1 ¶ The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vorbit astfel:

2 S on of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because thy heart has lifted thee up and thou hast said, I am God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas (yet thou art man, and not God); and thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God:

Fiul omului, spune voivodului Tirului:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu:, Pentrucă ţi s'a îngîmfat inima şi ai zis:, Eu sînt Dumnezeu, şi şed pe scaunul de domnie al lui Dumnezeu în mijlocul mărilor`, măcar că nu eşti decît om şi nu eşti Dumnezeu, măcar că îţi dai ifose ca şi cînd ai fi Dumnezeu.

3 b ehold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

Iată că eşti mai înţelept decît Daniel, nicio taină nu este ascunsă de tine;

4 w ith thy wisdom and with thine intelligence thou hast gotten thee riches and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

prin înţelepciunea şi priceperea ta ţi-ai făcut avere, şi ţi-ai grămădit aur şi argint în vistieriile tale;

5 b y the greatness of thy wisdom in thy trafficking thou hast multiplied thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

prin marea ta înţelepciune şi prin negoţul tău ţi-ai mărit bogăţiile, şi prin bogăţiile tale inima ţi s'a îngîmfat foarte mult.

6 t herefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God,

Deaceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu:, Pentrucă îţi dai ifose ca şi cînd ai fi Dumnezeu,

7 b ehold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the strong ones of the Gentiles, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

iată că voi aduce împotriva ta nişte străini, pe cele mai asupritoare dintre popoare, cari vor scoate sabia împotriva înţelepciunii tale strălucitoare, şi-ţi vor pîngări frumuseţa.

8 T hey shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die of the death of those that are slain in the midst of the seas.

Te vor arunca în groapă, şi vei muri ca ceice cad străpunşi de lovituri, în mijlocul mărilor.

9 W ilt thou yet say before him that slays thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and not God, in the hand of him that slays thee.

Vei mai zice tu atunci în faţa ucigaşului tău:, Sînt Dumnezeu,` măcar că eşti om şi nu Dumnezeu, supt mîna celui ce te va ucide?

10 T hou shalt die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken, said the Lord GOD.

Vei muri de moartea celor netăiaţi împrejur, de mîna străinilor! Căci Eu am vorbit, zice Domnul, Dumnezeu.``

11 ¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vorbit astfel:

12 S on of man, raise up lamentations upon the king of Tyre and say unto him, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Thou dost seal up the sum of perfection, full of wisdom, and completed in beauty.

Fiul omului, fă un cîntec de jale asupra împăratului Tirului, şi spune -i:, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ajunsesei la cea mai înaltă desăvîrşire, erai plin de înţelepciune, şi desăvîrşit în frumuseţă.

13 T hou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, topaz, diamond, turquoise, onyx, and beryl, the sapphire, ruby, and emerald, and gold; the works of thy tambourines and of thy pipes were prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Stăteai în Eden, grădina lui Dumnezeu, şi erai acoperit cu tot felul de pietre scumpe: cu sardonic, cu topaz, cu diamant, cu hrisolit, cu onix, cu iaspis, cu safir, cu rubin, cu smaragd, şi cu aur; timpanele şi flautele erau în slujba ta, pregătite pentru ziua cînd ai fost făcut.

14 T hou, great cherubim, wast covered, and I placed thee; thou wast in the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked among stones of fire.

Erai un heruvim ocrotitor, cu aripile întinse; te pusesem pe muntele cel sfînt al lui Dumnezeu, şi umblai prin mijlocul pietrelor scînteietoare.

15 T hou wast perfect in all thy ways from the day that thou wast created, until iniquity was found in thee.

Ai fost fără prihană în căile tale, din ziua, cînd ai fost făcut, pînă în ziua cînd s'a găsit nelegiuirea în tine.

16 B ecause of the multitude of thy trafficking thou wast filled with violence, and thou hast sinned; and I cast thee out of the mountain of God, and I cast thee unto evil from among the stones of fire, O cherubim that wast covered.

Prin mărimea negoţului tău te-ai umplut de sîlnicie, şi ai păcătuit; de aceea te-am aruncat de pe muntele lui Dumnezeu, şi te nimicesc, heruvim ocrotitor, din mijlocul pietrelor scînteietoare.

17 T hine heart lifted thee up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness; I will cast thee to the earth; I will expose thee before the kings, that they may behold thee.

Ţi s'a îngîmfat inima din pricina frumuseţii tale, ţi-ai stricat înţelepciunea cu strălucirea ta. De aceea, te arunc la pămînt, te dau privelişte împăraţilor.

18 T hou hast defiled thy sanctuary by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy trafficking; therefore I brought forth fire from the midst of thee, which has consumed thee, and I brought thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those that behold thee.

Prin mulţimea nelegiurilor tale, prin nedreptatea negoţului tău, ţi-ai spurcat locaşurile sfinte; de aceea, scot din mijlocul tău un foc, care te mistuie, şi te prefac în cenuşă pe pămînt, înaintea tuturor celor ce te privesc.

19 A ll those that knew thee from among the peoples shall marvel over thee; thou hast been greatly disturbed, and thou shalt not exist again forever.

Toţi cei ce te cunosc între popoare rămîn uimiţi din pricina ta; eşti nimicit, şi nu vei mai fi niciodată!``

20 ¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vobit astfel:

21 S on of man, set thy face against Zidon and prophesy against her

Fiul omului, întoarce-ţi faţa spre Sidon, şi prooroceşte împotriva lui!

22 a nd say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her and shall be sanctified in her.

Spune:,, Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu:, Iată că am necaz pe tine, Sidonule, şi voi fi proslăvit în mijlocul tău; ca să se ştie că Eu sînt Domnul, cînd Îmi voi împlini judecăţile împotriva lui, şi cînd Îmi voi arăta sfinţenia în mijlocul lui.

23 F or I will send into her pestilence and blood into her streets; and the dead shall fall in the midst of her, by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Voi trimete ciuma în el, voi face să curgă sîngele pe uliţele lui; vor cădea morţii în mijlocul lui, ucişi de sabia care va veni din toate părţile să -i lovească, şi vor şti astfel că Eu sînt Domnul.

24 A nd there shall no longer be a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any thorn that causes him pain, round about them of those that despise them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

Atunci el nu va mai fi pentru casa lui Israel un spin care înţeapă, un mărăcine aducător de dureri, printre toţi ceice -l înconjoară şi -l dispreţuiesc. Şi vor şti astfel că Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeu.``

25 T hus hath the Lord GOD said: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered and shall be sanctified in them in the eyes of the Gentiles, then they shall dwell in their land that I have given to my slave Jacob.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu:,, Cînd voi strînge iarăş casa lui Israel din mijlocul popoarelor la cari este risipită, Îmi voi arăta în ea sfinţenia înaintea neamurilor, şi vor locui în ţara lor pe care am dat -o robului meu Iacov.

26 A nd they shall dwell safely therein and shall build houses and plant vineyards; and they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments in all those that spoil them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

Vor locui liniştiţi în ea, vor zidi case şi vor sădi vii; da, vor locui liniştiţi în ea, cînd Îmi voi împlini judecăţile împotriva tuturor celorce -i înconjoară şi -i dispreţuiesc. Şi vor şti că Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul lor.``
