1 V i o Senhor junto ao altar, e ele disse: “Bata no topo das colunas para que tremam os umbrais. Faça que elas caiam sobre todos os presentes; e os que sobrarem matarei à espada. Ninguém fugirá, ninguém escapará.

¶ I saw the Lord standing upon the altar, and he said, Smite the threshold and shake the doors and cut the head of them all into pieces; and I will slay the last of them with the sword; there shall be none of them left to flee away or to escape.

2 A inda que escavem até às profundezas, dali a minha mão irá tirá-los. Se subirem até os céus, de lá os farei descer.

Though they dig unto Sheol, from there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down;

3 M esmo que se escondam no topo do Carmelo, lá os caçarei e os prenderei. Ainda que se escondam de mim no fundo do mar, ali ordenarei à serpente que os morda.

and though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out of there; and though they hide from my sight in the bottom of the sea, from there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

4 M esmo que sejam levados ao exílio por seus inimigos, ali ordenarei que a espada os mate. Vou vigiá-los para lhes fazer o mal e não o bem”.

and though they go into captivity before their enemies, from there I will command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set my eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

5 Q uanto ao Senhor, o Senhor dos Exércitos, ele toca na terra, e ela se derrete, e todos os que nela vivem pranteiam; ele ergue toda a terra como o Nilo, e depois a afunda como o ribeiro do Egito.

The Lord GOD of the hosts is he that touches the earth, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall all rise up like a river and shall be sunk, as the river of Egypt.

6 E le constrói suas câmaras altas, e firma a abóbada sobre a terra; ele reúne as águas do mar e as espalha sobre a superfície da terra. Senhor é o seu nome.

He that built his degrees in the heaven and has founded his gathering upon the earth; he that calls the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

7 “ Vocês, israelitas, não são para mim melhores do que os etíopes ”, declara o Senhor. “Eu tirei Israel do Egito, os filisteus de Caftor e os arameus de Quir.

O sons of Israel, Are ye not as sons of the Ethiopians unto me, said the LORD? Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Palestinians from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

8 “ Sem dúvida, os olhos do Senhor, o Soberano, se voltam para este reino pecaminoso. Eu o varrerei da superfície da terra, mas não destruirei totalmente a descendência de Jacó”, declara o Senhor.

Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are against the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, said the LORD.

9 “ Pois darei a ordem, e sacudirei a nação de Israel entre todas as nações, tal como o trigo é abanado numa peneira, e nem um grão cai na terra.

For, behold, I will command, and I will cause the house of Israel to be sifted among all the Gentiles like as the grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall to the earth.

10 T odos os pecadores que há no meio do meu povo morrerão à espada, todos os que dizem: ‘A desgraça não nos atingirá nem nos encontrará’. A Restauração de Israel

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, For our sake the evil shall not come near nor overtake us.

11 “ Naquele dia levantarei a tenda caída de Davi. Consertarei o que estiver quebrado, e restaurarei as suas ruínas. Eu a reerguerei, para que seja como era no passado,

¶ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen and close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

12 p ara que o meu povo conquiste o remanescente de Edom e todas as nações que me pertencem”, declara o Senhor, que realizará essas coisas.

that those who are called by my name may possess the remnant of Edom and all the Gentiles, said the LORD that does this.

13 “ Dias virão”, declara o Senhor, “em que a ceifa continuará até o tempo de arar, e o pisar das uvas até o tempo de semear. Vinho novo gotejará dos montes e fluirá de todas as colinas.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall catch up with the reaper, and the treader of grapes with him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop new wine, and all the hills shall melt.

14 T rarei de volta Israel, o meu povo exilado, eles reconstruirão as cidades em ruínas e nelas viverão. Plantarão vinhas e beberão do seu vinho; cultivarão pomares e comerão do seu fruto.

And I will turn the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens and eat the fruit of them.

15 P lantarei Israel em sua própria terra, para nunca mais ser desarraigado da terra que lhe dei”, diz o Senhor, o seu Deus.

For I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, said the LORD thy God.
