1 ¶ LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in the mountain of thy holiness?

(Un psalm al lui David.) Doamne, cine va locui în cortul Tău? Cine va locui pe muntele Tău cel sfînt?

2 H e that walks in integrity and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.

-Cel ce umblă în neprihănire, cel ce face voia lui Dumnezeu, şi spune adevărul din inimă.

3 H e that does not backbite with his tongue nor do evil to his neighbour nor take up a reproach against his neighbour.

Acela nu cleveteşte cu limba lui, nu face rău semenului său, şi nu aruncă ocara asupra aproapelui său.

4 I n whose eyes the vile person is not esteemed; but he honours those that fear the LORD. He that swears to his own hurt and does not change.

El priveşte cu dispreţ pe cel vrednic de dispreţuit, dar cinsteşte pe ceice se tem de Domnul. El nu-şi ia vorba înapoi, dacă face un jurămînt în paguba lui.

5 H e that does not put out his money to usury nor take a bribe against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

El nu-şi dă banii cu dobîndă, şi nu ia mită împotriva celui nevinovat. Cel ce se poartă aşa, nu se clatină nici odată.
