1 J udas, siervo de Jesucristo y hermano de Jacobo, a los llamados, amados en Dios Padre y guardados para Jesucristo:

¶ Jude, slave of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that are called, sanctified in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:

2 M isericordia, paz y amor os sean multiplicados. Motivo de la carta

Mercy and peace and charity be multiplied unto you.

3 A mados, por el gran empeño que tenía en escribiros acerca de nuestra común salvación, he sentido la necesidad de escribiros exhortándoos a contender ardientemente por la fe que de una vez para siempre fue entregada a los santos.

¶ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that ye should earnestly persevere in the faith which was given once unto the saints.

4 P ues algunos hombres se han infiltrado encubiertamente, los cuales desde mucho antes estaban marcados para esta condenación, impíos que convierten la gracia de nuestro Dios en libertinaje, y niegan a nuestro único Soberano y Señor, Jesucristo. Advertencias de la historia para los impíos

For there are certain men crept in unawares without fear or reverence of God, who from beforehand have been ordained unto this condemnation, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying God who alone has dominion, and our Lord Jesus, the Christ.

5 A hora quiero recordaros, aunque ya definitivamente lo sepáis todo, que el Señor, habiendo salvado al pueblo de la tierra de Egipto, destruyó después a los que no creyeron.

I will, therefore, remind you, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those that did not believe.

6 Y a los ángeles que no conservaron su señorío original, sino que abandonaron su morada legítima, los ha guardado en prisiones eternas, bajo tinieblas para el juicio del gran día.

And the angels who did not keep their first estate but left their own habitation, he has reserved in eternal chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7 A sí también Sodoma y Gomorra y las ciudades circunvecinas, a semejanza de aquéllos, puesto que ellas se corrompieron y siguieron carne extraña, son exhibidas como ejemplo al sufrir el castigo del fuego eterno.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, were set forth for an example, having received the judgment of eternal fire.

8 N o obstante, de la misma manera también estos hombres, soñando, mancillan la carne, rechazan la autoridad y blasfeman de las majestades angélicas.

¶ In the same manner these deceived dreamers, defile their flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of higher powers.

9 P ero cuando el arcángel Miguel contendía con el diablo y disputaba acerca del cuerpo de Moisés, no se atrevió a proferir juicio de maldición contra él, sino que dijo: El Señor te reprenda.

Yet when Michael, the archangel, contended with the devil, disputing over the body of Moses, he dared not bring against him a curse of judgment, but said, The Lord reprehend thee.

10 M as éstos blasfeman las cosas que no entienden, y las cosas que como animales irracionales conocen por instinto, por estas cosas son ellos destruidos.

But these speak evil of those things which they do not know; but what they know by nature as animals without reason, in those things they corrupt themselves.

11 ¡ Ay de ellos! Porque han seguido el camino de Caín, y por lucro se lanzaron al error de Balaam, y perecieron en la rebelión de Coré.

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

12 E stos son escollos ocultos en vuestros ágapes, cuando banquetean con vosotros sin temor, apacentándose a sí mismos; son nubes sin agua llevadas por los vientos, árboles de otoño sin fruto, dos veces muertos y desarraigados;

These are spots in your banquets of charity, feeding themselves without any fear whatsoever: clouds without water, carried to and fro of the winds; trees withered as in fall, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 s on olas furiosas del mar, que arrojan como espuma su propia vergüenza; estrellas errantes para quienes la oscuridad de las tinieblas ha sido reservada para siempre.

raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own abominations; erratic stars, to whom is reserved gross darkness eternally.

14 D e éstos también profetizó Enoc, en la séptima generación desde Adán, diciendo: He aquí, el Señor vino con muchos millares de sus santos,

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints

15 p ara ejecutar juicio sobre todos, y para condenar a todos los impíos de todas sus obras de impiedad, que han hecho impíamente, y de todas las cosas ofensivas que pecadores impíos dijeron contra El.

¶ to execute judgment upon all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have unfaithfully committed and of all the hard words which the unfaithful sinners have spoken against him.

16 E stos son murmuradores, quejumbrosos, que andan tras sus propias pasiones; hablan con arrogancia, adulando a la gente para obtener beneficio. Exhortaciones apostólicas a los fieles

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own desires; and their mouth speaks arrogant things, admiring persons to take advantage.

17 P ero vosotros, amados, acordaos de las palabras que antes fueron dichas por los apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

18 q uienes os decían: En los últimos tiempos habrá burladores que irán tras sus propias pasiones impías.

how that they told you, That in the last time there would be mockers, who would walk after their own ungodly desires.

19 E stos son los que causan divisiones; individuos mundanos que no tienen el Espíritu.

These are those who make divisions, and are as animals, not having the Spirit.

20 P ero vosotros, amados, edificándoos en vuestra santísima fe, orando en el Espíritu Santo,

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

21 c onservaos en el amor de Dios, esperando ansiosamente la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo para vida eterna.

keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto eternal life,

22 Y tened misericordia de algunos que dudan;

And receive some with mercy, discerning;

23 a otros, salvad, arrebatándolos del fuego; y de otros tened misericordia con temor, aborreciendo aun la ropa contaminada por la carne. Bendición

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

24 Y a aquel que es poderoso para guardaros sin caída y para presentaros sin mancha en presencia de su gloria con gran alegría,

Now unto him that is powerful to keep you without sin and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 a l único Dios nuestro Salvador, por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Señor, sea gloria, majestad, dominio y autoridad, antes de todo tiempo, y ahora y por todos los siglos. Amén.

to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and in all the ages. Amen.
