1 D oamne, pleacă-Ţi urechea şi răspunde-mi, căci sunt sărman şi lipsit.

¶ Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me, for I am poor and needy.

2 P ăzeşte-mi sufletul, căci sunt credincios, mântuieşte-l pe robul Tău, căci Tu eşti Dumnezeul meu; eu mă încred în Tine!

Preserve my soul; for I am merciful, O thou my God, save thy slave that trusts in thee.

3 S tăpâne, ai milă de mine, căci Te chem toată ziua!

Be merciful unto me, O Lord, for I cry unto thee daily.

4 A du bucurie robului Tău, căci la Tine, Stăpâne, îmi ridic sufletul.

Rejoice the soul of thy slave, for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 F iindcă Tu, Stăpâne, eşti bun şi iertător, bogat în îndurare faţă de toţi cei ce Te cheamă.

For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all those that call upon thee.

6 D oamne, auzi-mi rugăciunea, ascultă glasul cererii mele!

Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7 T e chem în ziua necazului meu, căci Tu îmi răspunzi.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

8 S tăpâne, nu este nimeni ca Tine între zei! Nimic nu se aseamănă cu lucrările Tale!

¶ Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither is there any other who does thy works.

9 T oate neamurile, pe care Tu le-ai făcut, vor veni să se închine înaintea Ta, Stăpâne, şi să-Ţi proslăvească Numele.

All the Gentiles whom thou hast made shall come and humble themselves before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 T u eşti mare, eşti înfăptuitor de minuni; numai Tu eşti Dumnezeu!

For thou art great and doest wondrous things; thou alone art God.

11 D oamne, învaţă-mă calea Ta, şi voi umbla în adevărul Tău! Dă-mi o inimă neîmpărţită pentru a mă teme de Numele Tău!

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm up my heart that I might fear thy name.

12 T e laud, Stăpâne, Dumnezeul meu, din toată inima mea, proslăvesc Numele Tău pe vecie,

I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 c ăci mare este îndurarea Ta faţă de mine; Tu mi-ai scăpat sufletul din adânca Locuinţă a Morţilor.

For great is thy mercy upon me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest part of Sheol.

14 D umnezeule, nişte îngâmfaţi se ridică împotriva mea şi o ceată de asupritori caută să mă omoare, oameni care nu ţin seama de Tine.

O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul and have not set thee before them.

15 T u însă, Stăpâne, eşti un Dumnezeu milostiv şi îndurător, încet la mânie, plin de îndurare şi credincioşie!

But thou, O Lord, art a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 Î ntoarce-Te spre mine şi ai milă de mine! Dă tăria Ta robului Tău şi mântuieşte-l pe fiul slujitoarei Tale!

O look into me and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy slave and keep the son of thine handmaid.

17 Î nfăptuieşte un semn care să arate bunătatea Ta faţă de mine, ca astfel duşmanii mei să vadă şi să fie făcuţi de ruşine pentru că Tu, Doamne, m-ai ajutat şi m-ai mângâiat.

Show me a token for good that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed because thou, O LORD, hast helped me and comforted me.
