1 ¶ But it shall come to pass in the last of the times that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the top of the mountains and higher than all the hills, and peoples shall flow unto it.

În vremile de pe urmă, muntele Casei Domnului va fi întemeiat tare ca cel mai înalt munte, se va înălţa deasupra dealurilor, şi popoarele vor veni grămadă la el.

2 A nd many Gentiles shall come and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Neamurile se vor duce cu grămada la el, şi vor zice:,, Veniţi, haidem să ne suim la muntele Domnului, la Casa Dumnezeului lui Iacov, ca să ne înveţe căile Lui, şi să umblăm pe cărările Lui! Căci din Sion va ieşi Legea, şi din Ierusalim Cuvîntul Domnului.

3 A nd he shall judge among many peoples and correct strong nations even afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they train for war any more.

El va judeca între multe popoare, va hotărî între neamuri puternice, depărtate. Din săbiile lor îşi vor făuri fiare de plug, şi din suliţele lor cosoare; niciun neam nu va mai trage sabia împotriva altuia, şi nu vor mai învăţa să facă război;

4 B ut each one shall sit under their vine and under their fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of the hosts has spoken it.

ci fiecare va locui supt viţa lui şi supt smochinul lui, şi nimeni nu -l va mai turbura. Căci gura Domnului oştirilor a vorbit.

5 E ven if all the peoples should walk each one in the name of their gods; with all this we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and eternally.

Pe cînd toate popoarele umblă fiecare în numele dumnezeului său, noi vom umbla în Numele Domnului, Dumnezeului nostru, totdeauna şi în veci de veci!``

6 I n that day, saith the LORD, I will assemble her that is lame, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted,

ziua aceea, zice Domnul, voi aduna pe cei şchiopi, voi strînge grămadă pe cei izgoniţi, şi pe aceia pe cari -i chinuisem.

7 a nd I will make her that is lame to be heirs, and her that was cast off a strong nation, and the LORD shall reign over them in the mount of Zion from now, and for evermore.

Din cei şchiopi voi face o rămăşiţă, din cei ce erau risipiţi, un neam puternic; şi Domnul va împărăţi peste ei, pe muntele Sionului, de acum şi pînă'n veac!

8 ¶ And thou, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion shall come unto thee; and the dominion shall come first, the kingdom, to the daughter of Jerusalem.

Iar la tine, turn al turmei, deal al fiicei Sionului, la tine va veni, şi la tine va ajunge vechea stăpînire, împărăţia fiicei Ierusalimului!``

9 N ow why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

Pentruce strigi tu însă acum aşa de tare? N'ai împărat? Nu mai ai sfetnic, de te apucă durerea ca pe o femeie la naştere?

10 B e in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now thou shalt go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

Sufere, fiica Sionului, şi gemi ca o femeie la naştere! Căc acum vei ieşi din cetate şi vei locui în cîmp, şi te vei duce pînă la Babilon! Acolo vei fi izbăvită, acolo te va răscumpăra Domnul din mîna vrăjmaşilor tăi.

11 B ut now many nations are gathered against thee that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eyes see our desire carried out upon Zion.

Căci acum multe neamuri s'au strîns împotriva ta, şi zic:,, Să fie pîngărită, ca să ne vadă ochii împlinindu-ni-se dorinţa faţă de Sion!``

12 B ut they did not know the thoughts of the LORD, neither did they understand his counsel by which he gathered them as sheaves onto the threshing floor.

Dar ei nu cunosc gîndurile Domnului, nu -I înţeleg planurile, nu ştiu că i -a strîns ca pe nişte snopi în arie.

13 A rise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs bronze; and thou shalt break in pieces many peoples; and thou shalt consecrate their spoil unto the LORD and their riches unto the Lord of the whole earth.

Scoală-te, fiica Sionului, şi treeră! Căci îţi fac un corn de fer şi o copită de aramă, ca să sfărîmi multe popoare, şi să închini Domnului prada lor, să închini Domnului întregului pămînt averile lor!
