1 Х то живе під покровом Всевишнього, хто в тіні Всемогутнього мешкає,

¶ He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 т ой скаже до Господа: Охороно моя та твердине моя, Боже мій, я надіюсь на Нього!

I will say of the LORD, He is my hope and my fortress: my God; in him will I secure myself.

3 Б о Він тебе вирве з тенет птахолова, з моровиці згубної,

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the mortal pestilence.

4 В ін пером Своїм вкриє тебе, і під крильми Його заховаєшся ти! Щит та лук Його правда.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings thou shalt be secure: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Н е будеш боятися страху нічного, ані стріли, що вдень пролітає,

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day,

6 а ні зарази, що в темряві ходить, ані моровиці, що нищить опівдні,

nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 в паде тисяча з боку від тебе, і десять тисяч праворуч від тебе, до тебе ж не дійде!...

Thousands shall fall at thy side and ten thousands at thy right hand, but it shall not come near thee.

8 Т ільки своїми очима подивишся, і заплату безбожним попобачиш,

Surely with thine eyes thou shalt behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 б о Господа, охорону мою, Всевишнього ти учинив за своє пристановище!

¶ Because thou hast made the LORD, who is my hope, even the most High, thy habitation,

10 Т ебе зло не спіткає, і до намету твого вдар не наблизиться,

no evil shall befall thee, neither shall any plague come near thy dwelling.

11 б о Своїм Анголам Він накаже про тебе, щоб тебе пильнували на всіх дорогах твоїх,

For he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 н а руках вони будуть носити тебе, щоб не вдарив об камінь своєї ноги!

They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thy foot stumble against a stone.

13 Н а лева й вужа ти наступиш, левчука й крокодила ти будеш топтати!

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Щ о бажав він Мене, то його збережу, зроблю його сильним, бо знає ім'я Моє він;

Because he has set his will upon me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known my name.

15 я к він Мене кликатиме, то йому відповім, Я з ним буду в недолі, врятую його та прославлю його,

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and glorify him.

16 і довгістю днів Я насичу його, і він бачити буде спасіння Моє!

With long life I will satisfy him and show him my saving health.
