1 V oici les stations des enfants d'Israël qui sortirent du pays d'Égypte, selon leurs corps d'armée, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.

¶ These are the journeys of the sons of Israel who went forth out of the land of Egypt with their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

2 M oïse écrivit leurs marches de station en station, d'après l'ordre de l'Éternel. Et voici leurs stations, selon leurs marches.

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD. These are their journeys according to their goings out.

3 I ls partirent de Ramsès le premier mois, le quinzième jour du premier mois. Le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d'Israël sortirent la main levée, à la vue de tous les Égyptiens.

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the second day of the passover the sons of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

4 E t les Égyptiens enterraient ceux que l'Éternel avait frappés parmi eux, tous les premiers-nés; l'Éternel exerçait aussi des jugements contre leurs dieux.

For the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them, the LORD having also executed judgments upon their gods.

5 L es enfants d'Israël partirent de Ramsès, et campèrent à Succoth.

And the sons of Israel removed from Rameses and pitched in Succoth.

6 I ls partirent de Succoth, et campèrent à Étham, qui est à l'extrémité du désert.

And they departed from Succoth and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

7 I ls partirent d'Étham, se détournèrent vers Pi Hahiroth, vis-à-vis de Baal Tsephon, et campèrent devant Migdol.

And they removed from Etham and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon, and they pitched before Migdol.

8 I ls partirent de devant Pi Hahiroth, et passèrent au milieu de la mer dans la direction du désert; ils firent trois journées de marche dans le désert d'Étham, et campèrent à Mara.

And they departed from before Pihahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and pitched in Marah.

9 I ls partirent de Mara, et arrivèrent à Élim; il y avait à Élim douze sources d'eau et soixante-dix palmiers: ce fut là qu'ils campèrent.

And they removed from Marah and came unto Elim, and in Elim were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees, and they pitched there.

10 I ls partirent d'Élim, et campèrent près de la mer Rouge.

And they removed from Elim and encamped by the Red sea.

11 I ls partirent de la mer Rouge, et campèrent dans le désert de Sin.

And they removed from the Red sea and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

12 I ls partirent du désert de Sin, et campèrent à Dophka.

And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin and encamped in Dophkah.

13 I ls partirent de Dophka, et campèrent à Alusch.

And they departed from Dophkah and encamped in Alush.

14 I ls partirent d'Alusch, et campèrent à Rephidim, où le peuple ne trouva point d'eau à boire.

And they removed from Alush and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15 I ls partirent de Rephidim, et campèrent dans le désert de Sinaï.

And they departed from Rephidim and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.

16 I ls partirent de désert du Sinaï, et campèrent à Kibroth Hattaava.

And they removed from the desert of Sinai and pitched at Kibrothhattaavah.

17 I ls partirent de Kibroth Hattaava, et campèrent à Hatséroth.

And they departed from Kibrothhattaavah and encamped at Hazeroth.

18 I ls partirent de Hatséroth, et campèrent à Rithma.

And they departed from Hazeroth and pitched in Rithmah.

19 I ls partirent de Rithma, et campèrent à Rimmon Pérets.

And they departed from Rithmah and pitched at Rimmonparez.

20 I ls partirent de Rimmon Pérets, et campèrent à Libna.

And they departed from Rimmonparez and pitched in Libnah.

21 I ls partirent de Libna, et campèrent à Rissa.

And they removed from Libnah and pitched at Rissah.

22 I ls partirent de Rissa, et campèrent à Kehélatha.

And they journeyed from Rissah and pitched in Kehelathah.

23 I ls partirent de Kehélatha, et campèrent à la montagne de Schapher.

And they went from Kehelathah and pitched in Mount Shapher.

24 I ls partirent de la montagne de Schapher, et campèrent à Harada.

And they removed from Mount Shapher and encamped in Haradah.

25 I ls partirent de Harada, et campèrent à Makhéloth.

And they removed from Haradah and pitched in Makheloth.

26 I ls partirent de Makhéloth, et campèrent à Tahath.

And they removed from Makheloth and encamped at Tahath.

27 I ls partirent de Tahath, et campèrent à Tarach.

And they departed from Tahath and pitched at Tarah.

28 I ls partirent de Tarach, et campèrent à Mithka.

And they removed from Tarah and pitched in Mithcah.

29 I ls partirent de Mithka, et campèrent à Haschmona.

And they went from Mithcah and pitched in Hashmonah.

30 I ls partirent de Haschmona, et campèrent à Moséroth.

And they departed from Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth.

31 I ls partirent de Moséroth, et campèrent à Bené Jaakan.

And they departed from Moseroth and pitched in Benejaakan.

32 I ls partirent de Bené Jaakan, et campèrent à Hor Guidgad.

And they removed from Benejaakan and encamped at Horhagidgad.

33 I ls partirent de Hor Guidgad, et campèrent à Jothbatha.

And they went from Horhagidgad and pitched in Jotbathah.

34 I ls partirent de Jothbatha, et campèrent à Abrona.

And they removed from Jotbathah and encamped at Ebronah.

35 I ls partirent d'Abrona, et campèrent à Etsjon Guéber.

And they departed from Ebronah and encamped at Eziongaber.

36 I ls partirent d'Etsjon Guéber, et campèrent dans le désert de Tsin: c'est Kadès.

And they removed from Eziongaber and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37 I ls partirent de Kadès, et campèrent à la montagne de Hor, à l'extrémité du pays d'Édom.

And they removed from Kadesh and pitched in Mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

38 L e sacrificateur Aaron monta sur la montagne de Hor, suivant l'ordre de l'Éternel; et il y mourut, la quarantième année après la sortie des enfants d'Israël du pays d'Égypte, le cinquième mois, le premier jour du mois.

And Aaron, the priest, went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD and died there in the fortieth year, after the sons of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

39 A aron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans lorsqu'il mourut sur la montagne de Hor.

And Aaron was one hundred and twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.

40 L e roi d'Arad, Cananéen, qui habitait le midi du pays de Canaan, apprit l'arrivée des enfants d'Israël.

And King Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard how the sons of Israel had come.

41 I ls partirent de la montagne de Hor, et campèrent à Tsalmona.

And they departed from Mount Hor and pitched in Zalmonah.

42 I ls partirent de Tsalmona, et campèrent à Punon.

And they departed from Zalmonah and pitched in Punon.

43 I ls partirent de Punon, et campèrent à Oboth.

And they departed from Punon and pitched in Oboth.

44 I ls partirent d'Oboth, et campèrent à Ijjé Abarim, sur la frontière de Moab.

And they departed from Oboth and pitched in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab.

45 I ls partirent d'Ijjé Abarim, et campèrent à Dibon Gad.

And they departed from Iim and pitched in Dibongad.

46 I ls partirent de Dibon Gad, et campèrent à Almon Diblathaïm.

And they removed from Dibongad and encamped in Almondiblathaim.

47 I ls partirent d'Almon Diblathaïm, et campèrent aux montagnes d'Abarim, devant Nebo.

And they removed from Almondiblathaim and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48 I ls partirent des montagnes d'Abarim, et campèrent dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho.

And they departed from the mountains of Abarim and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan of Jericho.

49 I ls campèrent près du Jourdain, depuis Beth Jeschimoth jusqu'à Abel Sittim, dans les plaines de Moab.

Finally they pitched by the Jordan, from Bethjesimoth even unto Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.

50 L 'Éternel parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho. Il dit:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,

51 P arle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous aurez passé le Jourdain et que vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan,

Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have passed the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52 v ous chasserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays, vous détruirez toutes leurs idoles de pierre, vous détruirez toutes leurs images de fonte, et vous détruirez tous leurs hauts lieux.

then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and abolish all their paintings and abolish all their molten images and destroy all their high places,

53 V ous prendrez possession du pays, et vous vous y établirez; car je vous ai donné le pays, pour qu'il soit votre propriété.

and ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell therein; for I have given you the land to inherit it.

54 V ous partagerez le pays par le sort, selon vos familles. A ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre vous donnerez une portion plus grande, et à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre vous donnerez une portion plus petite. Chacun possédera ce qui lui sera échu par le sort: vous le recevrez en propriété, selon les tribus de vos pères.

And ye shall inherit the land by lots by your families, and to those with the most ye shall give more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give less inheritance, each one’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falls; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

55 M ais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et des aiguillons dans vos côtés, ils seront vos ennemis dans le pays où vous allez vous établir.

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come to pass that those whom ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides and shall afflict you in the land in which ye dwell.

56 E t il arrivera que je vous traiterai comme j'avais résolu de les traiter.

Moreover it shall come to pass that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
