1 Г осподь сказал Моисею:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 – Отомсти мадианитянам за израильтян. Потом ты умрешь и отойдешь к народу твоему.

Avenge the sons of Israel upon the Midianites; afterward thou shalt be gathered unto thy peoples.

3 М оисей сказал израильтянам: – Вооружите из числа ваших мужчин воинов, чтобы сразиться с мадианитянами и исполнить месть Господа над Мадианом.

And Moses spoke unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war and let them go against the Midianites and carry out the vengeance of the LORD in Midian.

4 О тправьте сражаться по тысяче мужчин из каждого израильского рода.

A thousand out of every tribe throughout all the tribes of Israel shall ye send to the war.

5 И выставил Израиль двенадцать тысяч воинов, вооруженных для битвы, по тысяче из каждого рода.

So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

6 М оисей послал их сражаться, по тысяче из каждого рода, вместе с Пинехасом, сыном священника Элеазара, который взял с собой утварь святилища и трубы для подачи сигналов.

And Moses sent them to the war; he sent a thousand of every tribe; and Phinehas, the son of Eleazar the priest, went to the war with the holy instruments, with the trumpets to blow in his hand.

7 О ни сразились с мадианитянами, как повелел Моисею Господь, и перебили всех мужчин.

¶ And they fought against the Midianites as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

8 С реди прочих, они убили Евия, Рекема, Цура, Хура и Реву – пятерых царей Мадиана. Еще они убили мечом Валаама, сына Беора.

And they also slew the kings of Midian among the rest of those that were slain: namely, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, five kings of Midian; they also slew Balaam, the son of Beor, with the sword.

9 И зраильтяне взяли в плен мадианских женщин и детей и взяли в добычу все мадианские стада, отары и их имущество.

And the sons of Israel took all the women of Midian captives and their little ones and took the spoil of all their beasts and all their flocks and all their goods.

10 О ни сожгли все города, где жили мадианитяне, и все их лагеря.

And they burnt all their cities in which they dwelt and all their palaces with fire.

11 О ни забрали всю поживу и добычу – и людей, и скот,

And they took all the spoil and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

12 и привели пленников, добычу и поживу к Моисею, к священнику Элеазару и народу израильскому в свой лагерь на равнинах Моава, у Иордана, напротив Иерихона.

And they brought the captives and the prey and the spoil unto Moses and Eleazar, the priest, and unto the congregation of the sons of Israel, unto the camp in the plains of Moab, which was by Jordan of Jericho.

13 М оисей, священник Элеазар и вожди народа вышли за лагерь им навстречу.

¶ And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, and all the princes of the congregation went forth to meet them outside the camp.

14 М оисей разгневался на военачальников – тысячников и сотников, которые вернулись с битвы.

And Moses was angry with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands and captains over hundreds who returned from the battle.

15 – Вы оставили женщин в живых? – спросил он их. –

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

16 Э то они, по совету Валаама, заставили израильтян изменить Господу у Пеора, и народ Господа поразил мор.

Behold, these caused the sons of Israel through the counsel of Balaam to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor for which there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

17 И так, убейте всех мальчиков. Убейте всех женщин, которые спали с мужчинами,

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones and kill every woman that has known a man by lying with him.

18 н о оставьте себе всех девочек, которые еще не спали с мужчиной.

But all the female children that have not known a man by lying with him keep alive for yourselves.

19 П усть те из вас, кто убил или прикоснулся к убитому, семь дней остаются вне лагеря. На третий и на седьмой день очистите себя и пленников.

And ye must abide outside the camp seven days; and whoever has killed any person and whoever has touched any dead body ye shall remove the sin from them on the third and on the seventh day, both of yourselves and of your captives.

20 О чистите всю одежду и все, сделанное из кожи, козьей шерсти и дерева.

Likewise remove all sin from all your clothing and all that is made of skins and all work of goats’ hair and every vessel made of wood.

21 С вященник Элеазар сказал воинам, которые были в битве: – Вот установление Закона, которое дал Моисею Господь:

And Eleazar, the priest, said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

22 з олото, серебро, бронза, железо, олово, свинец

certainly the gold and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

23 и все, что не горит в огне, нужно провести через огонь. После этого оно станет чистым, но, кроме того, эти предметы нужно очистить очистительной водой. Все, что горит в огне, нужно провести через воду.

every thing that may endure the fire, ye shall cause to pass through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless, ye shall remove the sin with the water of separation; and all that does not endure the fire ye shall cause to go through the water.

24 В седьмой день выстирайте одежду и вы будете чисты. После этого вы можете войти в лагерь. Раздел добычи

Ye shall also wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterwards ye shall come into the camp.

25 Г осподь сказал Моисею:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

26 – Вместе со священником Элеазаром и главами семей народа пересчитай пленников и скот.

Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou and Eleazar, the priest, and the heads of the fathers of the congregation,

27 Р аздели добычу между воинами, которые были в битве, и остальным народом.

and divide the prey into two parts between those that took the part in the war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation.

28 И з доли воинов, которые были в битве, отдели долю Господу по одному из каждых пятисот пленников, быков и коров, ослов, овец и коз.

And offer a tribute unto the LORD from the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons and of the oxen and of the asses and of the sheep.

29 В ычти эту долю из их половины и отдай священнику Элеазару, как долю Господа.

Take it from their half and give Eleazar, the priest, the offering of the LORD.

30 А из половины израильтян возьми по одному из каждых пятидесяти пленников, быков, коров, ослов, овец и коз – из любого скота, и отдай левитам, которым вверена скиния Господа.

And of the half belonging to the sons of Israel, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the oxen, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of animals and give them unto the Levites, who keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

31 М оисей со священником Элеазаром сделали, как повелел Моисею Господь.

And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, did as the LORD commanded Moses.

32 В сего воины взяли добычи: 675 000 овец,

And the prey, that is the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred and seventy-five thousand sheep

33 7 2 000 волов,

and seventy-two thousand oxen

34 6 1 000 ослов

and sixty-one thousand asses

35 и 32 000 девушек, которые никогда не спали с мужчиной.

and thirty-two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known a man by lying with him.

36 Н а долю участников битвы пришлось: 337 500 овец и коз,

And the half which was the portion of those that went out to war was in number three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep.

37 д олей для Господа из них стало 675 голов;

And the tribute for the LORD, of the sheep was six hundred and seventy-five.

38 3 6 000 волов, долей для Господа из них стало 72 головы;

And the oxen were thirty-six thousand, of which the tribute for the LORD was seventy-two.

39 3 0 500 ослов, долей для Господа из них стала 61 голова;

And the asses were thirty thousand five hundred, of which the tribute for the LORD was sixty-one.

40 1 6 000 пленников, долей для Господа из них стали 32 человека.

And the persons were sixteen thousand, of which the tribute for the LORD was thirty-two persons.

41 М оисей отдал эту долю священнику Элеазару как долю Господа, как повелел Моисею Господь.

And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD’s heave offering, unto Eleazar, the priest, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

42 П оловиной для израильтян, которую Моисей отделил от доли воинов,

And of the half pertaining to the sons of Israel, which Moses divided from the men that had gone to war,

43 п оловиной для общества, было 337 500 овец и коз,

(now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep

44 3 6 000 волов,

and thirty-six thousand oxen

45 3 0 500 ослов

and thirty thousand five hundred asses

46 и 16 000 пленников.

and sixteen thousand persons)

47 И з половины израильтян Моисей взял по одному из каждых пятидесяти пленников и животных, как повелел ему Господь, и отдал левитам, которым была вверена скиния Господа.

of the half, therefore of the sons of Israel, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, who kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

48 Н ачальники над войсковыми подразделениями – тысячники и сотники – пришли к Моисею

¶ And the officers who were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses,

49 и сказали ему: – Твои слуги пересчитали воинов, которые у нас под началом, и ни один не пропал.

and they said unto Moses, Thy slaves have taken the sum of the men of war who are under our charge and not one man of us is missing.

50 И вот мы принесли в дар Господу то золото, которое каждый из нас добыл: повязки на руку, браслеты, перстни, серьги и ожерелья, чтобы для нас совершили отпущение перед Господом.

We have therefore brought an offering for the LORD, each man of what he has found, of vessels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to reconcile our souls before the LORD.

51 М оисей и священник Элеазар приняли у них это золото в виде украшений.

And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, took the gold from them, all wrought vessels.

52 В се золото от тысячников и сотников, которое Моисей и Элеазар принесли в дар Господу, весило шестнадцать тысяч семьсот пятьдесят шекелей.

And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.

53 ( Каждый из воинов грабил для себя.)

(For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)

54 М оисей и священник Элеазар приняли золото у тысячников и сотников и внесли его в шатер собрания, чтобы оно было напоминанием об израильтянах перед Господом.

And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, took the gold from the captains of thousands and of hundreds and brought it into the tabernacle of the testimony, for a memorial of the sons of Israel before the LORD.
