1 O tra vez entró Jesús en una sinagoga; y había allí un hombre que tenía una mano seca.

¶ And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.

2 Y le observaban para ver si lo sanaba en el día de reposo, para poder acusarle.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day, that they might accuse him.

3 Y dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca: Levántate y ponte aquí en medio.

So he said unto the man who had the withered hand, Stand forth.

4 E ntonces les dijo: ¿Es lícito en el día de reposo hacer bien o hacer mal, salvar una vida o matar? Pero ellos guardaban silencio.

And he said unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days or to do evil? to save the person or to kill them? But they were silent.

5 Y mirándolos en torno con enojo, entristecido por la dureza de sus corazones, dijo al hombre: Extiende tu mano. Y él la extendió, y su mano quedó sana.

And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out and his hand was restored whole as the other.

6 P ero cuando los fariseos salieron, enseguida comenzaron a tramar con los herodianos en contra de Jesús, para ver cómo podrían destruirle. Las multitudes siguen a Jesús

And as the Pharisees went forth, they took counsel with the Herodians against him, to kill him.

7 J esús se retiró al mar con sus discípulos; y una gran multitud de Galilea le siguió; y también de Judea,

But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea

8 d e Jerusalén, de Idumea, del otro lado del Jordán, y de los alrededores de Tiro y Sidón; una gran multitud, que al oír todo lo que Jesús hacía, vino a El.

and from Jerusalem and from Idumaea and from beyond Jordan. And those who dwell around Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came unto him.

9 Y dijo a sus discípulos que le tuvieran lista una barca por causa de la multitud, para que no le oprimieran;

And he spoke to his disciples that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

10 p orque había sanado a muchos, de manera que todos los que tenían aflicciones se le echaban encima para tocarle.

For he had healed many, insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed upon him to touch him.

11 Y siempre que los espíritus inmundos le veían, caían delante de El y gritaban, diciendo: Tú eres el Hijo de Dios.

And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

12 Y les advertía con insistencia que no revelaran su identidad. Designación de los doce apóstoles

And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

13 Y subió al monte, llamó a los que El quiso, y ellos vinieron a El.

¶ And he went up to the mountain and called unto himself whom he would, and they came unto him.

14 Y designó a doce, para que estuvieran con El y para enviarlos a predicar,

And he established twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach

15 y para que tuvieran autoridad de expulsar demonios.

and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out devils:

16 D esignó a los doce: Simón (a quien puso por nombre Pedro),

Simon, whom he gave the name Peter;

17 J acobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan hermano de Jacobo (a quienes puso por nombre Boanerges, que significa, hijos del trueno);

and James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, whom he surnamed them Boanerges, which is The sons of thunder;

18 A ndrés, Felipe, Bartolomé, Mateo, Tomás, Jacobo, hijo de Alfeo, Tadeo, Simón el cananita;

and Andrew and Philip and Bartholomew and Matthew and Thomas and James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus and Simon the Canaanite

19 y Judas Iscariote, el que también le entregó. Jesús y Beelzebú

and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him; and they came home.

20 J esús llegó a una casa, y la multitud se juntó de nuevo, a tal punto que ellos ni siquiera podían comer.

And the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

21 C uando sus parientes oyeron esto, fueron para hacerse cargo de El, porque decían: Está fuera de sí.

And when his friends and family heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him; for they said, He is beside himself.

22 Y los escribas que habían descendido de Jerusalén decían: Tiene a Beelzebú; y: Expulsa los demonios por el príncipe de los demonios.

¶ But the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said that he had Beelzebub and that by the prince of the devils he cast out devils.

23 Y llamándolos junto a sí, les hablaba en parábolas: ¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás ?

And he called them unto him and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

24 Y si un reino está dividido contra sí mismo, ese reino no puede perdurar.

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot remain.

25 Y si una casa está dividida contra sí misma, esa casa no podrá permanecer.

And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot remain.

26 Y si Satanás se ha levantado contra sí mismo y está dividido, no puede permanecer, sino que ha llegado su fin.

And if Satan rises up against himself and is divided, he cannot remain, but has an end.

27 P ero nadie puede entrar en la casa de un hombre fuerte y saquear sus bienes si primero no lo ata; entonces podrá saquear su casa.

No man can enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods except he will first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house.

28 E n verdad os digo que todos los pecados serán perdonados a los hijos de los hombres, y las blasfemias con que blasfemen,

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men and whatever blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme,

29 p ero cualquiera que blasfeme contra el Espíritu Santo no tiene jamás perdón, sino que es culpable de pecado eterno.

but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit shall never have forgiveness but is obligated to eternal judgment,

30 P orque decían: Tiene un espíritu inmundo. La madre y los hermanos de Jesús

because they said, He has an unclean spirit.

31 E ntonces llegaron su madre y sus hermanos, y quedándose afuera, mandaron llamarle.

¶ There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

32 Y había una multitud sentada alrededor de El, y le dijeron: He aquí, tu madre y tus hermanos están afuera y te buscan.

The multitude was sitting all around him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brothers and sisters seek thee without.

33 R espondiéndoles El, dijo: ¿Quiénes son mi madre y mis hermanos?

And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother or my brethren?

34 Y mirando en torno a los que estaban sentados en círculo, a su alrededor, dijo: He aquí mi madre y mis hermanos.

And looking round about on those who sat about him, he said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

35 P orque cualquiera que hace la voluntad de Dios, ése es mi hermano y hermana y madre.

For whosoever doeth the will of God, the same is my brother and my sister and my mother.
