And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth:

And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years, and he begat sons and daughters;

5 T ous les jours qu'Adam vécut furent de neuf cent trente ans; puis il mourut.

and all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

6 S eth, âgé de cent cinq ans, engendra Énosch.

¶ And Seth lived one hundred and five years and begat Enos.

7 S eth vécut, après la naissance d'Énosch, huit cent sept ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years and begat sons and daughters;

8 T ous les jours de Seth furent de neuf cent douze ans; puis il mourut.

and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

9 É nosch, âgé de quatre-vingt-dix ans, engendra Kénan.

And Enos lived ninety years and begat Cainan,

10 É nosch vécut, après la naissance de Kénan, huit cent quinze ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

and Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years and begat sons and daughters;

11 T ous les jours d'Énosch furent de neuf cent cinq ans; puis il mourut.

and all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

12 K énan, âgé de soixante-dix ans, engendra Mahalaleel.

And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel;

and Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years and begat sons and daughters;

And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years and begat Jared;

and Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years and begat sons and daughters;

18 J éred, âgé de cent soixante-deux ans, engendra Hénoc.

And Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years and he begat Enoch;

and Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years and begat sons and daughters;

and all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, and he died.

21 H énoc, âgé de soixante-cinq ans, engendra Metuschélah.

¶ And Enoch lived sixty-five years and begat Methuselah;

22 H énoc, après la naissance de Metuschélah, marcha avec Dieu trois cents ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years and begat sons and daughters;

23 T ous les jours d'Hénoc furent de trois cent soixante-cinq ans.

and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.

24 H énoc marcha avec Dieu; puis il ne fut plus, parce que Dieu le prit.

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

25 M etuschélah, âgé de cent quatre-vingt-sept ans, engendra Lémec.

¶ And Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, and begat Lamech;

26 M etuschélah vécut, après la naissance de Lémec, sept cent quatre-vingt deux ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

and Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years and begat sons and daughters;

27 T ous les jours de Metuschélah furent de neuf cent soixante-neuf ans; puis il mourut.

and all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.

28 L émec, âgé de cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, engendra un fils.

¶ And Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years and begat a son;

29 I l lui donna le nom de Noé, en disant: Celui-ci nous consolera de nos fatigues et du travail pénible de nos mains, provenant de cette terre que l'Éternel a maudite.

and he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.

30 L émec vécut, après la naissance de Noé, cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety-five years and begat sons and daughters;

31 T ous les jours de Lémec furent de sept cent soixante-dix sept ans; puis il mourut.

and all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died.

32 N oé, âgé de cinq cents ans, engendra Sem, Cham et Japhet.

And Noah was five hundred years old; and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
