1 ( Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen.) Der HERR erhöre dich in der Not; der Name des Gottes Jakobs schütze dich!

¶ Let the LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; let the name of the God of Jacob lift thee up

2 E r sende dir Hilfe vom Heiligtum und stärke dich aus Zion.

and send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion

3 E r gedenke all deines Speisopfers, und dein Brandopfer müsse vor ihm fett sein. (Sela.)

and remember all thy offerings and reduce thy burnt sacrifice to the ashes of burnt fat, Selah.

4 E r gebe dir was dein Herz begehrt, und erfülle alle deine Anschläge.

Grant thee according to thine heart and fulfil all thy counsel.

5 W ir rühmen, daß du uns hilfst, und im Namen unsres Gottes werfen wir Panier auf. Der HERR gewähre dir alle deine Bitten!

We will rejoice in thy saving health, and in the name of our God we will be standard-bearers: let the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

6 N un merke ich, daß der HERR seinem Gesalbten hilft und erhöht ihn in seinen heiligen Himmel; seine rechte Hand hilft mit Macht.

¶ Now know I that the LORD has kept his anointed; he will hear him from the heavens of his holiness with the saving valour of his right hand.

7 J ene verlassen sich auf Wagen und Rosse; wir aber denken an den Namen des HERRN, unsers Gottes.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

8 S ie sind niedergestürzt und gefallen; wir aber stehen aufgerichtet.

They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright.

9 H ilf, HERR, dem König und erhöre uns wenn wir rufen!

The LORD saves the king; let him hear us on the day when we call.
