1 Y el primer día de la semana María Magdalena fue temprano al sepulcro, cuando todavía estaba oscuro, y vio que ya la piedra había sido quitada del sepulcro.

¶ The first of the sabbaths, Mary Magdalene came early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre and saw the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

2 E ntonces corrió y fue a Simón Pedro y al otro discípulo a quien Jesús amaba, y les dijo: Se han llevado al Señor del sepulcro, y no sabemos dónde le han puesto.

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

3 S alieron, pues, Pedro y el otro discípulo, e iban hacia el sepulcro.

Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

4 L os dos corrían juntos, pero el otro discípulo corrió más aprisa que Pedro, y llegó primero al sepulcro;

So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came first to the sepulchre.

5 e inclinándose para mirar adentro, vio las envolturas de lino puestas allí, pero no entró.

And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet he did not go in.

6 E ntonces llegó también Simón Pedro tras él, entró al sepulcro, y vio las envolturas de lino puestas allí,

Then came Simon Peter following him and went into the sepulchre and saw the linen clothes lying

7 y el sudario que había estado sobre la cabeza de Jesús, no puesto con las envolturas de lino, sino enrollado en un lugar aparte.

and the napkin, that had been placed over his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

8 E ntonces entró también el otro discípulo, el que había llegado primero al sepulcro, y vio y creyó.

Then that other disciple, who came first to the sepulchre, went in also and he saw and believed.

9 P orque todavía no habían entendido la Escritura, que Jesús debía resucitar de entre los muertos.

For as yet they did not know the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

10 L os discípulos entonces se fueron de nuevo a sus casas. Aparición de Jesús a María Magdalena

Then the disciples went away again unto their own.

11 P ero María estaba fuera, llorando junto al sepulcro; y mientras lloraba, se inclinó y miró dentro del sepulcro;

¶ But Mary stood outside near the sepulchre weeping, and as she wept, she stooped down and looked into the sepulchre

12 y vio dos ángeles vestidos de blanco, sentados donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús, uno a la cabecera y otro a los pies.

and saw two angels in white sitting, the one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been placed.

13 Y ellos le dijeron: Mujer, ¿por qué lloras ? Ella les dijo: Porque se han llevado a mi Señor, y no sé dónde le han puesto.

And they said unto her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She said unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

14 A l decir esto, se volvió y vio a Jesús que estaba allí, pero no sabía que era Jesús.

And when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there and did not know that it was Jesus.

15 J esús le dijo: Mujer, ¿por qué lloras ? ¿A quién buscas? Ella, pensando que era el hortelano, le dijo: Señor, si tú le has llevado, dime dónde le has puesto, y yo me lo llevaré.

Jesus said unto her, Woman, why dost thou weep? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, said unto him, Lord, if thou didst carry him off, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16 J esús le dijo: ¡María! Ella, volviéndose, le dijo en hebreo: ¡Raboní! (que quiere decir, Maestro).

Jesus said unto her, Mary! Turning herself around, she said unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master.

17 J esús le dijo: Suéltame porque todavía no he subido al Padre; pero ve a mis hermanos, y diles: “Subo a mi Padre y a vuestro Padre, a mi Dios y a vuestro Dios.”

Jesus said unto her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God.

18 F ue María Magdalena y anunció a los discípulos: ¡He visto al Señor!, y que El le había dicho estas cosas. Aparición a los discípulos

Mary Magdalene came giving the news to the disciples, That I have seen the Lord, and he spoke these things unto me.

19 E ntonces, al atardecer de aquel día, el primero de la semana, y estando cerradas las puertas del lugar donde los discípulos se encontraban por miedo a los judíos, Jesús vino y se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo: Paz a vosotros.

¶ Then the same day at evening, being the first of the sabbaths, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said unto them, Peace be unto you.

20 Y diciendo esto, les mostró las manos y el costado. Entonces los discípulos se regocijaron al ver al Señor.

And having said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

21 J esús entonces les dijo otra vez: Paz a vosotros; como el Padre me ha enviado, así también yo os envío.

Then Jesus said to them again, Peace be unto you; as my Father has sent me, even so send I you.

22 D espués de decir esto, sopló sobre ellos y les dijo: Recibid el Espíritu Santo.

And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit;

23 A quienes perdonéis los pecados, éstos les son perdonados; a quienes retengáis los pecados, éstos les son retenidos. Incredulidad de Tomás

unto those whose sins ye release, they shall be released; and unto those whose sins ye retain, they shall be retained.

24 T omás, uno de los doce, llamado el Dídimo, no estaba con ellos cuando Jesús vino.

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 E ntonces los otros discípulos le decían: ¡Hemos visto al Señor! Pero él les dijo: Si no veo en sus manos la señal de los clavos, y meto el dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y pongo la mano en su costado, no creeré.

The other disciples, therefore, said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Unless I shall see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 O cho días después, sus discípulos estaban otra vez dentro, y Tomás con ellos. Y estando las puertas cerradas, Jesús vino y se puso en medio de ellos, y dijo: Paz a vosotros.

¶ And again eight days later, his disciples were within and Thomas with them; then Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace be unto you.

27 L uego dijo a Tomás: Acerca aquí tu dedo, y mira mis manos; extiende aquí tu mano y métela en mi costado; y no seas incrédulo, sino creyente.

Then he said to Thomas, Reach here thy finger and behold my hands and reach here thy hand and thrust it into my side and be not unbelieving, but faithful.

28 R espondió Tomás y le dijo: ¡Señor mío y Dios mío!

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29 J esús le dijo: ¿Porque me has visto has creído? Dichosos los que no vieron, y sin embargo creyeron. El propósito de este evangelio según Juan

Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are those that have not seen and yet have believed.

30 Y muchas otras señales hizo también Jesús en presencia de sus discípulos, que no están escritas en este libro;

And Jesus truly did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;

31 p ero éstas se han escrito para que creáis que Jesús es el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios; y para que al creer, tengáis vida en su nombre.

but these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name.
