1 В Иудее известен Бог; велико Его Имя в Израиле.

¶ In Judah is God known; his name is great in Israel.

In Salem also is his tabernacle and his dwelling place in Zion.

There he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the war. Selah.

4 Т ы сияешь во свете; Ты величественнее, чем горы с добычей.

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

5 К репкие сердцем стали добычею, уснули последним сном; ни один из них не смог даже руку поднять.

The stouthearted are spoiled; they have slept their sleep; and nothing was found in the hands of the men of might.

6 Б ог Иакова, от грозного крика Твоего и колесница, и конь упали замертво.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7 Л ишь Тебя надо бояться, и кто устоит пред Твоим лицом, когда Ты в гневе?

¶ Thou, even thou, art to be feared, and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

8 Т ы произнес суд с небес; вся земля испугалась и притихла,

From the heavens thou didst cause judgment to be heard; the earth feared and was still,

9 к огда Бог восстал на суд, чтобы спасти всех угнетенных на земле. Пауза

when thou didst arise unto judgment, O God, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10 И стинно, Твой гнев на людей принесет Тебе хвалу, и выживших после Твоего гнева Ты смиришь.

Surely the wrath of man shall cause praise to come unto thee; the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11 Д авайте обеты Господу, вашему Богу, и исполняйте их; все, кто вокруг Него, приносите дары Грозному.

Vow and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 О н сокрушает дух вождей; Он страшен для земных царей.

He shall cut off the spirit of princes; he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
