1 А Ісус постарівся й увійшов у дні. І сказав Господь до нього: Ти постарівся та ввійшов у дні, а Краю позостається ще дуже багато, щоб посісти його.

¶ Now when Joshua was old and advanced in years, the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.

2 О це позосталий Край: усі округи филистимські, і ввесь Ґешурей,

This is the land that yet remains: all the borders of the Philistines and all Geshuri

3 в ід Шіхору, що навпроти Єгипту, і аж до границі Екрону на північ, що до ханаанеянина залічений, п'ять филистимських князів: аззатський, ашдодський, ашкелонський, ґаттійський і екронський, та аввеї.

from the Nile, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted among the Canaanites; five cardinals of the Philistines; the Gazathites and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, also the Avites;

4 В ід півдня вся ханаанська земля та Меара, що сидонська, аж до Афеки, аж до аморейської границі,

towards the Negev all the land of the Canaanites and Mearah that is beside those of Sidon unto Aphek to the border of the Amorite;

5 і ґівлейська земля, і ввесь Ливан на схід сонця від Баал-Ґаду під горою Гермон аж до входу до Хамату.

and the land of the Giblites and all Lebanon toward the sunrising, from Baalgad at the root of Mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

6 У сіх мешканців гір від Ливану аж до Місрефот-Маїму, усіх сидонян, Я повиганяю їх перед Ізраїлевими синами. Тільки поділи її жеребком на спадок Ізраїлеві, як Я наказав був тобі.

All the inhabitants of the mountains from Lebanon unto the hot springs and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the sons of Israel; only thou shalt divide the country by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 А тепер поділи цей Край на спадок дев'яти племенам та половині племени Манасіїному.

¶ Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes and the half tribe of Manasseh,

8 Р азом із ним Рувимові та Ґадові взяли свій спадок що дав їм Мойсей по той бік Йордану на схід, як дав їм Мойсей, раб Господній,

for the other half received their inheritance with the Reubenites and the Gadites, which Moses gave them of the other side of the Jordan eastward, according as Moses the slave of the LORD gave them;

9 в ід Ароеру, що на березі арнонського потоку, і місто, що серед тієї долини, і вся медевська рівнина аж до Дівону,

from Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;

10 і всі міста Сигона, царя аморейського, що царював у Хешбоні, аж до границі Аммонових синів,

and all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the borders of the sons of Ammon;

11 і Ґілеад, і границя ґешурейська та маахейська, і вся гора Гермон, і ввесь Башан аж до Салхи,

and Gilead and the borders of the Geshur and Maachath and all Mount Hermon and all Bashan unto Salcah;

12 у се царство Оґа в Башані, що царював в Аштароті та в Едреї, він позостався з останку рефаїв, а Мойсей повбивав їх та повиганяв їх.

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the Rephaim, for these did Moses smite and cast them out of the land.

13 І не вигнали Ізраїлеві сини ґешуреянина, і маахатеянина, і сидів Ґешур та Маахат серед Ізраїля, і так є аж до цього дня.

Nevertheless, the sons of Israel did not expel those of Geshur and Maachath, but Geshur and Maachath dwell among the Israelites until this day.

14 Т ільки Левієвому племені не дав він спадку, огняні жертви Господа, Бога Ізраїля, то спадок його, як Я говорив був йому.

But unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance; the sacrifices on fire of the LORD God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

15 І дав Мойсей племені Рувимових синів спадок за їхніми родами.

And Moses gave unto the tribe of the sons of Reuben according to their families,

16 І була їм границя від Ароеру, що на березі арнонського потоку, і місто, що серед тієї долини, і вся рівнина при Медеві,

and their border was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river and all the plain until Medeba,

17 Х ешбон і всі міста його, що на рівнині, Дівон, і Бамот-Баал, і Бет-Баал-Меон,

Heshbon and all her cities that are in the plain, Dibon, and Bamothbaal and Bethbaalmeon,

18 і Ягца, і Кедемот, і Мефаат,

and Jahazah and Kedemoth and Mephaath,

19 і Кір'ятаїм, і Сівма, і Церет-Гашшахар на горі Емеку,

and Kirjathaim and Sibmah and Zarethshahar in the mount of the valley,

20 і Бет-Пеор, і узбіччя Пісґі, і Бет-Гаєшімот,

and Bethpeor and Ashdothpisgah and Bethjeshimoth,

21 і всі міста рівнини, і все царство Сигона, царя аморейського, що царював у Хешбоні, що Мойсей убив його та мідіянських начальників: Евія, і Рекема, і Цура, і Хура, і Реву, сигонових князів, мешканців того краю.

and all the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur and Hur and Reba, who were princes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.

22 А Валаама, Беорового сина, чарівника, Ізраїлеві сини забили мечем серед інших, яких вони побили.

Balaam also, the son of Beor, the diviner, did the sons of Israel slay with the sword among those that were slain by them.

23 І була границя Рувимових синів: Йордан і границя. Це спадок Рувимових синів за їхніми родами, їхні міста та їхні оселі.

And the border of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben according to their families, these cities with their villages.

24 І дав Мойсей Ґадовому племені, синам Ґада за їхніми родами,

Moses likewise gave unto the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad according to their families.

25 і була їм границя: Язер, і всі ґілеадські міста, і половина краю аммонових синів аж до Ароеру, що навпроти Рабби,

And their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead and half of the land of the sons of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah,

26 А з Хешбону аж до Рамат Гамміцпі й Бетоніму, а від Маханаїму аж до границі Девіру,

and from Heshbon unto Ramathmizpeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir,

27 і в долині Бет-Гараму, і Бет-Німра, і Суккот, і Цафон, останок царства Сигона, царя хешбонського, Йордан і границя аж до кінця озера Кіннерет по тім боці Йордану на схід.

and the valley of Betharam and Bethnimrah and Succoth and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon, king of Heshbon, the Jordan and its border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

28 Ц е спадок Ґадових синів за їхніми родами, міста та їхні оселі.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Gad according to their families, these cities with their villages.

29 І дав Мойсей половині племени Манасіїного, і воно було половині племени Манасіїних синів за їхніми родами.

And Moses also gave unto the half tribe of Manasseh, and it belonged to the half tribe of the sons of Manasseh according to their families.

30 І була їхня границя від Манахаїму, увесь Башан, усе царство Оґа, царя башанського, і всі села Яіру, що в Башані, шістдесят міст.

Their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.

31 А половина Ґілеаду, і Аштарот, і Едрея, міста Оґового царства в Башані, синам Махіра, Манасіїного сина, половині синів Махіра за їхніми родами.

And half of Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were given to the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, even to one half of the sons of Machir, according to their families.

32 О це те, що Мойсей дав на спадок в моавських степах по тім боці Йордану на схід.

This is what Moses distributed in inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan of Jericho, eastward.

33 А Левієвому племені Мойсей не дав спадку, Господь, Бог Ізраїлів, Він їхній спадок, як говорив їм.

But to the tribe of Levi Moses did not give any inheritance; the LORD God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said unto them.
