иссопа, что растет из стен. Он изучал животных и птиц, пресмыкающихся и рыб.

34 A nd they came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

Соломоновой мудрости приходили послушать люди из всех народов, от всех царей мира, которые прослышали о ней.
