1 I ată popasurile israeliţilor care au ieşit din ţara Egiptului potrivit oştirilor lor, sub conducerea lui Moise şi a lui Aaron.

¶ These are the journeys of the sons of Israel who went forth out of the land of Egypt with their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

2 L a porunca Domnului, Moise a scris popasurile din timpul călătoriilor lor. Iată călătoriile lor potrivit popasurilor lor:

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD. These are their journeys according to their goings out.

3 I sraeliţii au ieşit din Ramses în a cincisprezecea zi a lunii întâi, a doua zi după Paşte. Au ieşit cu îndrăzneală sub privirile tuturor egiptenilor

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the second day of the passover the sons of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

4 î n timp ce egiptenii îşi înmormântau întâii născuţi pe care Domnul îi lovise, căci Domnul a adus judecata până şi asupra zeilor lor.

For the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them, the LORD having also executed judgments upon their gods.

5 I sraeliţii au părăsit Ramsesul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Sucot.

And the sons of Israel removed from Rameses and pitched in Succoth.

6 A u părăsit Sucotul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Etam, care este la marginea pustiei.

And they departed from Succoth and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

7 A u părăsit Etamul, s-au întors la Pi-Hahirot care este faţă în faţă cu Baal-Ţefon şi şi-au aşezat tabăra înaintea Migdolului.

And they removed from Etham and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon, and they pitched before Migdol.

8 A u părăsit Pi-Hahirotul, au trecut prin mijlocul mării spre pustie, au călătorit trei zile în pustia Etamului şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Mara.

And they departed from before Pihahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and pitched in Marah.

9 A u plecat din Mara, s-au dus la Elim, unde erau douăsprezece izvoare şi şaptezeci de palmieri şi şi-au aşezat tabăra acolo.

And they removed from Marah and came unto Elim, and in Elim were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees, and they pitched there.

10 A u părăsit Elimul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra lângă Marea Roşie.

And they removed from Elim and encamped by the Red sea.

11 A u părăsit Marea Roşie şi şi-au aşezat tabăra în pustia Sin.

And they removed from the Red sea and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

12 A u părăsit pustia Sin şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Dofka.

And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin and encamped in Dophkah.

13 A u părăsit Dofka şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Aluş.

And they departed from Dophkah and encamped in Alush.

14 A u părăsit Aluşul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Refidim, unde nu s-a găsit apă de băut pentru popor.

And they removed from Alush and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15 A u părăsit Refidimul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra în pustia Sinai.

And they departed from Rephidim and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.

16 A u părăsit pustia Sinai şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Chibrot-Hataava.

And they removed from the desert of Sinai and pitched at Kibrothhattaavah.

17 A u părăsit Chibrot-Hataava şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Haţerot.

And they departed from Kibrothhattaavah and encamped at Hazeroth.

18 A u părăsit Haţerotul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Ritma.

And they departed from Hazeroth and pitched in Rithmah.

19 A u părăsit Ritma şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Rimon-Pereţ.

And they departed from Rithmah and pitched at Rimmonparez.

20 A u părăsit Rimon-Pereţ şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Libna.

And they departed from Rimmonparez and pitched in Libnah.

21 A u părăsit Libna şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Risa.

And they removed from Libnah and pitched at Rissah.

22 A u părăsit Risa şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Chehelata.

And they journeyed from Rissah and pitched in Kehelathah.

23 A u părăsit Chehelata şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la muntele Şafer.

And they went from Kehelathah and pitched in Mount Shapher.

24 A u părăsit muntele Şafer şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Harada.

And they removed from Mount Shapher and encamped in Haradah.

25 A u părăsit Harada şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Makhelot.

And they removed from Haradah and pitched in Makheloth.

26 A u părăsit Makhelotul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Tahat.

And they removed from Makheloth and encamped at Tahath.

27 A u părăsit Tahatul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Terah.

And they departed from Tahath and pitched at Tarah.

28 A u părăsit Terahul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Mitka.

And they removed from Tarah and pitched in Mithcah.

29 A u părăsit Mitka şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Haşmona.

And they went from Mithcah and pitched in Hashmonah.

30 A u părăsit Haşmona şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Moserot.

And they departed from Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth.

31 A u părăsit Moserotul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Bene-Iaakan.

And they departed from Moseroth and pitched in Benejaakan.

32 A u părăsit Bene-Iaakan şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Hor-Haghidgad.

And they removed from Benejaakan and encamped at Horhagidgad.

33 A u părăsit Hor-Haghidgad şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Iotbata.

And they went from Horhagidgad and pitched in Jotbathah.

34 A u părăsit Iotbata şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Abrona.

And they removed from Jotbathah and encamped at Ebronah.

35 A u părăsit Abrona şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Eţion-Gheber.

And they departed from Ebronah and encamped at Eziongaber.

36 A u părăsit Eţion-Gheber şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Kadeş, în pustia Ţin.

And they removed from Eziongaber and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37 A u părăsit Kadeşul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la muntele Hor, la hotarul Edomului.

And they removed from Kadesh and pitched in Mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

38 L a porunca Domnului, preotul Aaron s-a urcat pe muntele Hor unde a murit în prima zi a lunii a cincea, în al patruzecilea an după ieşirea israeliţilor din ţara Egiptului.

And Aaron, the priest, went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD and died there in the fortieth year, after the sons of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

39 A aron era în vârstă de o sută douăzeci şi trei de ani când a murit pe muntele Hor.

And Aaron was one hundred and twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.

40 R egele canaanit al Aradului, care locuia în Neghev, în Canaan, a auzit de venirea israeliţilor.

And King Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard how the sons of Israel had come.

41 A u părăsit muntele Hor şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Ţalmona.

And they departed from Mount Hor and pitched in Zalmonah.

42 A u părăsit Ţalmona şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Punon.

And they departed from Zalmonah and pitched in Punon.

43 A u părăsit Punonul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Obot.

And they departed from Punon and pitched in Oboth.

44 A u părăsit Obot şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Iye-Abarim, la hotarul Moabului.

And they departed from Oboth and pitched in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab.

45 A u părăsit Iymul şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Dibon-Gad.

And they departed from Iim and pitched in Dibongad.

46 A u părăsit Dibon-Gad şi şi-au aşezat tabăra la Almon-Diblataim.

And they removed from Dibongad and encamped in Almondiblathaim.

47 A u părăsit Almon-Diblataim şi şi-au aşezat tabăra în munţii Abarimului, înaintea muntelui Nebo.

And they removed from Almondiblathaim and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48 A u părăsit munţii Abarimului şi şi-au aşezat tabăra în câmpiile Moabului, lângă Iordan, în faţa Ierihonului.

And they departed from the mountains of Abarim and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan of Jericho.

49 A colo, în câmpiile Moabului, şi-au aşezat tabăra de-a lungul Iordanului, de la Bet-Ieşimot la Abel-Şitim. Porunci privind cucerirea ţării

Finally they pitched by the Jordan, from Bethjesimoth even unto Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.

50 D omnul i-a vorbit lui Moise în câmpiile Moabului, lângă Iordan, în faţa Ierihonului şi i-a zis:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,

51 „ Spune-le israeliţilor: «Când veţi trece dincolo de Iordan, în Canaan,

Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have passed the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52 s ă-i izgoniţi pe toţi locuitorii ţării dinaintea voastră. Să le distrugeţi toate chipurile de piatră şi toate chipurile turnate şi să le nimiciţi toate înălţimile.

then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and abolish all their paintings and abolish all their molten images and destroy all their high places,

53 L uaţi ţara în stăpânire şi aşezaţi-vă în ea, căci Eu v-am dat ţara aceasta de moştenire.

and ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell therein; for I have given you the land to inherit it.

54 Î mpărţiţi ţara prin tragere la sorţi, după numărul clanurilor voastre. Celor ce sunt mai mulţi să le dai o moştenire mai mare, iar celor ce sunt mai puţini să le dai o moştenire mai mică. Moştenirea fiecăruia să fie în locul care iese prin tragere la sorţi. Să luaţi în stăpânire ţara potrivit seminţiilor părinţilor voştri.

And ye shall inherit the land by lots by your families, and to those with the most ye shall give more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give less inheritance, each one’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falls; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

55 D ar dacă nu-i veţi izgoni pe locuitorii ţării, aceia pe care îi veţi lăsa să rămână vor fi ca nişte spini în ochii voştri şi ca nişte ghimpi în coaste. Ei vă vor duşmăni în ţara în care veţi locui.

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come to pass that those whom ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides and shall afflict you in the land in which ye dwell.

56 Ş i vă voi face şi vouă aşa cum am plănuit să le fac lor.»“

Moreover it shall come to pass that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
