1 E m ti, Senhor, busquei refúgio; nunca permitas que eu seja humilhado.

¶ In thee, O LORD, have I waited; let me not be forever put to shame.

2 R esgata-me e livra-me por tua justiça; inclina o teu ouvido para mim e salva-me.

Deliver me in thy righteousness and cause me to escape; incline thine ear unto me and save me.

3 P eço-te que sejas a minha rocha de refúgio, para onde eu sempre possa ir; dá ordem para que me libertem, pois és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza.

Be thou my strong habitation unto which I may continually resort; thou hast given a commandment that I should be saved because thou art my rock and my fortress.

4 L ivra-me, ó meu Deus, das mãos dos ímpios, das garras dos perversos e cruéis.

Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the perverse and violent man.

5 P ois tu és a minha esperança, ó Soberano Senhor, em ti está a minha confiança desde a juventude.

For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD; thou art my security from my youth.

6 D esde o ventre materno dependo de ti; tu me sustentaste desde as entranhas de minha mãe. Eu sempre te louvarei!

By thee have I been sustained from the womb; thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels; my praise has been continually of thee.

7 T ornei-me um exemplo para muitos, porque tu és o meu refúgio seguro.

I am as a wonder unto many, but thou art my strong refuge.

8 D o teu louvor transborda a minha boca, que o tempo todo proclama o teu esplendor.

Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy glory all the day.

9 N ão me rejeites na minha velhice; não me abandones quando se vão as minhas forças.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.

10 P ois os meus inimigos me caluniam; os que estão à espreita juntam-se e planejam matar-me.

For my enemies speak against me, and those that lay in wait for my soul take counsel together,

11 “ Deus o abandonou”, dizem eles; “persigam-no e prendam-no, pois ninguém o livrará.”

saying, God has forsaken him; persecute and take him for there is no one to deliver him.

12 N ão fiques longe de mim, ó Deus; ó meu Deus, apressa-te em ajudar-me.

O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste for my help.

13 P ereçam humilhados os meus acusadores; sejam cobertos de zombaria e vergonha os que querem prejudicar-me.

Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

14 M as eu sempre terei esperança e te louvarei cada vez mais.

¶ But I will continually wait and will add upon all thy praise.

15 A minha boca falará sem cessar da tua justiça e dos teus incontáveis atos de salvação.

My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day, for I know not the numbers thereof.

16 F alarei dos teus feitos poderosos, ó Soberano Senhor; proclamarei a tua justiça, unicamente a tua justiça.

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

17 D esde a minha juventude, ó Deus, tens me ensinado, e até hoje eu anuncio as tuas maravilhas.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth and until now; I shall manifest thy wondrous works.

18 A gora que estou velho, de cabelos brancos, não me abandones, ó Deus, para que eu possa falar da tua força aos nossos filhos, e do teu poder às futuras gerações.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not until I have showed the strength of thy arm unto the next generation and thy power to every one that is to come,

19 T ua justiça chega até as alturas, ó Deus, tu, que tens feito coisas grandiosas. Quem se compara a ti, ó Deus?

and thy righteousness, O God, unto excellence because thou hast done great things; O God, who is like unto thee!

20 T u, que me fizeste passar muitas e duras tribulações, restaurarás a minha vida, e das profundezas da terra de novo me farás subir.

Thou who hast caused me to see great and sore troubles, shalt return and quicken me and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

21 T u me farás mais honrado e mais uma vez me consolarás.

Thou shalt increase my greatness and comfort me on every side.

22 E eu te louvarei com a lira por tua fidelidade, ó meu Deus; cantarei louvores a ti com a harpa, ó Santo de Israel.

I will also praise thee with an instrument of the psaltery, O my God; unto thee will I sing thy truth with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

23 O s meus lábios gritarão de alegria quando eu cantar louvores a ti, pois tu me redimiste.

My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing praises unto thee and my soul, which thou hast ransomed.

24 T ambém a minha língua sempre falará dos teus atos de justiça, pois os que queriam prejudicar-me foram humilhados e ficaram frustrados.

In the same manner my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness every day, for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
