¶ This is the book of the descendants of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God;

2 I -a făcut parte bărbătească şi parte femeiască, i -a binecuvîntat, şi le -a dat numele de,, om``, în ziua cînd au fost făcuţi.

male and female created he them and blessed them and called their name Man, in the day when they were created.

3 L a vîrsta de o sută treizeci de ani, Adam a născut un fiu după chipul şi asemănarea lui, şi i -a pus numele Set.

And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth:

4 D upă naşterea lui Set, Adam a trăit opt sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years, and he begat sons and daughters;

5 T oate zilele pe cari le -a trăit Adam, au fost de nouă sute trei zeci de ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

6 L a vîrsta de o sută cinci ani, Set a născut pe Enos.

¶ And Seth lived one hundred and five years and begat Enos.

7 D upă naşterea lui Enos, Set a mai trăit opt sute şapte ani, şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years and begat sons and daughters;

8 T oate zilele lui Set au fost de nouă sute doisprezece ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

9 L a vrîsta de nouăzeci de ani, Enos a născut pe Cainan.

And Enos lived ninety years and begat Cainan,

10 D upă naşterea lui Cainan, Enos a mai trăit opt sute cincisprezece ani, şi a născut fii şi fiice.

and Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years and begat sons and daughters;

11 T oate zilele lui Enos au fost de nouă sute cinci ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

12 L a vrîsta de şapte zeci de ani, Cainan a născut pe Mahalaleel.

And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel;

13 D upă naşterea lui Mahalaleel, Cainan a mai trăit opt sute patruzeci de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

and Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years and begat sons and daughters;

14 T oate zilele lui Cainan au fost de nouă sute zece ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

15 L a vrîsta de şase zeci şi cinci de ani, Mahalaleel a născut pe Iared.

And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years and begat Jared;

16 D upă naşterea lui Iared, Mahalaleel a mai trăit opt sute treizeci de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

and Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years and begat sons and daughters;

17 T oate zilele lui Mahalaleel au fost de opt sute nouăzeci şi cinci de ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety-five years and he died.

18 L a vrîsta de o sută şasezeci şi doi de ani, Iared a născut pe Enoh.

And Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years and he begat Enoch;

19 D upă naşterea lui Enoh, Iared a mai trăit opt sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

and Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years and begat sons and daughters;

20 T oate zilele lui Iared au fost de nouă sute şase zeci şi doi de ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, and he died.

21 L a vrîsta de şase zeci şi cinci de ani, Enoh a născut pe Metusala.

¶ And Enoch lived sixty-five years and begat Methuselah;

22 D upă naşterea lui Metusala, Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu trei sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years and begat sons and daughters;

23 T oate zilele lui Enoh au fost trei sute şase zeci şi cinci de ani.

and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.

24 E noh a umblat cu Dumnezeu; apoi nu s'a mai văzut, pentru că l -a luat Dumnezeu.

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

25 L a vrîsta de o sută opt zeci şi şapte de ani, Metusala a născut pe Lameh.

¶ And Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, and begat Lamech;

26 D upă naşterea lui Lameh, Metusala a mai trăit şapte sute opt zeci şi doi de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

and Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years and begat sons and daughters;

27 T oate zilele lui Metusala au fost de nouă sute şase zeci şi nouă de ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.

28 L a vîrsta de o sută optzeci şi doi de ani, Lameh a născut un fiu.

¶ And Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years and begat a son;

29 E l i -a pus numele Noe, zicînd:,, Acesta ne va mîngîia pentru osteneala şi truda mînilor noastre, cari vin din acest pămînt, pe care l -a blestemat Domnul.``

and he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.

And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety-five years and begat sons and daughters;

31 T oate zilele lui Lameh au fost de şapte sute şaptezeci şi şapte de ani; apoi a murit.

and all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died.

32 N oe, la vrîsta de cinci sute de ani, a născut pe Sem, Ham şi Iafet.

And Noah was five hundred years old; and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
