1 ¶ Then Bildad, the Shuhite, answered, and said,

Тогда ответил Билдад из Шуаха:

2 D ominion and fear are with God; he makes peace in his high places.

– Держава и страх – у Бога, творящего мир в высотах Своих.

3 I s there any number to his armies? And upon whom does his light not arise?

Можно ли счесть Его рати? И над кем Его свет не светит?

4 H ow then can man be justified with God? Or how can he that is born of a woman be clean?

Так может ли смертный быть праведен перед Богом, и рожденный женщиной – чист?

5 B ehold, even the moon shall not shine, neither are the stars pure in his sight.

Ведь если даже луна не светла, и звезды нечисты в Его глазах,

6 H ow much less man, who is as a worm, and the son of man, who is also a worm?

то тем более человек, который лишь червь, и смертный, который лишь моль!
