1 I nclina os teus ouvidos, ó Senhor, e responde-me, pois sou pobre e necessitado.

¶ Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me, for I am poor and needy.

2 G uarda a minha vida, pois sou fiel a ti. Tu és o meu Deus; salva o teu servo que em ti confia!

Preserve my soul; for I am merciful, O thou my God, save thy slave that trusts in thee.

3 M isericórdia, Senhor, pois clamo a ti sem cessar.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord, for I cry unto thee daily.

4 A legra o coração do teu servo, pois a ti, Senhor, elevo a minha alma.

Rejoice the soul of thy slave, for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 T u és bondoso e perdoador, Senhor, rico em graça para com todos os que te invocam.

For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all those that call upon thee.

6 E scuta a minha oração, Senhor; atenta para a minha súplica!

Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7 N o dia da minha angústia clamarei a ti, pois tu me responderás.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

8 N enhum dos deuses é comparável a ti, Senhor, nenhum deles pode fazer o que tu fazes.

¶ Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither is there any other who does thy works.

9 T odas as nações que tu formaste virão e te adorarão, Senhor, e glorificarão o teu nome.

All the Gentiles whom thou hast made shall come and humble themselves before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 P ois tu és grande e realizas feitos maravilhosos; só tu és Deus!

For thou art great and doest wondrous things; thou alone art God.

11 E nsina-me o teu caminho, Senhor, para que eu ande na tua verdade; dá-me um coração inteiramente fiel, para que eu tema o teu nome.

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm up my heart that I might fear thy name.

12 D e todo o meu coração te louvarei, Senhor, meu Deus; glorificarei o teu nome para sempre.

I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 P ois grande é o teu amor para comigo; tu me livraste das profundezas do Sheol.

For great is thy mercy upon me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest part of Sheol.

14 O s arrogantes estão me atacando, ó Deus; um bando de homens cruéis, gente que não faz caso de ti procura tirar-me a vida.

O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul and have not set thee before them.

15 M as tu, Senhor, és Deus compassivo e misericordioso, muito paciente, rico em amor e em fidelidade.

But thou, O Lord, art a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 V olta-te para mim! Tem misericórdia de mim! Concede a tua força a teu servo e salva o filho da tua serva.

O look into me and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy slave and keep the son of thine handmaid.

17 D á-me um sinal da tua bondade, para que os meus inimigos vejam e sejam humilhados, pois tu, Senhor, me ajudaste e me consolaste.

Show me a token for good that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed because thou, O LORD, hast helped me and comforted me.
