1 E sta palavra do Senhor veio a mim:

¶ The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

2 “ Filho do homem, faça um lamento a respeito de Tiro.

Now, thou son of man, raise up lamentations upon Tyre.

3 D iga a Tiro, que está junto à entrada para o mar, e que negocia com povos de muitos litorais: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Você diz, ó Tiro: ‘Minha beleza é perfeita’.

And say unto Tyre, O thou that dwelleth at the ports of the sea, who art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus hath the Lord GOD said; O Tyre, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.

4 S eu domínio abrangia o coração dos mares; seus construtores levaram a sua beleza à perfeição.

In the heart of the seas are thy border; thy builders have completed thy beauty.

5 E les fizeram todo o seu madeiramento com pinheiros de Senir; apanharam um cedro do Líbano para fazer-lhe um mastro.

They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir; they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.

6 D os carvalhos de Basã fizeram os seus remos; de cipreste procedente das costas de Chipre fizeram seu convés, revestido de mármore.

Of the oaks of Bashan they have made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.

7 S uas velas foram feitas de belo linho bordado, procedente do Egito, servindo-lhe de bandeira; seus toldos, em vermelho e azul, provinham das costas de Elisá.

Of fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was thy curtain, that it might serve to be thy sail; of blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thy pavilion.

8 H abitantes de Sidom e Arvade eram os seus remadores; os seus homens hábeis, ó Tiro, estavam a bordo como marinheiros.

The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, were in thee; they were thy pilots.

9 A rtesãos experientes de Gebal estavam a bordo como construtores de barcos para calafetarem as suas juntas. Todos os navios do mar e seus marinheiros vinham para negociar com você as suas mercadorias.

The elders of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee to repair thy breaches: all the galleys of the sea with their rowers were in thee to negotiate thy business dealings.

10 “ Os persas, os lídios e os homens de Fute serviam como soldados em seu exército. Eles penduravam os seus escudos e capacetes nos seus muros, trazendo-lhe esplendor.

Those of Persia and of Lud and of Africa were in thine army, thy men of war: they hung the shield and helmet in thee; they extolled thy beauty.

11 H omens de Arvade e de Heleque guarneciam os seus muros em todos os lados; homens de Gamade estavam em suas torres. Eles penduravam os escudos deles em seus muros ao redor; levaram a sua beleza à perfeição.

The sons of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hung their shields upon thy walls round about; they completed thy beauty.

12 “ Társis fez negócios com você, tendo em vista os seus muitos bens; eles deram prata, ferro, estanho e chumbo em troca de suas mercadorias.

Tarshish was thy market by reason of the multitude of all thy riches in silver, iron, tin, and lead; they traded in thy fairs.

13 “ Javã, Tubal e Meseque negociaram com você; trocaram escravos e utensílios de bronze pelos seus bens.

Greece, Tubal, and Meshech, thy merchants, with the soul of men and with vessels of brass; they traded in thy fairs.

14 “ Homens de Bete-Togarma trocaram cavalos de carga, cavalos de guerra e mulas pelas suas mercadorias.

Those of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.

15 “ Os homens de Rodes negociaram com você, e muitas regiões costeiras se tornaram seus clientes; pagaram-lhe suas compras com presas de marfim e com ébano.

The sons of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles took merchandise from thy hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and peacocks.

16 “ Arã negociou com você atraído por seus muitos produtos; em troca de suas mercadorias deu-lhe turquesa, tecido vermelho, trabalhos bordados, linho fino, coral e rubis.

Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they traded in thy fairs with rubies and purple and broidered work and fine linen and coral and pearls.

17 “ Judá e Israel negociaram com você; pelos seus bens trocaram trigo de Minite, confeitos, mel, azeite e bálsamo.

Judah, and the land of Israel; they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market with wheat, Minnith and Pannag and honey and oil and balm.

18 “ Em razão dos muitos produtos de que você dispõe e da grande riqueza de seus bens, Damasco negociou com você, pagando-lhe com vinho de Helbom e lã de Zaar.

Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the abundance of all riches, with wine of Helbon and white wool.

19 “ Também Dã e Javã, de Uzal, compraram suas mercadorias, trocando-as por ferro, cássia e cálamo.

Dan also and Greece and Mozel traded in thy fairs bright iron, cassia, and calamus.

20 “ Dedã negociou com você mantos de sela.

Dedan was thy merchant in precious cloth for chariots.

21 “ A Arábia e todos os príncipes de Quedar eram seus clientes; fizeram negócios com você, fornecendo-lhe cordeiros, carneiros e bodes.

Arabia and all the princes of Kedar, merchants of thy strength in lambs and rams and he goats: in these they were thy merchants.

22 “ Os mercadores de Sabá e de Raamá fizeram comércio com você; pelas mercadorias que você vende eles trocaram o que há de melhor em toda espécie de especiarias, pedras preciosas e ouro.

The merchants of Sheba and Raamah; they were thy merchants: they traded in thy fairs with the chief of all spices and with all precious stones and gold.

23 “ Harã, Cane e Éden e os mercadores de Sabá, Assur e Quilmade fizeram comércio com você.

Haran and Canneh and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad were in thy market.

24 N o seu mercado eles negociaram com você lindas roupas, tecido azul, trabalhos bordados e tapetes multicoloridos com cordéis retorcidos e de nós firmes.

These, thy merchants, negotiated with thee in all sorts of things: in blue robes and broidered work and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.

25 “ Os navios de Társis transportam os seus bens. Quanta carga pesada você tem no coração do mar.

The ships of Tarshish, thy squadrons, went forth on thy behalf: and thou wast full, and wast multiplied greatly in the midst of the seas.

26 S eus remadores a levam para alto mar. Mas o vento oriental a despedaçará no coração do mar.

¶ In many waters they overcame thy rowers; the east wind has broken thee in the midst of the seas.

27 S ua riqueza, suas mercadorias e seus bens, seus marujos, seus homens do mar e seus construtores de barcos, seus mercadores e todos os seus soldados, todos quantos estão a bordo sucumbirão no coração do mar no dia do seu naufrágio.

Thy riches, and thy markets, thy business, thy rowers, and thy pilots, those that repair thy breaches, and the agents of thy business, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

28 A s praias tremerão quando os seus marujos clamarem.

The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.

29 T odos os que manejam os remos abandonarão os seus navios; os marujos e todos os marinheiros ficarão na praia.

And all that handle the oar, the rowers, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land

30 E rguerão a voz e gritarão com amargura por sua causa; espalharão poeira sobre a cabeça e rolarão na cinza.

and shall cause their voice to be heard upon thee and shall cry bitterly and shall cast up dust upon their heads; they shall wallow themselves in the ashes.

31 R aparão a cabeça por sua causa e porão vestes de lamento. Chorarão por você com angústia na alma e com pranto amargurado.

And they shall pull out their hair for thee and gird themselves with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of soul and bitter wailings.

32 Q uando estiverem gritando e pranteando por você, erguerão este lamento a seu respeito: ‘Quem chegou a ser silenciada como Tiro, cercada pelo mar?’

And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee and lament over thee, saying, Who is like Tyre, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?

33 Q uando as suas mercadorias saíam para o mar, você satisfazia muitas nações; com sua grande riqueza e com seus bens você enriqueceu os reis da terra.

When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy contracts.

34 A gora, destruída pelo mar, você jaz nas profundezas das águas; seus bens e todos os que a acompanham afundaram com você.

In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy commerce and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.

35 T odos os que moram nas regiões litorâneas estão chocados com o que aconteceu com você; seus reis arrepiam-se horrorizados e os seus rostos estão desfigurados de medo.

All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid; they shall be troubled in their countenance.

36 O s mercadores entre as nações gritam de medo ao vê-la; chegou o seu terrível fim, e você não mais existirá”.

The merchants among the peoples shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror and never shalt be any more.
