1 M isericórdia, ó Deus; misericórdia, pois em ti a minha alma se refugia. Eu me refugiarei à sombra das tuas asas, até que passe o perigo.

¶ Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in thee; and in the shadow of thy wings I will make my refuge until these calamities are overpast.

2 C lamo ao Deus Altíssimo, a Deus, que para comigo cumpre o seu propósito.

I will cry unto God most high, unto God that performs all things for me.

3 D os céus ele me envia a salvação, põe em fuga os que me perseguem de perto; Pausa Deus envia o seu amor e a sua fidelidade.

He shall send from the heavens and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

4 E stou em meio a leões, ávidos para devorar; seus dentes são lanças e flechas, suas línguas são espadas afiadas.

My soul is among lions, and I lie even among those that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows and their tongue a sharp sword.

5 S ê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus! Sobre toda a terra esteja a tua glória!

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

6 P reparam armadilhas para os meus pés; fiquei muito abatido. Abriram uma cova no meu caminho, mas foram eles que nela caíram. Pausa

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah.

7 M eu coração está firme, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; cantarei ao som de instrumentos!

¶ My heart is ready, O God, my heart is willing; I will sing and give praise.

8 A corde, minha alma! Acordem, harpa e lira! Vou despertar a alvorada!

Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp; I myself will arise early.

9 E u te louvarei, ó Senhor, entre as nações; cantarei teus louvores entre os povos.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing unto thee among the nations.

10 P ois o teu amor é tão grande que alcança os céus; a tua fidelidade vai até as nuvens.

For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

11 S ê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus! Sobre toda a terra esteja a tua glória!

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
