1 A i milă de mine, Dumnezeule, ai milă de mine, căci la Tine îmi caut scăparea! La umbra aripilor Tale caut adăpost până când trece necazul.

¶ Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in thee; and in the shadow of thy wings I will make my refuge until these calamities are overpast.

2 S trig către Dumnezeul Preaînalt, către Dumnezeul Care mă răzbună.

I will cry unto God most high, unto God that performs all things for me.

3 E l trimite poruncă din cer şi mă mântuieşte; îl face de ruşine pe prigonitorul meu! Sela Dumnezeu Îşi trimite îndurarea şi credincioşia.

He shall send from the heavens and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

4 S unt în mijlocul leilor; mă culc printre cei ce devorează, oameni ai căror dinţi sunt suliţe şi săgeţi şi a căror limbă este o sabie tăioasă.

My soul is among lions, and I lie even among those that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows and their tongue a sharp sword.

5 F ii înălţat, Dumnezeule, mai presus de ceruri! Fie slava Ta peste întreg pământul!

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

6 E i întinseseră un laţ paşilor mei, – sufletul îmi era încovoiat de durere –, îmi săpaseră o groapă, dar au căzut ei înşişi în ea. Sela

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah.

7 I nima mea este pregătită, Dumnezeule, inima mea este pregătită! Voi cânta şi voi suna din instrumentele mele.

¶ My heart is ready, O God, my heart is willing; I will sing and give praise.

8 T rezeşte-te, suflet al meu! Treziţi-vă, harfă şi liră! Voi trezi zorii!

Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp; I myself will arise early.

9 S tăpâne, Te voi lăuda printre popoare, Îţi voi cânta printre neamuri!

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing unto thee among the nations.

10 C ăci îndurarea Ta este mare, ajunge până la ceruri, iar credincioşia Ta – până la nori.

For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

11 F ii înălţat, Dumnezeule, mai presus de ceruri! Fie slava Ta peste întreg pământul!
