1 Ж ивущий под кровом Всевышнего в тени Всемогущего покоится.

¶ He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 С кажу о Господе: «Он – мое прибежище и крепость моя, Бог мой, на Которого уповаю».

I will say of the LORD, He is my hope and my fortress: my God; in him will I secure myself.

3 О н избавит тебя от сети ловца, и от гибельной язвы.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the mortal pestilence.

4 О н укроет тебя Своими перьями, и под Его крыльями ты найдешь прибежище. Его истина будет тебе щитом и броней.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings thou shalt be secure: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Н е убоишься ни ужасов в ночи, ни стрелы, летящей днем,

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day,

6 н и язвы, ходящей во мраке, ни заразы, опустошающей в полдень.

nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 Т ысяча падет около тебя, и десять тысяч справа от тебя, но к тебе не приблизится.

Thousands shall fall at thy side and ten thousands at thy right hand, but it shall not come near thee.

8 Т олько глазами своими будешь смотреть и увидишь возмездие нечестивым.

Surely with thine eyes thou shalt behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 П отому что ты избрал Господа, прибежище мое, своей обителью;

¶ Because thou hast made the LORD, who is my hope, even the most High, thy habitation,

10 н е пристанет к тебе зло, и язва не приблизится к твоему жилищу.

no evil shall befall thee, neither shall any plague come near thy dwelling.

11 В едь Он Своим ангелам повелит о тебе – охранять тебя на всех твоих путях.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 О ни понесут тебя на руках, чтобы ноги твои не ударились о камень.

They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thy foot stumble against a stone.

13 Н а льва и на змею наступишь, растопчешь молодого льва и дракона.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Г осподь говорит: «Сохраню его, потому что он любит Меня, защищу его, потому что он знает Мое Имя.

Because he has set his will upon me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known my name.

15 К огда воззовет ко Мне, Я отвечу: в беде буду с ним, избавлю его и прославлю.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and glorify him.

16 Н асыщу его долголетием и явлю ему Мое спасение».

With long life I will satisfy him and show him my saving health.
