1 Г осподи, Ти мій Бог! Я буду Тебе величати, хвалитиму Ймення Твоє, бо Ти чудо вчинив, виконав давні приречення, певную правду!

¶ O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee; I will praise thy name for thou hast done wonders, the counsels of old, the truth unchanging.

2 Б о Ти купою каменя місто вчинив, укріплене місто руїною, чужинецький палац перестав бути містом, навіки не буде воно відбудоване!

That thou hast turned the city into a heap; the defenced city into a ruin: the palace of strangers to not be a city; it shall never be rebuilt.

3 Т ому буде хвалити Тебе народ сильний, місто людів насильників буде боятись Тебе,

Therefore the strong people shall glorify thee; the city of the strong Gentiles shall fear thee.

4 б о твердинею став Ти нужденному, твердинею став для убогого в час його утиску, охороною від хуртовини, тінню від спеки, і дух тих насильників був немов хуртовина на стіну!

For thou hast been strength to the poor, strength to the needy in his distress, refuge from the storm, shadow from the heat, for the force of the violent is as a storm against the wall.

5 Я к спекоту в пустині, Ти крики чужинців приборкав; як тінню від хмари спекоту, спів насильників так Він приглушить.

As the heat in a dry place, thou shalt bring down the pride of the strangers; even as with heat that burns beneath a cloud, thou shalt cause the offshoot of the stout ones to wither.

6 І вчинить Господь Саваот на горі цій гостину з страв ситих, гостину із вин молодих, із шпікового товщу, із очищених вин молодих.

¶ And in this mountain the LORD of the hosts shall make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of purified wines, of fat things full of marrow, of purified liquids.

7 І Він на горі цій понищить заслону, заслону над усіма народами, та покриття, що розтягнене над усіма людами.

And he will undo in this mountain the mask of the covering with which all the peoples are covered and the veil that is extended over all the Gentiles.

8 С мерть знищена буде назавжди, і витре сльозу Господь Бог із обличчя усякого, і ганьбу народу Свого він усуне з усієї землі, бо Господь це сказав.

He will destroy death forever; and the Lord GOD shall wipe away every tear from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people he shall take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has determined it.

9 І скажуть в той день: Це наш Бог, що на Нього ми мали надію і Він спас нас! Це Господь, що на Нього ми мали надію, тішмося ж ми та радіймо спасінням Його!

¶ And it shall be said in that day, Behold, this is our God, whom we have waited for, and he has saved us: this is the LORD, whom we have waited for, we will be glad and rejoice in his saving health.

10 Б о Господня рука на горі цій спочине, Моав же на місці своєму потоптаний буде, як солома витоптується у гноївці,

For in this mountain the hand of the LORD shall rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

11 і простягне він руки свої серед неї, немов той пливак простягає, щоб пливати, і принизить пиху його Він разом з підступами його рук.

And he shall extend his hand in the midst of him as he that swims spreads forth his hand to swim: and he shall bring down his pride with the members of his hands

12 А високу твердиню цих мурів твоїх Він розвалить, понизить, на землю їх кине, у порох!

and lay siege to the fortress of thy high walls; he shall humble it and bring it down to the ground, even to the dust.
