1 І сиділи зверхники народу в Єрусалимі, а решта народу кинули жеребки, щоб привести одного з десяти сидіти в Єрусалимі, місті святому, а дев'ять частин зостаються по інших містах.

¶ And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem; but the rest of the people cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city and nine parts to dwell in the other cities.

2 І поблагословив народ усіх тих людей, що пожертвувалися сидіти в Єрусалимі.

And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.

3 А оце голови округи, що сиділи в Єрусалимі, а по Юдиних містах сиділи, кожен у своїй посілості, по своїх містах, Ізраїль, священики, і Левити, і храмові підданці, і сини Соломонових рабів.

Now these are the heads of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah each one dwelt in his possession in their cities, of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinims, and of the sons of Solomon’s slaves.

4 А в Єрусалимі сиділи оці з синів Юдиних та з синів Веніяминових. Із синів Юдиних: Атая, син Уззійї, сина Захарія, сина Амарії, сина Шефатії, сина Магаліїла, із синів Перецових.

And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin. Of the sons of Judah: Athaiah, the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the sons of Perez;

5 І Маасея, син Баруха, сина Кол-Хозе, сина Хазаї, сина Адаї, сина Йояріва, сина Захарія, сина Шілоні.

and Maaseiah, the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.

6 У сіх синів Перецових, що сиділи в Єрусалимі, було чотири сотні шістдесят і вісім хоробрих людей.

All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty-eight valiant men.

7 А оце Веніяминові сини: Саллу, син Мешуллама, сина Йоеда, сина Педаї, сина Кадаї, сина Маасеї, сина Ітіїла, сина Ісаї.

And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.

8 А по ньому: Ґаббай, Саллай, дев'ять сотень двадцять і вісім.

And after him Gabbai and Sallai, nine hundred and twenty-eight.

9 А Йоїл, син Зіхрі, був провідником над ними, а Юда, син Сенуїн, другий над містом.

And Joel, the son of Zichri, was their overseer; and Judah, the son of Senuah, was second over the city.

10 І з священиків: Єдая, син Йоярів, Яхін,

Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin.

11 С ерая, син Хілкійї, сина Мешуллама, сина Садока, сина Мерайота, сина Ахітува, начальник у Божому домі.

Seraiah, the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, prince of the house of God,

12 А їхніх братів, що робили службу для Божого дому, вісім сотень і двадцять і два. І Адая, син Єрохама, сина Пелалії, сина Амці, сина Захарія, сина Пашхура, сина Малкійї,

and their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred and twenty-two; and Adaiah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,

13 а їхніх братів, голів батьківських родів, двісті сорок і два. І Амашсай, син Азаріїла, сина Ахезая, сина Мешіллемота, сина Іммера,

and his brethren, princes of families, two hundred and forty-two; and Amashai, the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

14 а їхніх братів, хоробрих вояків, сто двадцять і вісім, а провідник над ними Завдіїл, син Ґедоліма.

and their brethren, mighty men of valour, one hundred and twenty-eight; and their captain was Zabdiel, the son of Gedolim.

15 А з Левитів: Шемая, син Хашшува, сина Азрікама, сина Хашавії, сина Бунні.

And of the Levites: Shemaiah, the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

16 А Шаббетай та Йозавад були над зовнішньою службою для Божого дому, з голів Левитів.

and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the principals of the Levites, overseers of the exterior work of the house of God.

17 А Матанія, син Міхи, сина Завді, сина Асафового, був головою, що починав славословити при молитві, і Бакбукія, другий з братів його, і Авда, син Шаммуї, сина Ґалала, сина Єдутунового.

And Mattaniah, the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer; and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren, and Abda, the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

18 У сіх Левитів у святому місті було двісті вісімдесят і чотири.

All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred and eighty-four.

19 А придверні: Аккув, Талмон та їхні брати, що сторожили при брамах, сто сімдесят і два.

Moreover, the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, guards at the gates, were one hundred and seventy-two.

20 А решта Ізраїля, священики, Левити були по всіх Юдиних містах, кожен у наділі своїм.

¶ And the residue of Israel, of the priests and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each one in his inheritance.

21 А храмові підданці сиділи в Офелі, а Ціха та Ґішпа були над підданцями.

And the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.

22 А провідником Левитів в Єрусалимі був Уззі, син Бані, сина Хашавії, сина Маттанії, сина Міхи, з Асафових синів, співаків при службі Божого дому,

The overseer of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi, the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha of singers, the sons of Asaph, over the work of the house of God.

23 б о був царів наказ про них та певна оплата на співаків про кожен день.

For there was a commandment of the king concerning them and a determination of the singers for each day.

24 А Петахія, син Мешезав'їла, із синів Зераха, сина Юдиного, був при руці царя для всіх справ народу.

And Pethahiah, the son of Meshezabeel, of the sons of Zerah, the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.

25 А по дворах на полях своїх з Юдиних синів сиділи: в Кір'ят-Арбі та залежних її містах, і в Дівоні та залежних його містах, і в Єкавцеїлі та залежних його містах,

And regarding the villages with their lands, some of the sons of Judah dwelt in Kirjatharba and in its villages and in Dibon and in its villages and in Jekabzeel and in its villages,

26 і в Єшуї, і в Моладі, і в Бет-Пелеті,

and in Jeshua and in Moladah and in Bethphelet

27 і в Хасар-Шуалі, і в Беер-Шеві та залежних його містах,

and in Hazarshual and in Beersheba and in its villages

28 і в Ціклаґу, і в Мехоні та в залежних її містах,

and in Ziklag and in Mekonah and in its villages,

29 і в Ен-Ріммоні, і в Цор'ї, і в Ярмуті,

and in Enrimmon and in Zareah and in Jarmuth,

30 З аноаху, Адулламі та дворах її, в Лахішу та полях його, в Азці та залежних її містах. І таборували вони від Беер-Шеви аж до долини Гінном.

Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, in Lachish and its lands, in Azekah and in its villages. And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.

31 А Веніяминові сини, починаючи від Ґеви, заселили оці міста: Міхмаш, і Айя, і Бет-Ел та залежні його міста,

The sons of Benjamin from Geba dwelt in Michmash and Aija and Bethel and in their villages

32 А натот, Нов, Ананія,

and in Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

33 Х ацор, Рама, Ґіттаїм,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

34 Х адід, Цевоїм, Неваллат,

Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

35 Л од і Оно, долина Харашім.

Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

36 А з Левитів Юдині відділи жили в краю Веніямина.

And of the Levites there were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.
