1 P ablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios: A los santos que están en Efeso y que son fieles en Cristo Jesús:

¶ Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 G racia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Beneficios de la redención

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 B endito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos ha bendecido con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,

¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ;

4 s egún nos escogió en El antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuéramos santos y sin mancha delante de El. En amor

according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in charity;

5 n os predestinó para adopción como hijos para sí mediante Jesucristo, conforme al beneplácito de su voluntad,

having marked out beforehand the way for us to be adopted as sons by Jesus Christ in himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 p ara alabanza de la gloria de su gracia que gratuitamente ha impartido sobre nosotros en el Amado.

to the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved;

7 E n El tenemos redención mediante su sangre, el perdón de nuestros pecados según las riquezas de su gracia

in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace,

8 q ue ha hecho abundar para con nosotros. En toda sabiduría y discernimiento

which has over abounded in us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 n os dio a conocer el misterio de su voluntad, según el beneplácito que se propuso en El,

having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself,

10 c on miras a una buena administración en el cumplimiento de los tiempos, es decir, de reunir todas las cosas en Cristo, tanto las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra. En El

that in the dispensation of the fulfillment of the times he might restore all things by the Christ, both those which are in heaven and those which are on earth,

11 t ambién hemos obtenido herencia, habiendo sido predestinados según el propósito de aquel que obra todas las cosas conforme al consejo de su voluntad,

in him in whom likewise we have obtained an inheritance, having had the way marked out beforehand according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will,

12 a fin de que nosotros, que fuimos los primeros en esperar en Cristo, seamos para alabanza de su gloria.

so that we should be to the praise of his glory, those of us who first trusted in the Christ.

13 E n El también vosotros, después de escuchar el mensaje de la verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salvación, y habiendo creído, fuisteis sellados en El con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa,

In whom ye also trusted, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your saving health; in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of the promise,

14 q ue nos es dado como garantía de nuestra herencia, con miras a la redención de la posesión adquirida de Dios, para alabanza de su gloria. Pablo ora por los efesios

which is the earnest of our inheritance unto the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

15 P or esta razón también yo, habiendo oído de la fe en el Señor Jesús que hay entre vosotros, y de vuestro amor por todos los santos,

¶ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and charity unto all the saints,

16 n o ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo mención de vosotros en mis oraciones;

cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17 p idiendo que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en un mejor conocimiento de El.

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;

18 M i oración es que los ojos de vuestro corazón sean iluminados, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza de su llamamiento, cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,

illuminating the eyes of your understanding, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints

19 y cuál es la extraordinaria grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, conforme a la eficacia de la fuerza de su poder,

and what is the exceeding greatness of his power in us who believe, by the operation of the power of his strength,

20 e l cual obró en Cristo cuando le resucitó de entre los muertos y le sentó a su diestra en los lugares celestiales,

which operated in the Christ, raising him from the dead and setting him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 m uy por encima de todo principado, autoridad, poder, dominio y de todo nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo sino también en el venidero.

far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come,

22 Y todo sometió bajo sus pies, y a El lo dio por cabeza sobre todas las cosas a la iglesia,

And has put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the congregation,

23 l a cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de aquel que lo llena todo en todo.

which is his body, and he is the fullness of her: who fills all things in everyone.
