9 D in Hodeş, soţia lui, i s-au născut: Iobab, Ţibia, Meşa, Malcam,

And he begat of Hodesh, his wife, Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcham,

10 I euţ, Sachia şi Mirma. Aceştia au fost fiii lui, căpetenii de familii.

Jeuz, Shachia, and Mirma. These are his sons, heads of the fathers.

11 D in Huşim i se născuseră Abitub şi Elpaal.

And of Hushim he begat Abitub and Elpaal.

12 F iii lui Elpaal au fost: Eber, Mişam, Şamed (cel care a zidit Ono şi Lod cu satele dimprejurul lor),

The sons of Elpaal: Eber, Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof.

13 B eria şi Şema, cei care au fost căpeteniile familiilor locuitorilor din Aialon şi care i-au pus pe fugă pe locuitorii din Gat.

28 T oţi acestea au fost căpetenii de familii, fiind înscrise în genealogiile lor drept căpetenii. Ei au locuit la Ierusalim. Familia lui Saul

These were heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief men who dwelt in Jerusalem.

29 I eiel, tatăl lui Ghivon, a locuit în Ghivon. Numele soţiei lui era Maaca.

And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; whose wife’s name was Maachah,

Gedor, Ahio, and Zacher.

32 ş i Miklot, căruia i s-a născut Şimea. Şi aceştia, asemenea rudelor lor, au locuit la Ierusalim împreună cu rudele lor.

And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, next to them.

33 L ui Ner i s-a născut Chiş, lui Chiş – Saul, iar lui Saul – Ionatan, Malchi-Şua, Abinadab şi Eşbaal.

¶ And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

34 F iul lui Ionatan a fost Merib-Baal; lui Merib-Baal i s-a născut Mica.

And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal begat Micah.

35 F iii lui Mica au fost: Piton, Melek, Tarea şi Ahaz.

The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.

36 L ui Ahaz i s-a născut Iehoada; lui Iehoada i s-au născut Alemet, Azmavet şi Zimri, iar lui Zimri i s-a născut Moţa.

And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth and Azmaveth and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,

37 L ui Moţa i s-a născut Bina, al cărui fiu a fost Rafa. Fiul acestuia a fost Elasa, iar fiul acestuia a fost Aţel.

and Moza begat Binea; Rapha was his son, Eleasah, his son, Azel, his son.

38 A ţel a avut şase fii; numele lor au fost: Azrikam, întâiul lui născut, Ismael, Şearia, Obadia şi Hanan. Toţi aceştia au fost fiii lui Aţel.

And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

39 F iii lui Eşek, fratele lui Aţel, au fost: Ulam, întâiul lui născut, Ieuş, al doilea, şi Elifelet, al treilea.

And the sons of Eshek, his brother: Ulam, his firstborn, Jehush, the second, and Eliphelet, the third.

40 F iii lui Ulam au fost războinici viteji, arcaşi. Ei au avut mulţi fii şi nepoţi – în total o sută cincizeci. Toţi aceştia au fost urmaşi ai lui Beniamin.

And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, expert archers who had many sons, and sons’ sons, one hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.
