1 A poi adu-i lângă tine, dintre israeliţi, pe fratele tău, Aaron, şi pe fiii săi, Nadab şi Abihu, Elazar şi Itamar, ca să-Mi împlinească slujba de preoţi.

¶ And cause Aaron, thy brother, to come unto thee with his sons, from among the sons of Israel, that they may be my priests, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.

2 F ratelui tău, Aaron, să-i faci veşminte sfinte, ca acestea să-i confere demnitate şi să-i servească drept podoabă;

And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron, thy brother, for honour and for beauty.

3 s ă vorbeşti cu toţi acei oameni pricepuţi, pe care i-am umplut cu un duh de înţelepciune, să facă veşmintele lui Aaron, ca să fie sfinţit şi să-Mi împlinească slujba de preot.

And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the Spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to sanctify him, that he may be my priest.

4 A cestea sunt veşmintele pe care trebuie să le facă: un pieptar, un efod, o mantie, o tunică ţesută, o mitră şi un brâu. Atunci când vor face aceste veşminte sfinte pentru fratele tău, Aaron, şi pentru fiii săi, ca aceştia să-Mi împlinească slujba de preoţi,

And these are the garments which they shall make: the pectoral, the ephod, the robe, the broidered coat, the mitre, and the girdle. Therefore let them make the holy garments for Aaron, thy brother, and his sons, that they may be my priests.

5 s ă folosească aur, fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi fir de in subţire. Instrucţiuni privind efodul

And they shall take gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen,

6 S ă facă un efod din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit, lucrat cu măiestrie.

¶ and they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

7 A cesta să aibă doi umerari prinşi la cele două margini ale sale, în aşa fel încât să fie unit cu ei.

It shall have its two shoulderpieces joined at the two edges thereof, and so it shall be joined together.

8 B râul efodului, care este prins de el, să fie lucrat la fel şi din aceleaşi materiale: din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit.

And the special girdle of the ephod, which shall be over it, shall be of its same workmanship, of the same materials: of gold, blue, purple, scarlet and fine twined linen.

9 S ă iei două pietre de onix şi să gravezi pe ele numele israeliţilor:

And thou shalt take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel:

10 ş ase din numele lor pe o piatră, iar celelalte şase pe cealaltă piatră, în ordinea naşterii lor.

Six of their names on one stone and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

11 A şa cum este lucrătura gravorului pe o piatră sau aşa cum este gravura unui sigiliu, tot aşa să gravezi pe cele două pietre numele israeliţilor şi să fixezi apoi aceste pietre în monturi de aur.

With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a seal, shalt thou engrave those two stones with the names of the sons of Israel; thou shalt make them to be set in settings of gold.

12 S ă pui cele două pietre pe umerarii efodului, ca să fie pietre de aducere-aminte pentru israeliţi. Aaron să poarte numele lor înaintea Domnului, pe umerii săi, ca aducere-aminte.

And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the sons of Israel, and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

13 M onturile să le faci din aur;

And thou shalt make the settings of gold

14 s ă faci şi două lănţişoare din aur curat, împletite ca nişte funii şi să prinzi aceste lănţişoare de monturi. Instrucţiuni privind pieptarul

and two small chains of pure gold; of wreathen work shalt thou make them and fasten the wreathen chains to the settings.

15 S ă faci pieptarul judecăţii, lucrându-l cu măiestrie; să-l faci la fel ca efodul, din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit.

¶ And in the same manner thou shalt make the pectoral of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it, of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and of fine twined linen.

16 S ă aibă suprafaţa pătrată şi să fie făcut din material dublu; lungimea şi lăţimea să fie de o palmă.

It shall be square and double; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.

17 S ă fixezi pe el patru şiruri de pietre: pe primul şir – un sard, un topaz şi un smarald,

And thou shalt fill it with four rows of stones; The order shall be a ruby, an emerald, and a chrysolite; this shall be the first order.

18 p e al doilea şir – un turcoaz, un safir şi un diamant,

And the second order shall be a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a diamond.

19 p e al treilea şir – un iacint, un agat şi un ametist, iar

And the third order, a topaz, a turquoise, and an amethyst.

20 p e al patrulea şir – un crisolit, un onix şi un jasp. Acestea să fie fixate în monturi de aur.

And the fourth row a tarshish (or beryl) and an onyx and a jasper; they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

21 S ă aveţi douăsprezece pietre cu numele israeliţilor; pe fiecare dintre acestea să fie gravate, asemenea sigiliilor, numele uneia din cele douăsprezece seminţii.

And those stones shall be in agreement with the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, in agreement with their names; each one in agreement with his name like the engravings of a seal; they shall be according to the twelve tribes.

22 P entru pieptar să faci lănţişoare din aur curat, răsucite ca nişte funii;

And thou shalt also make upon the pectoral small chains of wreathen work of pure gold.

23 t ot pentru pieptar să mai faci două inele din aur şi să fixezi ambele inele la cele două margini ale pieptarului.

And thou shalt make upon the pectoral two rings of gold and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the pectoral.

24 S ă treci cele două lănţişoare de aur prin cele două inele de la marginile pieptarului,

And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the pectoral.

25 i ar celelalte două capete ale lănţişoarelor să le prinzi în cele două monturi şi să le pui peste umerarii efodului, în partea din faţă.

And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two settings and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod on the front of it.

26 S ă mai faci două inele de aur şi să le pui la celelalte două margini ale pieptarului, pe partea interioară, în apropierea efodului.

Thou shalt also make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the pectoral in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.

27 A poi să mai faci încă două inele de aur şi să le pui în partea inferioară a umerarilor efodului, la nivelul legăturilor sale, deasupra brâului efodului.

Likewise two other rings of gold thou shalt make and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the front part thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the special girdle of the ephod.

28 P ieptarul cu inelele lui să fie legat de inelele efodului cu o sfoară albastră, astfel încât să fie fixat peste brâul efodului fără să se mişte de pe efod.

And they shall bind the pectoral by its rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the special girdle of the ephod and that the pectoral not be loosed from the ephod.

29 A stfel, atunci când va intra în Locul Sfânt, Aaron va purta numele israeliţilor pe inima sa, fixate pe pieptarul judecăţii, pentru o aducere-aminte continuă înaintea Domnului.

And Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel in the pectoral of judgment upon his heart when he goes in unto the sanctuary for a memorial before the LORD continually.

30 P e pieptarul judecăţii să fixezi Urimul şi Tumimul; ele vor fi pe inima lui Aaron atunci când va merge înaintea Domnului. În acest fel, Aaron va purta întotdeauna pe inima sa judecata israeliţilor când va fi înaintea Domnului. Instrucţiuni cu privire la alte veşminte ale preoţilor

And thou shalt put in the pectoral of judgment Urim and Thummim, that they shall be upon Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD; and Aaron shall always bear the judgment of the sons of Israel upon his heart before the LORD.

31 M antia efodului să o faci din fir de culoare albastră.

¶ And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

32 S ă aibă o deschizătură pentru cap ca şi deschizătura unei cămăşi cu zale, cu un tiv ţesut de jur împrejurul ei, ca să nu se rupă.

And it shall have the collar of his head in the midst thereof, which shall have a binding of woven work round about it, as the collar of a habergeon, that it not be rent.

33 P e marginea de jos, de jur împrejur, să-i faci rodii din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, cu clopoţei din aur între ele;

And beneath upon the hem of it, thou shalt make pomegranates of blue and of purple and of scarlet round about the hem thereof and bells of gold between them round about.

34 s ă fie câte un clopoţel de aur şi o rodie, un clopoţel de aur şi o rodie, pe marginea de jos a mantiei, de jur împrejur.

A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate upon the hem of the robe round about.

35 A aron să poarte mantia atunci când va face slujba; când va intra în Locul Sfânt, înaintea Domnului şi când va ieşi de acolo, se va auzi sunetul clopoţeilor şi astfel el nu va muri.

And it shall be upon Aaron to minister, and his sound shall be heard when he goes in unto the sanctuary before the LORD and when he comes out, that he not die.

36 S ă faci apoi o plăcuţă din aur curat şi să gravezi pe ea, aşa cum se gravează un sigiliu: «Sfânt pentru Domnul. »

Thou shalt also make an open flower of pure gold and engrave upon it the engravings of a seal, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD.

37 S ă o prinzi pe mitră cu o sfoară albastră; ea să se afle în partea din faţă a mitrei.

And thou shalt put it on with a blue lace that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

38 S ă fie pe fruntea lui Aaron, iar Aaron va purta asupra lui fărădelegile israeliţilor, când ei îşi vor aduce darurile sfinte; să fie întotdeauna pe fruntea sa, pentru ca ei să fie acceptaţi înaintea Domnului.

And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the sons of Israel shall sanctify in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead that they may find grace before the LORD.

39 S ă ţeşi apoi o tunică din fir de in subţire şi să faci o mitră tot din fir de in subţire; brâul să fie lucrat la gherghef.

And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.

40 P entru fiii lui Aaron să faci tunici, brâie şi scufii, ca acestea să le confere demnitate şi să le servească drept podoabe.

¶ And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats; thou shalt also make girdles for them, and tiaras shalt thou make for them, for honour and for beauty.

41 S ă-i îmbraci cu ele pe Aaron şi pe fiii lui, după care să-i ungi, să-i învesteşti în slujire şi să-i sfinţeşti, căci ei Îmi vor sluji ca preoţi.

And with these thou shalt clothe Aaron, thy brother, and his sons with him and shalt anoint them and fill their hands and sanctify them that they may be my priests.

42 S ă le faci izmene de in, ca să le acopere goliciunea, de la şold până la coapse.

And thou shalt make them linen underwear to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the loins even unto the thighs;

43 A aron şi fiii săi să le poarte când intră în Cortul Întâlnirii sau în momentul în care se apropie de altar, ca să slujească în Locul Sfânt; dacă nu vor face aşa, vor aduce vina asupra lor şi vor muri. Aceasta să fie o poruncă veşnică pentru el şi pentru urmaşii lui după el.

And they shall be upon Aaron and upon his sons when they enter into the tabernacle of the testimony or when they come near unto the altar to serve in the sanctuary that they not bear iniquity and die: This shall be a perpetual statute unto him and his seed after him.
