1 U nd des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:

¶ The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

2 D u Menschenkind, mach eine Wehklage über Tyrus

Now, thou son of man, raise up lamentations upon Tyre.

3 u nd sprich zu Tyrus, die da liegt vorn am Meer und mit vielen Inseln der Völker handelt: So spricht der HERR HERR: O Tyrus, du sprichst: Ich bin die Allerschönste.

And say unto Tyre, O thou that dwelleth at the ports of the sea, who art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus hath the Lord GOD said; O Tyre, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.

4 D eine Grenzen sind mitten im Meer und deine Bauleute haben dich aufs allerschönste zugerichtet.

In the heart of the seas are thy border; thy builders have completed thy beauty.

5 S ie haben all dein Tafelwerk aus Zypressenholz vom Senir gemacht und die Zedern vom Libanon führen lassen und deine Mastbäume daraus gemacht

They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir; they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.

6 u nd deine Ruder von Eichen aus Basan und deine Bänke von Elfenbein, gefaßt in Buchsbaumholz aus den Inseln der Chittiter.

Of the oaks of Bashan they have made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.

7 D ein Segel war von gestickter, köstlicher Leinwand aus Ägypten, daß es dein Panier wäre, und deine Decken von blauem und rotem Purpur aus den Inseln Elisa.

Of fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was thy curtain, that it might serve to be thy sail; of blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thy pavilion.

8 D ie von Sidon und Arvad waren deine Ruderknechte, und hattest geschickte Leute zu Tyrus, zu schiffen.

The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, were in thee; they were thy pilots.

9 D ie Ältesten und Klugen von Gebal mußten deine Risse bessern. Alle Schiffe im Meer und ihre Schiffsleute fand man bei dir; die hatten ihren Handel in dir.

The elders of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee to repair thy breaches: all the galleys of the sea with their rowers were in thee to negotiate thy business dealings.

10 D ie aus Persien, Lud und Lybien waren dein Kriegsvolk, die ihre Schilde und Helme in dir aufhingen und haben dich so schön geschmückt.

Those of Persia and of Lud and of Africa were in thine army, thy men of war: they hung the shield and helmet in thee; they extolled thy beauty.

11 D ie von Arvad waren unter deinem Heer rings um die Mauern und Wächter auf deinen Türmen; die haben ihre Schilde allenthalben von deinen Mauern herabgehängt und dich so schön geschmückt.

The sons of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hung their shields upon thy walls round about; they completed thy beauty.

12 T harsis hat dir mit seinem Handel gehabt und allerlei Waren, Silber, Eisen, Zinn und Blei auf die Märkte gebracht.

Tarshish was thy market by reason of the multitude of all thy riches in silver, iron, tin, and lead; they traded in thy fairs.

13 J avan, Thubal und Mesech haben mit dir gehandelt und haben dir leibeigene Leute und Geräte von Erz auf deine Märkte gebracht.

Greece, Tubal, and Meshech, thy merchants, with the soul of men and with vessels of brass; they traded in thy fairs.

14 D ie von Thogarma haben dir Rosse und Wagenpferde und Maulesel auf deine Märkte gebracht.

Those of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.

15 D ie von Dedan sind deine Händler gewesen, und hast allenthalben in den Inseln gehandelt; die haben dir Elfenbein und Ebenholz verkauft.

The sons of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles took merchandise from thy hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and peacocks.

16 D ie Syrer haben bei dir geholt deine Arbeit, was du gemacht hast, und Rubine, Purpur, Teppiche, feine Leinwand und Korallen und Kristalle auf deine Märkte gebracht.

Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they traded in thy fairs with rubies and purple and broidered work and fine linen and coral and pearls.

17 J uda und das Land Israel haben auch mit dir gehandelt und haben Weizen von Minnith und Balsam und Honig und Öl und Mastix auf deine Märkte gebracht.

Judah, and the land of Israel; they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market with wheat, Minnith and Pannag and honey and oil and balm.

18 D azu hat auch Damaskus bei dir geholt deine Arbeit und allerlei Ware um Wein von Helbon und köstliche Wolle.

Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the abundance of all riches, with wine of Helbon and white wool.

19 D an und Javan und Mehusal haben auch auf deine Märkte gebracht Eisenwerk, Kassia und Kalmus, daß du damit handeltest.

Dan also and Greece and Mozel traded in thy fairs bright iron, cassia, and calamus.

20 D edan hat mit dir gehandelt mit Decken zum Reiten.

Dedan was thy merchant in precious cloth for chariots.

21 A rabien und alle Fürsten von Kedar haben mit dir gehandelt mit Schafen, Widdern und Böcken.

Arabia and all the princes of Kedar, merchants of thy strength in lambs and rams and he goats: in these they were thy merchants.

22 D ie Kaufleute aus Saba und Ragma haben mit dir gehandelt und allerlei köstliche Spezerei und Edelsteine und Gold auf deine Märkte gebracht.

The merchants of Sheba and Raamah; they were thy merchants: they traded in thy fairs with the chief of all spices and with all precious stones and gold.

23 H aran und Kanne und Eden samt den Kaufleuten aus Seba, Assur und Kilmad sind auch deine Händler gewesen.

Haran and Canneh and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad were in thy market.

24 D ie haben alle mit dir gehandelt mit köstlichem Gewand, mit purpurnen und gestickten Tüchern, welche sie in köstlichen Kasten, von Zedern gemacht und wohl verwahrt, auf deine Märkte geführt haben.

These, thy merchants, negotiated with thee in all sorts of things: in blue robes and broidered work and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.

25 A ber die Tharsisschiffe sind die vornehmsten auf deinen Märkten gewesen. Also bist du sehr reich und prächtig geworden mitten im Meer.

The ships of Tarshish, thy squadrons, went forth on thy behalf: and thou wast full, and wast multiplied greatly in the midst of the seas.

26 D eine Ruderer haben dich oft auf große Wasser geführt; ein Ostwind wird dich mitten auf dem Meer zerbrechen,

¶ In many waters they overcame thy rowers; the east wind has broken thee in the midst of the seas.

27 a lso daß dein Reichtum, dein Kaufgut, deine Ware, deine Schiffsleute, deine Schiffsherren und die, so deine Risse bessern und die deinen Handel treiben und alle deine Kriegsleute und alles Volk in dir mitten auf dem Meer umkommen werden zur Zeit, wann du untergehst;

Thy riches, and thy markets, thy business, thy rowers, and thy pilots, those that repair thy breaches, and the agents of thy business, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

28 d aß auch die Anfurten erbeben werden vor dem Geschrei deiner Schiffsherren.

The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.

29 U nd alle, die an den Rudern ziehen, samt den Schiffsknechten und Meistern werden aus ihren Schiffen ans Land treten

And all that handle the oar, the rowers, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land

30 u nd laut über dich schreien, bitterlich klagen und werden Staub auf ihre Häupter werfen und sich in der Asche wälzen.

and shall cause their voice to be heard upon thee and shall cry bitterly and shall cast up dust upon their heads; they shall wallow themselves in the ashes.

31 S ie werden sich kahl scheren über dir und Säcke um sich gürten und von Herzen bitterlich um dich weinen und trauern.

And they shall pull out their hair for thee and gird themselves with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of soul and bitter wailings.

32 E s werden auch ihre Kinder über dich wehklagen: Ach! wer ist jemals auf dem Meer so still geworden wie du, Tyrus?

And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee and lament over thee, saying, Who is like Tyre, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?

33 D a du deinen Handel auf dem Meer triebst, da machtest du viele Länder reich, ja, mit der Menge deiner Ware und deiner Kaufmannschaft machtest du reich die Könige auf Erden.

When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy contracts.

34 N un aber bist du vom Meer in die rechten, tiefen Wasser gestürzt, daß dein Handel und all dein Volk in dir umgekommen ist.

In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy commerce and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.

35 A lle die auf den Inseln wohnen, erschrecken über dich, und ihre Könige entsetzen sich und sehen jämmerlich.

All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid; they shall be troubled in their countenance.

36 D ie Kaufleute in den Ländern pfeifen dich an, daß du so plötzlich untergegangen bist und nicht mehr aufkommen kannst.

The merchants among the peoples shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror and never shalt be any more.
