1 Д ля дириґетна хору. Псалом Давидів. (20-2) В день недолі озветься до тебе Господь, ім'я Бога Якового зробить сильним тебе!

¶ Let the LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; let the name of the God of Jacob lift thee up

2 ( 20-3) Він пошле тобі поміч із святині, і з Сіону тебе підіпре!

and send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion

3 ( 20-4) Усі жертви твої пам'ятати Він буде, і буде вважати твоє цілопалення ситим. Села.

and remember all thy offerings and reduce thy burnt sacrifice to the ashes of burnt fat, Selah.

4 ( 20-5) Він дасть тобі, як твоє серце бажає, і виповнить цілий твій задум!

Grant thee according to thine heart and fulfil all thy counsel.

5 ( 20-6) Ми будем радіти спасінням Твоїм, і підіймемо прапор в ім'я Бога нашого, нехай Господь виконає всі прохання твої!

We will rejoice in thy saving health, and in the name of our God we will be standard-bearers: let the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

6 ( 20-7) Тепер я пізнав, що спасає Господь помазанця Свого, дає йому відповідь з неба святого Свого могутніми чинами помічної правиці Своєї.

¶ Now know I that the LORD has kept his anointed; he will hear him from the heavens of his holiness with the saving valour of his right hand.

7 ( 20-8) Одні колесницями хваляться, а інші кіньми, а ми будем хвалитись ім'ям Господа, нашого Бога:

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

8 ( 20-9) вони похилились і впали, а ми стоїмо та ростемо на силах!

They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright.

9 ( 20-10) Господи, спаси! Хай озветься нам Цар у день нашого кликання!

The LORD saves the king; let him hear us on the day when we call.
