¶ And the second lot came forth to Simeon, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the sons of Judah.

2 I ls eurent dans leur héritage: Beer Schéba, Schéba, Molada,

And they had in their inheritance Beersheba or Sheba, Moladah,

Hazarshual, Balah, Azem,

4 E ltholad, Bethul, Horma,

Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,

5 T siklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hatsar Susa,

Ziklag, Bethmarcaboth, Hazarsusah,

6 B eth Lebaoth et Scharuchen, treize villes, et leurs villages;

Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteen cities and their villages;

7 A ïn, Rimmon, Éther, et Aschan, quatre villes, et leurs villages;

Ain, Remmon, Ether, and Ashan: four cities and their villages,

8 e t tous les villages aux environs de ces villes, jusqu'à Baalath Beer, qui est Ramath du midi. Tel fut l'héritage de la tribu des fils de Siméon, selon leurs familles.

with all the villages that were round about these cities unto Baalathbeer, which is Ramath of the Negev. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families.

9 L 'héritage des fils de Siméon fut pris sur la portion des fils de Juda; car la portion des fils de Juda était trop grande pour eux, et c'est au milieu de leur héritage que les fils de Siméon reçurent le leur.

Out of the portion of the sons of Judah was taken the inheritance of the sons of Simeon; for the part of the sons of Judah was too much for them; therefore, the sons of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of Judah.

10 L a troisième part échut par le sort aux fils de Zabulon, selon leurs familles.

¶ The third lot came up for the sons of Zebulun according to their families, and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid.

11 L a limite de leur héritage s'étendait jusqu'à Sarid. Elle montait à l'occident vers Mareala, et touchait à Dabbéscheth, puis au torrent qui coule devant Jokneam.

And their border goes up towards the sea and to Maralah and reaches unto Dabbasheth and from there comes to the river that is before Jokneam,

12 D e Sarid elle tournait à l'orient, vers le soleil levant, jusqu'à la frontière de Kisloth Thabor, continuait à Dabrath, et montait à Japhia.

and turning from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising to the border of Chislothtabor and then goes out to Daberath and up to Japhia,

13 D e là elle passait à l'orient par Guittha Hépher, par Ittha Katsin, continuait à Rimmon, et se prolongeait jusqu'à Néa.

and from there passes eastward toward the sunrising to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goes out to Remmonmethoar around Neah;

14 E lle tournait ensuite du côté du nord vers Hannathon, et aboutissait à la vallée de Jiphthach El.

and from here this border turns to the north to Hannathon, coming out in the valley of Jiphthahel

15 D e plus, Katthath, Nahalal, Schimron, Jideala, Bethléhem. Douze villes, et leurs villages.

and including Kattath, Nahallal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

16 T el fut l'héritage des fils de Zabulon, selon leurs familles, ces villes-là et leurs villages.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

17 L a quatrième part échut par le sort à Issacar, aux fils d'Issacar, selon leurs familles.

¶ And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the sons of Issachar according to their families.

18 L eur limite passait par Jizreel, Kesulloth, Sunem,

And their border was Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,

19 H apharaïm, Schion, Anacharath,

Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

20 R abbith, Kischjon, Abets,

Rabbith, Kishion, Abez,

21 R émeth, En Gannim, En Hadda, et Beth Patsets;

Remeth, Engannim, Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez;

22 e lle touchait à Thabor, à Schachatsima, à Beth Schémesch, et aboutissait au Jourdain. Seize villes, et leurs villages.

and this border reaches to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh; and their border comes out to the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to their families, these cities with their villages.

24 L a cinquième part échut par le sort à la tribu des fils d'Aser, selon leurs familles.

¶ And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families.

25 L eur limite passait par Helkath, Hali, Béthen, Acschaph,

And their border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,

26 A llammélec, Amead et Mischeal; elle touchait, vers l'occident, au Carmel et au Schichor Libnath;

Alammelech, Amad, and Misheal, and reaches to Carmel westward and to Shihorlibnath

27 p uis elle tournait du côté de l'orient à Beth Dagon, atteignait Zabulon et la vallée de Jiphthach El au nord de Beth Émek et de Neïel, et se prolongeait vers Cabul, à gauche,

and turns toward the sunrising to Bethdagon and reaches to Zebulun and to the valley of Jiphthahel to the north, to Bethemek, and to Neiel, and goes out to Cabul on the left hand,

28 e t vers Ébron, Rehob, Hammon et Kana, jusqu'à Sidon la grande.

and includes Abran, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon;

29 E lle tournait ensuite vers Rama jusqu'à la ville forte de Tyr, et vers Hosa, pour aboutir à la mer, par la contrée d'Aczib.

and this border turns from there to Horma and to the strong city of Zor; and this border turns to Hosah and comes out to the sea from the stronghold of Achzib,

30 D e plus, Umma, Aphek et Rehob. Vingt-deux villes, et leurs villages.

including Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

32 L a sixième part échut par le sort aux fils de Nephthali, selon leurs familles.

¶ The sixth lot came out to the sons of Naphtali, for the sons of Naphtali according to their families.

33 L eur limite s'étendait depuis Héleph, depuis Allon, par Tsaanannim, Adami Nékeb et Jabneel, jusqu'à Lakkum, et elle aboutissait au Jourdain.

And their border was from Heleph, Allon, Zaanannim, Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum, and comes out at the Jordan,

34 E lle tournait vers l'occident à Aznoth Thabor, et de là continuait à Hukkok; elle touchait à Zabulon du côté du midi, à Aser du côté de l'occident, et à Juda; le Jourdain était du côté de l'orient.

and turning westward this border goes to Aznothtabor and passes from there to Hukkok and reaches to Zebulun towards the Negev and reaches to Asher on the west side and to Judah upon the Jordan toward the sunrising.

35 L es villes fortes étaient: Tsiddim, Tser, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnéreth,

And the strong cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,

36 A dama, Rama, Hatsor,

Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,

37 K édesch, Édréï, En Hatsor,

Kedesh, Edrei, Enhazor,

38 J ireon, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath et Beth Schémesch. Dix-neuf villes, et leurs villages.

Iron, Migdalel, Horem, Bethanath, and Bethshemesh: nineteen cities with their villages.

¶ And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the sons of Dan according to their families.

41 L a limite de leur héritage comprenait Tsorea, Eschthaol, Ir Schémesch,

And the border of their inheritance was Zorah, Eshtaol, Irshemesh,

42 S chaalabbin, Ajalon, Jithla,

Shaalabbin, Ajalon, Jethlah,

Elon, Thimnathah, Ekron,

44 E ltheké, Guibbethon, Baalath,

47 L e territoire des fils de Dan s'étendait hors de chez eux. Les fils de Dan montèrent et combattirent contre Léschem; ils s'en emparèrent et la frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée; ils en prirent possession, s'y établirent, et l'appelèrent Dan, du nom de Dan, leur père.

And the border of the sons of Dan went out too little for them; therefore, the sons of Dan went up to fight against Leshem and took it and smote it with the edge of the sword and possessed it and dwelt therein and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

49 L orsqu'ils eurent achevé de faire le partage du pays, d'après ses limites, les enfants d'Israël donnèrent à Josué, fils de Nun, une possession au milieu d'eux.

¶ Thus they finished dividing the land in inheritance by their borders, and the sons of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun in their midst.

50 S elon l'ordre de l'Éternel, ils lui donnèrent la ville qu'il demanda, Thimnath Sérach, dans la montagne d'Éphraïm. Il rebâtit la ville, et y fit sa demeure.

According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked for, which was Timnathserah in mountain of Ephraim; and he rebuilt the city and dwelt therein.

51 T els sont les héritages que le sacrificateur Éléazar, Josué, fils de Nun, et les chefs de famille des tribus des enfants d'Israël, distribuèrent par le sort devant l'Éternel à Silo, à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation. Ils achevèrent ainsi le partage du pays.

These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. So they finished dividing the land.
