1 Б оже, не молчи и не безмолвствуй! Не будь в покое, о Бог!

¶ Do not keep silence, O God; do not hold thy peace, and do not be still, O God.

2 П осмотри, враги Твои шумят, и ненавидящие Тебя подняли голову.

For, behold, thine enemies make a tumult, and those that hate thee have lifted up their head.

3 П ротив Твоего народа составили коварный замысел и сговариваются против оберегаемых Тобою.

They have taken prudent counsel in secret against thy people and consulted against thy hidden ones.

4 С казали: «Пойдем и истребим их из числа народов, чтобы не вспоминалось больше имя Израиля».

They have said, Come and let us cut them off from being a people that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5 С говорились единодушно, заключили против Тебя союз.

Therefore they have consulted together with one consent; they are confederate against thee:

6 С еления Эдома и измаильтяне, Моав и агаряне,

The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; of Moab and the Hagarenes;

7 Г евал, Аммон и Амалик, филистимляне с жителями Тира.

Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8 Д аже Ассирия присоединилась к ним, добавив силы потомкам Лота. Пауза

Assur also is joined with them: they are an arm unto the sons of Lot. Selah.

9 С делай им то же, что и Мадиану, что и Сисаре и Иавину у реки Кишона,

¶ Do unto them as unto the Midianites, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison,

10 к оторые были истреблены в Эн-Доре и стали удобрением для земли.

who perished at Endor; they became as dung for the earth.

11 П оступи с их вождями, как с Оривом и Зивом, и с их правителями, как с Зевахом и Салманом,

Make them and their captains like Oreb and like Zeeb; all their princes as Zebah and as Zalmunna:

12 к оторые говорили: «Возьмем себе во владение землю Божью».

Who have said, Let us inherit for ourselves the habitations of God.

13 Б ог мой, пусть будут они как перекати-поле, как солома, гонимая ветром.

O my God, make them like a whirlwind, as the stubble before the wind.

14 К ак огонь пожирает лес и как пламя опаляет горы,

As the fire burns a wood and as the flame sets the mountains on fire

15 т ак погони их Своею бурею и вихрем Своим приведи их в смятение.

so persecute them with thy tempest and make them afraid with thy whirlwind.

16 П окрой бесчестием их лица, чтобы воззвали Имя Твое, Господи!

Fill their faces with shame that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

17 П усть постыдятся и смутятся навсегда, пусть погибнут в бесчестии.

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and perish

18 П усть познают, что Ты, Чье Имя – Господь, один лишь Ты – Всевышний над землею.

That they may know that thou, whose name alone is LORD, art the most high over all the earth.
