1 A clamem a Deus, povos de toda terra!

¶ Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth;

2 C antem louvores ao seu glorioso nome; louvem-no gloriosamente!

sing forth the glory of his name; put glory into thy praise.

3 D igam a Deus: “Quão temíveis são os teus feitos! Tão grande é o teu poder que os teus inimigos rastejam diante de ti!

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

4 T oda a terra te adora e canta louvores a ti, canta louvores ao teu nome”. Pausa

All the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

5 V enham e vejam o que Deus tem feito; como são impressionantes as suas obras em favor dos homens!

Come and see the works of God; he is terrible in his doing toward the sons of men.

6 E le transformou o mar em terra seca, e o povo atravessou as águas a pé; e ali nos alegramos nele.

He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there did we rejoice in him.

7 E le governa para sempre com o seu poder, seus olhos vigiam as nações; que os rebeldes não se levantem contra ele! Pausa

He rules by his power for ever; his eyes watch the Gentiles; the rebellious shall not exalt themselves. Selah.

8 B endigam o nosso Deus, ó povos, façam ressoar o som do seu louvor;

¶ O bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard.

9 f oi ele quem preservou a nossa vida impedindo que os nossos pés escorregassem.

It is he who placed our soul into life and did not suffer our feet to slip.

10 P ois tu, ó Deus, nos submeteste à prova e nos refinaste como a prata.

For thou, O God, hast proved us; thou hast refined us as silver is refined.

11 F izeste-nos cair numa armadilha e sobre nossas costas puseste fardos.

Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction upon our loins.

12 D eixaste que os inimigos cavalgassem sobre a nossa cabeça; passamos pelo fogo e pela água, mas a um lugar de fartura nos trouxeste.

Thou hast placed a man over our head; we went through fire and through water, but thou didst bring us out into abundance.

13 P ara o teu templo virei com holocaustos e cumprirei os meus votos para contigo,

¶ I will go into thy house with burnt offerings; I will pay thee my vows,

14 v otos que os meus lábios fizeram e a minha boca falou quando eu estava em dificuldade.

which my lips have uttered and my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.

15 O ferecerei a ti animais gordos em holocausto; sacrificarei carneiros, cuja fumaça subirá a ti, e também novilhos e cabritos. Pausa

I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

16 V enham e ouçam, todos vocês que temem a Deus; vou contar-lhes o que ele fez por mim.

Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he has done unto my soul.

17 A ele clamei com os lábios; com a língua o exaltei.

I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18 S e eu acalentasse o pecado no coração, o Senhor não me ouviria;

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19 m as Deus me ouviu, deu atenção à oração que lhe dirigi.

But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 L ouvado seja Deus, que não rejeitou a minha oração nem afastou de mim o seu amor!

Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer nor his mercy from me.
