1 ¶ O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise; this is my glory.

(O cîntare. Un psalm al lui David.) Gata îmi este inima să cînte, Dumnezeule! Voi cînta, voi suna din instrumentele mele; aceasta este slava mea!

2 A wake, psaltery and harp; I will awake the dawn.

Deşteptaţi-vă, alăută şi arfă! Mă voi trezi în zori de zi.

3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

Te voi lăuda printre popoare, Doamne, Te voi cînta printre neamuri.

4 F or thy mercy is great above the heavens, and thy truth reaches unto the heavens.

Căci mare este bunătatea Ta şi se înalţă mai pe sus de ceruri, iar credincioşia Ta pînă la nori.

5 B e thou exalted, O God, above the heavens and thy glory above all the earth;

Înalţă-Te peste ceruri, Dumnezeule, şi fie slava Ta peste tot pămîntul!

6 ¶ that thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

Pentru ca prea iubiţii Tăi să fie izbăviţi, scapă-ne prin dreapta Ta, şi ascultă-ne!

7 G od has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem and mete out the valley of Succoth.

Dumnezeu a vorbit în sfinţenia Lui:,, Voi birui, voi împărţi Sihemul, voi măsura valea Sucot;

8 G ilead shall be mine; Manasseh shall be mine; Ephraim also shall be the strength of my head; Judah shall be my lawgiver;

al Meu este Galaadul, al Meu Manase; Efraim este întăritura capului Meu, şi Iuda, toiagul Meu de cîrmuire;

9 M oab shall be my washpot; over Edom I will cast my shoe; over Philistia I will triumph.

Moab este ligheanul în care Mă spăl; Îmi arunc încălţămintea asupra Edomului; strig de bucurie asupra ţării Filistenilor!``

10 W ho will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

Cine mă va duce în cetatea întărită? Cine mă va duce la Edom?

11 S urely thou, O God, who had cast us off and did not, O God, go forth with our hosts.

Oare nu Tu, Dumnezeule, care ne-ai lepădat, şi care nu vrei să mai ieşi, Dumnezeule, cu oştirile noastre?

12 G ive us help from trouble; for the salvation of man is deception.

Dă-ne ajutor în necaz, căci zădarnic este ajutorul omului.

13 T hrough God we shall do valiantly, for he shall tread down our enemies again.

Cu Dumnezeu vom face mari isprăvi; El va zdrobi pe vrăjmaşii noştri.
