1 E ntonces alcé los ojos y miré, y he aquí, vi un hombre con un cordel de medir en la mano.

¶ I lifted up my eyes again and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2 Y le dije: ¿Adónde vas? Y me respondió: A medir a Jerusalén para ver cuánta es su anchura y cuánta su longitud.

Then I said, Where goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.

3 Y he aquí, cuando el ángel que hablaba conmigo salía, otro ángel le salió al encuentro,

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him

4 y le dijo: Corre, habla a ese joven, y dile: “Sin muros será habitada Jerusalén, a causa de la multitud de hombres y de ganados dentro de ella.

and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited without walls for the multitude of men and beasts in the midst of her:

5 “ Y yo seré para ella” —declara el Señor — “una muralla de fuego en derredor, y gloria seré en medio de ella.”

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about and will be the glory in the midst of her.

6 ¡ Ea, ea! Huid de la tierra del norte —declara el Señor — porque como a los cuatro vientos del cielo os dispersé yo —declara el Señor.

¶ Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD, for I have spread you abroad by the four winds of the heavens, saith the LORD.

7 ¡ Ea, Sion, tú que moras con la hija de Babilonia, escápate!

O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon, thou must escape.

8 P orque así dice el Señor de los ejércitos, cuya gloria me ha enviado contra las naciones que os despojaron, porque el que os toca, toca la niña de su ojo:

For thus hath the LORD of the hosts said; After the glory he shall send me unto the Gentiles which spoiled you, for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.

9 H e aquí, alzaré mi mano contra ellas, y serán despojo para sus esclavos. Entonces sabréis que el Señor de los ejércitos me ha enviado.

For, behold, I raise my hand regarding them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants; and ye shall know that the LORD of the hosts has sent me.

10 C anta de júbilo y alégrate, oh hija de Sion; porque he aquí, vengo, y habitaré en medio de ti —declara el Señor.

¶ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, said the LORD.

11 Y se unirán muchas naciones al Señor aquel día, y serán mi pueblo. Entonces habitaré en medio de ti, y sabrás que el Señor de los ejércitos me ha enviado a ti.

And many Gentiles shall join themselves unto the LORD in that day and shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and then thou shalt know that the LORD of the hosts has sent me unto thee.

12 Y el Señor poseerá a Judá, su porción en la tierra santa, y escogerá de nuevo a Jerusalén.

And the LORD shall possess Judah his portion in the holy land and shall still choose Jerusalem.

13 C alle toda carne delante del Señor, porque El se ha levantado de su santa morada.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD, for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
