1 A legrei-me com os que me disseram: “Vamos à casa do Senhor!”

¶ I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

2 N ossos pés já se encontram dentro de suas portas, ó Jerusalém!

Our feet stood within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 J erusalém está construída como cidade firmemente estabelecida.

Jerusalem, that one which is built as a city that is well united together

4 P ara lá sobem as tribos do Senhor, para dar graças ao Senhor, conforme o mandamento dado a Israel.

Because the tribes went up there, the tribes of JAH, the testimony to Israel, to praise the name of the LORD.

5 L á estão os tribunais de justiça, os tribunais da casa real de Davi.

For there are set thrones of the judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 O rem pela paz de Jerusalém: “Vivam em segurança aqueles que te amam!

¶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those that love thee shall be brought into rest.

7 H aja paz dentro dos teus muros e segurança nas tuas cidadelas!”

Peace be within thy walls and rest within thy palaces.

8 E m favor de meus irmãos e amigos, direi: Paz seja com você!

For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 E m favor da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, buscarei o seu bem.

Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek thy good.
