1 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

2 S peak unto the sons of Israel, saying, If a woman has conceived seed and gives birth to a man child, then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her menses shall she be unclean.

Vorbeşte copiilor lui Israel, şi spune-le:, Cînd o femeie va rămînea însărcinată, şi va naşte un copil de parte bărbătească, să fie necurată şapte zile; să fie necurată ca în vremea sorocului ei.

3 A nd in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

În ziua a opta, copilul să fie tăiat împrejur.

4 A nd she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying thirty-three days; she shall touch no holy thing, nor come to the sanctuary until the days of her purifying are fulfilled.

Femeia să mai rămînă încă treizeci şi trei de zile, ca să se cureţe de sîngele ei; să nu se atingă de nici un lucru sfînt, şi să nu se ducă la sfîntul locaş, pînă nu se vor împlini zilele curăţirii ei.

5 B ut if she gives birth to a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, according to her separation, and she shall be purifying herself for sixty-six days from her blood.

Dacă naşte o fată, să fie necurată două săptămîni, ca pe vremea cînd i -a venit sorocul; şi să rămînă şase zeci şi şase de zile ca să se curăţească de sîngele ei.

6 ¶ And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove as sin, unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, unto the priest,

Cînd se vor împlini zilele curăţirii ei, pentru un fiu sau pentru o fiică, să aducă preotului, la uşa cortului întîlnirii, un miel de un an pentru arderea de tot, şi un pui de porumbel sau o turturea pentru jertfa de ispăşire.

7 w ho shall offer it before the LORD and reconcile her, and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that has given birth to a male or a female.

Preotul să le jertfească înaintea Domnului, şi să facă ispăşire pentru ea; şi astfel, ea va fi curăţită de curgerea sîngelui ei. Aceasta este legea pentru femeia care naşte un băiat sau o fată.

8 A nd if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons: the one for the burnt offering and the other as sin; and the priest shall reconcile her, and she shall be clean.

Dacă nu poate să aducă un miel, să ia două turturele sau doi pui de porumbel, unul pentru arderea de tot, altul pentru jertfa de ispăşire. Preotul să facă ispăşire pentru ea, şi va fi curată.``
