1 L a Tine, Doamne, îmi înalţ sufletul.

¶ Aleph Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

2 Î n Tine, Dumnezeule, mă încred: să nu fiu dat de ruşine, ca să nu se bucure vrăjmaşii mei de mine!

Beth O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.

3 D a, toţi cei ce nădăjduiesc în Tine nu vor fi daţi de ruşine: ci de ruşine vor fi daţi cei ce Te părăsesc fără temei.

Gimel Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed; those which rebel without cause shall be ashamed.

4 A rată-mi, Doamne, căile Tale, şi învaţă-mă cărările Tale.

5 P ovăţuieşte-mă în adevărul Tău, şi învaţă-mă; căci Tu eşti Dumnezeul mîntuirii mele, Tu eşti totdeauna nădejdea mea!

He Cause me to walk in thy truth and teach me: for thou art the God of my saving health; I have waited for thee all the day.

6 A du-Ţi aminte, Doamne, de îndurarea şi bunătatea Ta; căci sînt vecinice.

Vau Remember, O LORD, thy compassion and thy mercies, for they have been ever of old.

7 N u-Ţi aduce aminte de greşelile din tinereţa mea, nici de fărădelegile mele; ci adu-Ţi aminte de mine, după îndurarea Ta, pentru bunătatea Ta, Doamne!

Zain Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my rebellions; according to thy mercy remember me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.

8 D omnul este bun şi drept: de aceea arată El păcătoşilor calea.

¶ Cheth Good and upright is the LORD: therefore he will teach sinners in the way.

9 E l face pe cei smeriţi să umble în tot ce este drept. El învaţă pe cei smeriţi calea Sa.

Teth He will cause the humble to pass through the judgment, and the meek he will teach his way.

10 T oate cărările Domnului sînt îndurare şi credincioşie, pentru cei ce păzesc legămîntul şi poruncile Lui.

Jod All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 P entru Numele Tău, Doamne, iartă-mi fărădelegea, căci mare este!

Caph For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity; for it is great.

12 C ine este omul, care se teme de Domnul? Aceluia Domnul îi arată calea pe care trebuie s'o aleagă.

Lamed Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13 E l va locui în fericire, şi sămînţa lui va stăpîni ţara.

Mem His soul shall rest in that which is good; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 P rietenia Domnului este pentru cei ce se tem de El, şi legămîntul făcut cu El le dă învăţătură.

Nun The secret of the LORD is for those that fear him, and he will show them his covenant.

15 E u îmi întorc necurmat ochii spre Domnul, căci El îmi va scoate picioarele din laţ.

¶ Samech Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

16 P riveşte-mă şi ai milă de mine, căci sînt părăsit şi nenorocit.

Ain Turn thee unto me and have mercy upon me, for I am desolate and afflicted.

17 N eliniştea inimii mele creşte: scoate-mă din necazul meu!

Tzaddi The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 U ită-Te la ticăloşia şi truda mea, şi iartă-mi toate păcatele mele.

Resh Look upon my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins.

19 V ezi cît de mulţi sînt vrăjmaşii mei, şi cu ce ură mare mă urmăresc.

Resh Consider my enemies, for they are multiplied; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 P ăzeşte-mi sufletul, şi scapă-mă! Nu mă lăsa să fiu dat de ruşine cînd mă încred în Tine!

Schin O keep my soul and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.

21 S ă mă ocrotească nevinovăţia şi neprihănirea, cînd îmi pun nădejdea în Tine!

Tau Integrity and uprightness shall preserve me, for I have waited for thee.

22 I zbăveşte, Dumnezeule, pe Israel din toate necazurile lui.
