1 ¶ This is the book of the descendants of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God;

4 A nd the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years, and he begat sons and daughters;

6 ¶ And Seth lived one hundred and five years and begat Enos.

La vîrsta de o sută cinci ani, Set a născut pe Enos.

7 A nd Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years and begat sons and daughters;

După naşterea lui Enos, Set a mai trăit opt sute şapte ani, şi a născut fii şi fiice.

8 a nd all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

Toate zilele lui Set au fost de nouă sute doisprezece ani; apoi a murit.

9 A nd Enos lived ninety years and begat Cainan,

10 a nd Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years and begat sons and daughters;

14 a nd all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

15 A nd Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years and begat Jared;

La vrîsta de şase zeci şi cinci de ani, Mahalaleel a născut pe Iared.

16 a nd Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years and begat sons and daughters;

După naşterea lui Iared, Mahalaleel a mai trăit opt sute treizeci de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

17 a nd all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety-five years and he died.

18 A nd Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years and he begat Enoch;

19 a nd Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years and begat sons and daughters;

20 a nd all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, and he died.

21 ¶ And Enoch lived sixty-five years and begat Methuselah;

La vrîsta de şase zeci şi cinci de ani, Enoh a născut pe Metusala.

22 A nd Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years and begat sons and daughters;

După naşterea lui Metusala, Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu trei sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

23 a nd all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.

Toate zilele lui Enoh au fost trei sute şase zeci şi cinci de ani.

24 A nd Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu; apoi nu s'a mai văzut, pentru că l -a luat Dumnezeu.

25 ¶ And Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, and begat Lamech;

La vrîsta de o sută opt zeci şi şapte de ani, Metusala a născut pe Lameh.

26 a nd Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years and begat sons and daughters;

După naşterea lui Lameh, Metusala a mai trăit şapte sute opt zeci şi doi de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

27 a nd all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.

Toate zilele lui Metusala au fost de nouă sute şase zeci şi nouă de ani; apoi a murit.

28 ¶ And Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years and begat a son;

La vîrsta de o sută optzeci şi doi de ani, Lameh a născut un fiu.

29 a nd he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.

El i -a pus numele Noe, zicînd:,, Acesta ne va mîngîia pentru osteneala şi truda mînilor noastre, cari vin din acest pămînt, pe care l -a blestemat Domnul.``

30 A nd Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety-five years and begat sons and daughters;

După naşterea lui Noe, Lameh a mai trăit cinci sute nouă zeci şi cinci de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

31 a nd all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died.

Toate zilele lui Lameh au fost de şapte sute şaptezeci şi şapte de ani; apoi a murit.

32 A nd Noah was five hundred years old; and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
