1 A intrat din nou în sinagogă, şi acolo era un om care avea o mână uscată.

¶ And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.

2 E i Îl urmăreau pe Isus să vadă dacă-l va vindeca în ziua de Sabat, ca să-L poată astfel acuza.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day, that they might accuse him.

3 I sus i-a zis omului care avea mâna uscată: „Ridică-te şi stai în mijloc!“

So he said unto the man who had the withered hand, Stand forth.

4 A poi le-a zis lor: „Este voie în ziua de Sabat să faci bine sau să faci rău, să salvezi o viaţă sau să omori?“ Ei însă tăceau.

And he said unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days or to do evil? to save the person or to kill them? But they were silent.

5 Ş i-a rotit privirea peste ei cu mânie şi apoi, mâhnit de împietrirea inimii lor, i-a zis omului: „Întinde-ţi mâna!“ El a întins-o şi mâna lui a fost vindecată.

And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out and his hand was restored whole as the other.

6 A tunci fariseii au ieşit afară şi au ţinut imediat sfat cu irodienii împotriva Lui, cum să-L omoare. Mulţimile Îl urmează pe Isus

And as the Pharisees went forth, they took counsel with the Herodians against him, to kill him.

7 I sus S-a dus împreună cu ucenicii Săi spre mare. Şi o mare mulţime de oameni din Galileea L-au urmat. De asemenea, o mare mulţime de oameni din Iudeea,

But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea

8 d in Ierusalim, din Idumeea, de dincolo de Iordan şi din jurul Tirului şi al Sidonului, când au auzit despre tot ce făcea, au venit la El.

and from Jerusalem and from Idumaea and from beyond Jordan. And those who dwell around Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came unto him.

9 E l le-a zis ucenicilor Săi să-I ţină la îndemână o barcă mică, din cauza mulţimii, ca să nu-L îmbulzească.

And he spoke to his disciples that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

10 C ăci El îi vindecase pe mulţi şi de aceea toţi cei ce aveau boli se înghesuiau în jurul Lui ca să-L atingă.

For he had healed many, insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed upon him to touch him.

11 C ând Îl vedeau, duhurile necurate cădeau înaintea Lui şi strigau: „Tu eşti Fiul lui Dumnezeu!“

And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

12 E l însă le atenţiona cu severitate să nu-L facă cunoscut. Alegerea celor doisprezece apostoli

And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

13 I sus S-a urcat pe munte şi i-a chemat pe cei pe care El a vrut, iar ei au venit la El.

¶ And he went up to the mountain and called unto himself whom he would, and they came unto him.

14 E l a ales doisprezece, (pe care i-a numit apostoli), ca să fie cu El, să-i trimită să predice

And he established twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach

15 ş i să le dea autoritate să scoată demoni.

and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out devils:

16 ( Iată-i deci pe cei doisprezece pe care i-a ales): Simon, căruia i-a pus numele Petru;

Simon, whom he gave the name Peter;

17 I acov, fiul lui Zebedei, şi Ioan, fratele lui Iacov, cărora le-a pus numele „ Boanerghes “, care înseamnă „Fiii tunetului“;

and James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, whom he surnamed them Boanerges, which is The sons of thunder;

18 A ndrei; Filip; Bartolomeu; Matei; Toma; Iacov, fiul lui Alfeu; Tadeu; Simon, zelotul,

and Andrew and Philip and Bartholomew and Matthew and Thomas and James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus and Simon the Canaanite

19 ş i Iuda Iscarioteanul, cel care L-a trădat pe Isus. Isus şi Beelzebul

and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him; and they came home.

20 A u venit apoi în casă, dar mulţimea s-a adunat din nou, aşa că ei nu puteau nici măcar să mănânce.

And the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

21 C ând au auzit ai Lui ce se întâmplă, au ieşit să-L înşface, căci ziceau că a înnebunit.

And when his friends and family heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him; for they said, He is beside himself.

22 C ărturarii care veniseră de la Ierusalim ziceau că îl are în El pe Beelzebul şi că scoate demonii cu ajutorul conducătorului demonilor.

¶ But the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said that he had Beelzebub and that by the prince of the devils he cast out devils.

23 I sus i-a chemat la El şi le-a vorbit în pilde: „Cum poate Satan să-l scoată afară pe Satan?!

And he called them unto him and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

24 D acă o împărăţie este dezbinată împotriva ei înseşi, împărăţia aceea nu poate dăinui.

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot remain.

25 Ş i dacă o casă este dezbinată împotriva ei înseşi, casa aceea nu va putea dăinui.

And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot remain.

26 A şadar, dacă Satan se ridică împotriva lui însuşi şi este dezbinat, atunci nu poate dăinui, ci i-a venit sfârşitul.

And if Satan rises up against himself and is divided, he cannot remain, but has an end.

27 N imeni nu poate să intre în casa celui puternic şi să-i fure lucrurile, decât dacă îl leagă mai întâi pe cel puternic! Abia atunci îi va putea jefui casa.

No man can enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods except he will first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house.

28 A devărat vă spun că oamenilor le vor fi iertate toate păcatele şi toate blasfemiile pe care le vor rosti,

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men and whatever blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme,

29 d ar cel ce blasfemiază împotriva Duhului Sfânt nu va avea parte de iertare în veci, ci este vinovat de un păcat veşnic.“

but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit shall never have forgiveness but is obligated to eternal judgment,

30 S punea astfel pentru că ei ziceau: „Are un duh necurat!“ Mama şi fraţii lui Isus

because they said, He has an unclean spirit.

31 A tunci mama şi fraţii Lui au venit şi, stând afară, au trimis să-L cheme.

¶ There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

32 M ulţimea care şedea în jurul Lui I-a zis: – Iată că mama Ta, fraţii Tăi (şi surorile Tale) sunt afară şi Te caută!

The multitude was sitting all around him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brothers and sisters seek thee without.

33 I sus le-a răspuns: – Cine este mama Mea şi cine sunt fraţii Mei?

And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother or my brethren?

34 Ş i rotindu-şi privirea peste cei ce şedeau în jurul Lui, a zis: – Iată mama Mea şi fraţii Mei!

And looking round about on those who sat about him, he said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

35 C ăci cel ce face voia lui Dumnezeu, acela Îmi este frate, soră şi mamă.

For whosoever doeth the will of God, the same is my brother and my sister and my mother.
