1 ( Un psalm al lui David.) Al Domnului este pămîntul cu tot ce este pe el, lumea şi cei ce o locuiesc!

¶ The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.

2 C ăci El l -a întemeiat pe mări, şi l -a întărit pe rîuri.

For he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

3 C ine va putea să se suie la muntele Domnului? Cine se va ridica pînă la locul Lui cel Sfînt? -

¶ Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in the place of his holiness?

4 C el ce are mînile nevinovate şi inima curată, cel ce nu-şi dedă sufletul la minciună, şi nu jură ca să înşele.

He that has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not taken my name in vain, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 A cela va căpăta binecuvîntarea Domnului, starea după voia Lui dată de Dumnezeul mîntuirii lui.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his saving health.

6 I ată partea de moştenire a celor ce -L cheamă, a celor ce caută Faţa Ta, Dumnezeul lui Iacov. -

This is the generation of those that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 P orţi, ridicaţi-vă capetele; ridicaţi-vă, porţi vecinice, ca să intre Împăratul slavei! -

¶ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

8 C ine este acest Împărat al slavei?`` -Domnul cel tare şi puternic, Domnul cel viteaz în lupte.

Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9 P orţi, ridicaţi-vă capetele; ridicaţi-le, porţi vecinice, ca să intre Împăratul slavei! -

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

10 C ine este acest Împărat al slavei?`` -Domnul oştirilor: El este Împăratul slavei! -(Oprire).

Who is this King of glory? The LORD of the hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
