¶ I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains, from whence cometh my help.

2 M eine Hilfe kommt von dem HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat.

My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and earth.

3 E r wird deinen Fuß nicht gleiten lassen; und der dich behütet schläft nicht.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keeps thee will not slumber.

4 S iehe, der Hüter Israels schläft noch schlummert nicht.

Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 D er HERR behütet dich; der HERR ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand,

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 d aß dich des Tages die Sonne nicht steche noch der Mond des Nachts.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 D er HERR behüte dich vor allem Übel, er behüte deine Seele;

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil; he shall preserve thy soul.

8 d er HERR behüte deinen Ausgang und Eingang von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
