1 ¶ Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth.

Услышь нас, Пастырь Израиля, Ты, Который водит Иосифа, как овец, восседающий на херувимах, воссияй!

2 I n the presence of Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength and come and save us.

Пред Ефремом, Вениамином и Манассией пробуди силу Свою, приди и спаси нас!

3 T urn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

Боже, восстанови нас! Да воссияет лицо Твое, и будем спасены.

4 O LORD God of the hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

О Господь, Бог Сил, как долго еще будешь гневаться на молитвы Своего народа?

5 T hou dost feed them with the bread of tears and give them tears to drink in great measure.

Напитал Ты нас слезами, как хлебом, напоил их ими сполна,

6 T hou dost make us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies laugh at us among themselves.

сделал нас причиной раздора соседей, и враги наши насмехаются над нами.

7 T urn us again, O God of the hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

Бог Сил, восстанови нас! Да воссияет лицо Твое, и будем спасены.

8 ¶ Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt; thou hast cast out the Gentiles and planted it.

Из Египта Ты перенес виноградную лозу, изгнал народы и посадил ее,

9 T hou didst prepare room before it and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the earth.

очистил для нее место. Принялись ее корни, и она наполнила землю.

10 T he hills were covered with the shadow of it, and its boughs were like the cedars of God.

Горы покрылись ее тенью и могучие кедры – ее ветвями.

11 S he sent out her boughs unto the sea and her branches unto the river.

Она пустила свои ветви до моря и побеги свои – до реки Евфрат.

12 W hy hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all those who pass by the way pluck her?

Для чего разрушил Ты ее ограды, так что все проходящие мимо обрывают ее плоды?

13 T he boar out of the wood wastes it, and the wild beast of the field devours it.

Лесной кабан подрывает ее, и дикие звери объедают ее.

14 R eturn, we beseech thee, O God of the hosts: look down from heaven and behold and visit this vine

Бог Сил, возвратись к нам! Взгляни с неба и посмотри на нас! И сохрани этот виноград,

15 a nd the vineyard which thy right hand has planted and the branch that thou didst make strong for thyself.

что посадила правая рука Твоя, и сына, которого Ты сделал сильным для Себя.

16 I t is burned with fire; it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

Твой виноград пожжен огнем, обсечен, от Твоего гнева погибает народ Твой.

17 L et thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou didst make strong for thyself,

Да будет рука Твоя над тем, кто от Тебя по правую руку, над сыном человека, которого Ты сделал сильным для Себя,

18 s o we will not go back from thee. Thou shalt quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

Тогда мы не отступим от Тебя; возврати нас к жизни, и мы будем призывать Имя Твое.

19 T urn us again, O LORD God of the hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

О Господь, Бог Сил, восстанови нас! Да воссияет Твое лицо, и будем спасены.
