1 С оломон сказал: – Господь сказал, что Ему по нраву обитать в густом облаке.

¶ Then Solomon said, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

2 Я построил для Тебя величественный дом – место, чтобы Тебе обитать в нем навеки. Обращение Соломона к народу (3 Цар. 8: 14-21)

I, therefore, have built a house of habitation for thee and a place for thy dwelling for ever.

3 К огда все собрание израильтян стояло там, царь повернулся и благословил их.

And the king turned his face and blessed the whole congregation of Israel, and all the congregation of Israel was standing.

4 З атем он сказал: – Благословен Господь, Бог Израиля, Который Своими руками исполнил то, что Своими устами обещал моему отцу Давиду! Ведь Он говорил:

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has with his hand fulfilled that which he spoke with his mouth to my father David, saying,

5 « Со дня, когда Я вывел Мой народ из Египта, Я не избирал города ни в одном из родов Израиля, чтобы там построить дом для Моего Имени, и не избирал никого в вожди для Моего народа, Израиля.

Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; neither did I choose any man to be a prince over my people Israel.

6 Н о ныне Я избрал Иерусалим, чтобы там пребывало Мое Имя, и избрал Давида, чтобы он правил Моим народом, Израилем».

But I have chosen Jerusalem that my name might be there and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

7 М ой отец Давид думал построить дом для Имени Господа, Бога Израиля.

Now it was in the heart of David, my father, to build a house unto the name of the LORD God of Israel.

8 Н о Господь сказал моему отцу Давиду: «Ты задумал построить дом для Моего Имени и хорошо сделал, что задумал это.

But the LORD said to David, my father, Forasmuch as it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thy heart;

9 Н о не ты построишь дом, а твой сын, твоя плоть и кровь, построит дом для Моего Имени».

notwithstanding, thou shalt not build the house, but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build a house for my name.

10 Г осподь исполнил Свое обещание. Я сейчас сижу на троне Израиля, который унаследовал от своего отца Давида, как Господь и обещал, и я построил дом для Имени Господа, Бога Израиля.

The LORD, therefore, has performed his word that he has spoken, for I am risen up in the place of David, my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD had said, and have built the house unto the name of the LORD God of Israel.

11 Я поместил туда ковчег, в котором находится завет Господа, который Он заключил с Израилем. Молитва Соломона при посвящении храма (3 Цар. 8: 22-53)

And in it I have put the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with the sons of Israel.

12 С оломон встал перед жертвенником Господа перед всем собранием израильтян и поднял руки.

¶ Then he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands.

13 ( Он сделал бронзовый помост пяти локтей в длину, пяти локтей в ширину и трех локтей в высоту и поставил его посередине внешнего двора.) Он встал на помосте, преклонил колени перед всем собранием израильтян, воздел руки к небу

For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, five cubits long and five cubits wide and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and upon it he stood and knelt down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands toward heaven

14 и сказал: – Господи, Бог Израиля, нет бога, подобного Тебе, в небесах или на земле! Ты хранишь завет и милость к Твоим слугам, которые от всего сердца следуют Твоими путями.

and said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven nor in the earth who keeps covenant and shows mercy unto thy slaves that walk before thee with all their hearts;

15 Т ы сдержал обещание Твоему слуге Давиду, моему отцу. Ты произнес его Своими устами, и сегодня Своей рукой исполнил его.

who hast kept unto thy slave David, my father, that which thou hast promised him; thou didst say it with thy mouth and hast fulfilled it with thy hand, as it is this day.

16 И теперь, Господи, Бог Израиля, сдержи обещание, которое Ты дал Твоему слуге Давиду, моему отцу, сказав: «Не исчезнет у тебя преемник, сидящий предо Мной на престоле Израиля, если только твои сыновья будут держаться верного пути и следовать Моему Закону, слушаясь Меня, как слушался ты».

Now, therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy slave David, my father, that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel, under the condition that thy sons keep their way, walking in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

17 И теперь, Господи, Бог Израиля, пусть исполнится слово, сказанное Тобой Твоему слуге Давиду!

Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word stand firm, which thou hast spoken unto thy slave David.

18 Н о будет ли Бог действительно обитать на земле с людьми? Небеса, даже небеса небес, не могут вместить Тебя. Что же говорить об этом доме, который я построил!

Is it true that God is to dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee, how much less this house which I have built!

19 Н о услышь молитву Твоего слуги и его мольбу о милости, Господи, мой Бог! Услышь зов и молитву, которой молится пред Тобой Твой слуга.

But thou shalt look upon the prayer of thy slave and upon his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer with which thy slave prays before thee

20 П усть Твои глаза будут днем и ночью открыты на этот дом, это место, о котором Ты сказал, что положишь на него Свое Имя. Услышишь молитву, которой Твой слуга станет молиться, обращая свой взор к этому месту.

that thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there, to hearken unto the prayer which thy slave prays in this place.

21 У слышь мольбы Твоего слуги и Твоего народа, Израиля, когда они станут молиться, обращая свой взор к этому месту. Услышь с небес, места Твоего обитания и, услышав, прости.

Hearken, likewise, unto the supplications of thy slave and of thy people Israel when they shall pray in this place; hear thou from the heavens, from thy dwelling place, even hear and forgive.

22 Е сли человек причинит ближнему своему зло и потребует от него клятвы, и тот придет и даст клятву перед Твоим жертвенником в этом доме,

If a man sins against his neighbour and an oath is laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath comes before thy altar in this house,

23 т о услышь с небес и воздай. Суди между Твоими слугами и воздай виновному, обрушив на его же голову то, что он сделал, и оправдай невиновного, утвердив его правоту.

thou shalt hear from heaven and do right unto thy slaves, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head, and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

24 Е сли Твой народ Израиль потерпит поражение от врагов из-за того, что согрешил против Тебя, но обратится и исповедует Твое Имя, молясь и вознося мольбы перед Тобою в этом доме,

And if thy people Israel should fall before their enemies because they have sinned against thee and if they should convert and confess thy name and pray and make supplication before thee in this house,

25 т о услышь с небес и прости грех Твоего народа, Израиля, и верни его обратно в ту землю, которую Ты дал ему и его отцам.

thou shalt hear from the heavens and forgive the sin of thy people Israel and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.

26 Е сли небеса затворятся и не будет дождя из-за того, что Твой народ согрешил против Тебя, и он обратит молитву к этому месту, исповедует Твое Имя и отвернется от своего греха, потому что Ты наказал его,

If the heavens should become shut up, that there be no rain because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray in this place and confess thy name and become converted from their sins when thou dost afflict them,

27 т о услышь с небес и прости грех Твоих слуг, Твоего народа, Израиля. Научи их доброму пути, чтобы им ходить по нему и пошли дождь на землю, которую Ты дал в наследие Твоему народу.

thou shalt hear them from heaven and forgive the sin of thy slaves and of thy people Israel, and thou shalt teach them the good way, that they may walk therein, and send rain upon thy land which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.

28 Е сли землю поразят голод или мор, тлетворный ветер или плесень, саранча или гусеницы, или если враги осадят один из городов израильтян – какая бы ни пришла беда или болезнь, –

If there should be famine in the land, or if there should be pestilence, if there should be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatever affliction or sickness there may be;

29 т о какую бы молитву, какую бы мольбу ни вознес один человек или весь Твой народ, Израиль, когда все они почувствуют свою скорбь и горесть и будут простирать руки к этому дому,

every prayer and every supplication made of any man, or of all thy people Israel or of anyone who knows his affliction and his grief in his heart, if they shall extend their hands towards this house,

30 у слышь с небес, места Твоего обитания. Прости и воздай каждому по его делам, потому что Ты знаешь его сердце (ведь Ты один знаешь человеческие сердца),

thou shalt hear from the heavens, from the place of thy habitation, and forgive and render unto each one according to his ways, having known his heart (for thou only knowest the hearts of the sons of men),

31 ч тобы они боялись Тебя и ходили Твоими путями все время, что они будут жить на земле, которую Ты дал нашим отцам.

that they may fear thee and walk in thy ways all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

32 Т акже и чужеземца, который не из Твоего народа, Израиля, но который пришел из далекой земли ради Твоего великого Имени, Твоей могучей длани и Твоей простертой руки, когда он придет и обратит свою молитву к этому дому,

And also unto the stranger, who is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake and thy mighty hand and thy stretched out arm, if they come and pray in this house,

33 т о услышь с небес, с места Твоего обитания, и сделай все, о чем Тебя попросит чужеземец, чтобы все народы земли узнали Твое Имя и боялись Тебя, как Твой народ, Израиль, и узнали, что этот дом, который я построил, называется Твоим Именем.

thou shalt hear from the heavens, from the habitation of thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calls unto thee for, that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name and fear thee, as do thy people Israel, and let them know that thy name is invoked upon this house which I have built.

34 К огда Твой народ пойдет воевать с врагами, каким бы путем Ты его ни повел, и когда он станет молиться Тебе, обратясь к этому городу, который Ты избрал, и к дому, который я построил для Твоего Имени,

If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, toward the house which I have built for thy name,

35 т о услышь с небес его молитвы и мольбы и приди к нему на помощь.

thou shalt hear from the heavens their prayer and their supplication and do them judgment.

36 Е сли они согрешат против Тебя – ведь нет никого, кто бы не грешил, – и Ты разгневаешься на них и отдашь их врагам, которые уведут их пленными в свою землю, будь она далеко или близко,

If they sin against thee (for there is no man who does not sin,)and thou art angry with them and deliver them over before their enemies so that those that take them carry them away captives unto an enemy land far off or near,

37 т о если Твой народ переменится сердцем в земле, где они будут пленниками, если они покаются, станут молить Тебя в земле своего плена, говоря: «Мы согрешили, мы сотворили зло и поступали нечестиво»,

and they come into their right mind in the land where they are carried captive, if they convert and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done iniquity and have dealt wickedly,

38 и если они обратятся к Тебе от всего сердца и от всей души в земле врагов, которые пленили их, и станут молиться, обращаясь к земле, которую Ты дал их отцам, к городу, который Ты избрал, и к дому, который я построил для Твоего Имени,

if they convert unto thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been carried captives and pray toward their land, which thou didst give unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen and toward the house which I have built unto thy name,

39 т о услышь с небес, места Твоего обитания, их молитвы и мольбы и приди им на помощь. Прости тогда Твой народ, который согрешил против Тебя.

thou shalt hear from the heavens, from the dwelling place of thy habitation, their prayer and their supplications and do their judgment and forgive thy people who have sinned against thee.

40 И теперь, Бог мой, да будут глаза Твои открыты и слух Твой чуток к молитвам, которые будут возноситься на этом месте.

Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open and let thine ears be attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.

41 П однимись же, Господи Боже, и приди на место Твоего покоя, Ты и ковчег Твоей мощи. Пусть священники Твои, Господи Боже, облачатся в спасение, пусть святые Твои возрадуются о Твоей благости.

Now, therefore, arise, O LORD God, to inhabit thy resting place, thou and the ark of thy strength; let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation and let thy merciful ones rejoice in goodness.

42 Н е отвергни, Господи Боже, помазанника Твоего. Помни о великой милости, обещанной слуге Твоему Давиду.

O LORD God, do not turn away the face of thy anointed one; remember the mercies of David, thy slave.
