1 В от слово, которое было к Иеремии от Господа:

¶ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 – Так говорит Господь, Бог Израиля: Запиши все слова, которые Я говорил тебе, в свиток.

Thus hath the LORD God of Israel spoken, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

3 Н аступят дни, – возвещает Господь, – когда Я восстановлю Мой народ, Израиль и Иудею, и приведу их в землю, которую отдал во владение их отцам, – говорит Господь.

For, Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, said the LORD, and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

4 В от слова, которые Господь произнес об Израиле и Иудее.

And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5 Т ак говорит Господь: – Крики ужаса слышим мы, крики страха, – нет мира.

For thus hath the LORD said; We have heard a voice of trembling, of terror, and not of peace.

6 Р асспросите и подумайте: разве может мужчина рожать детей? Почему же Я вижу сильных мужчин с руками, прижатыми к животу, как у женщины в родах, и лица у всех смертельно бледны?

Ask now, and see whether the man doth travail with child? for I have seen that every man has his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail; and all faces have turned pale.

7 К ак страшен будет тот день! Не было подобного ему. Это будет время бедствий для Иакова, но он из него спасется.

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

8 В тот день, – возвещает Господь Сил, – Я разобью ярмо, которое у них на шее, и разорву их оковы; чужеземцы больше не будут их порабощать.

For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of the hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no longer place him in servitude,

9 Н ет, они будут служить Господу, своему Богу, и Давиду, своему царю, которого Я им воскрешу.

but they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10 И так, не бойся, слуга Мой, Иаков; не пугайся, Израиль, – возвещает Господь. – Я спасу тебя из далекого края твое потомство – из земли его плена. Иаков вернется к спокойной и мирной жизни, и никто не будет его устрашать.

¶ Therefore fear thou not, O my slave Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I am he that saves thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall turn, and shall rest, and be quiet, and there shall be no one left to scatter him.

11 Я с тобою, и Я спасу тебя, – возвещает Господь. – Я истреблю все народы, среди которых рассеял тебя, а тебя не истреблю. Я накажу тебя по справедливости, но безнаказанным не оставлю тебя.

For I shall be with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee; and I shall make a full end in all Gentiles among whom I scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will chastise thee with judgment and will not cut thee off altogether.

12 Т ак говорит Господь: – Твоя рана неисцелима, твое увечье жестоко.

For thus hath the LORD said, Thy breach is incurable, and thy sore is grievous.

13 Н ет у тебя ходатая, нет для твоей раны лекарств, нет исцеления тебе.

There is no one to judge thy cause unto health; there is no cure, nor are there any medicines for thee.

14 П озабыли тебя все союзники, не думают о тебе. Я поразил тебя, как поразил бы недруг, и наказывал, точно лютый враг, за тяжесть твоей вины и за множество грехов.

All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they do not seek thee; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the whip of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

15 Ч то ты кричишь о своей ране, о неисцелимом увечье? За тяжесть твоей вины, и за множество грехов Я поступил так с тобой.

Why dost thou cry out for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the greatness of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

16 Н о будут уничтожены все, кто тебя уничтожает; все твои неприятели будут уведены в плен. Будут разорены все, кто тебя разоряет; будут ограблены все, кто тебя грабит.

Therefore all those that devour thee shall be devoured; and all those that afflict thee, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and those that trampled upon thee shall be trodden down, and all that prey upon thee I will give for a prey.

17 А Я дам тебе исцеление, и залечу твои раны, – возвещает Господь, – потому что тебя назвали отверженным: «Вот Сион, о котором никто не заботится».

For I will cause healing to come for thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, said the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

18 Т ак говорит Господь: – Я восстановлю шатры Иакова, и пожалею его жилища; поднимется город из руин, и дворец будет возобновлен.

¶ Thus hath the LORD said; Behold, I will turn the captivity of Jacob’s tents and have mercy on his dwelling places and the city shall be built upon her own hill, and the temple according to her judgment shall stand.

19 З азвучат там песни благодарности и голоса веселящихся. Я умножу их число, они не будут редеть; Я их прославлю, они не канут в безвестность.

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of people that live in joy: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be decreased; I will multiply them, and they shall not be cut down.

20 И х сыновья будут как прежде, их общество утвердится предо Мной. Я накажу всех, кто их притесняет.

Their sons shall also be as at first, and their congregation shall be confirmed before me, and I will visit all their oppressors.

21 И х вождь будет одним из них, их правитель выйдет из их среды. Я приближу его, и он приблизится ко Мне; разве кто-нибудь посмеет приблизиться ко Мне самовольно? – возвещает Господь. –

And of him shall be their Rock, and from the midst of him shall their Governor come forth; and I will cause him to come near, and he shall draw near unto me: for who is this that softened his heart to approach unto me? said the LORD.

22 И вы будете Моим народом, а Я буду вашим Богом.

And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

23 В от, буря Господня разразится яростью, сильный смерч закружится над головами нечестивых!

Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, the whirlwind which is preparing itself; it shall remain upon the head of the wicked.

24 П ылающий гнев Господа не утихнет, пока не исполнит, пока не осуществит замыслов Его сердца. В последующие дни вы это поймете.

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return until he has done it and until he has performed the intents of his heart; in the end of the days ye shall understand this.
