1 Y esta es la enumeración de los hijos de Israel, los jefes de casas paternas, los comandantes de miles y de cientos, y sus oficiales que servían al rey en todos los asuntos de las divisiones que entraban y salían, mes por mes durante todos los meses del año; cada división tenía veinticuatro mil.

¶ Now the sons of Israel after their number, who were chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each course was of twenty-four thousand.

Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam, the son of Zabdiel, and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

3 E l era de los hijos de Pérez, y fue jefe de todos los comandantes del ejército para el primer mes.

Of the sons of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.

4 A cargo de la división para el segundo mes estaba Dodai ahohíta con su división, siendo Miclot el jefe principal; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

And over the course of the second month was Dodai, an Ahohite, and in his course was prince Mikloth; in his course likewise were twenty-four thousand.

5 E l tercer comandante del ejército para el tercer mes era Benaía, hijo del sacerdote Joiada, como jefe; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

6 E ste Benaía era un valiente de los treinta, y estaba sobre los treinta, y en su división estaba su hijo Amisabad.

This is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty; and in his course was Ammizabad, his son.

7 E l cuarto para el cuarto mes era Asael, hermano de Joab, y después de él Zebadías su hijo; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The fourth for the fourth month was Asahel, the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

8 E l quinto para el quinto mes era el comandante Samhut izraíta; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The fifth for the fifth month was prince Shamhuth, the Izrahite; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

9 E l sexto para el sexto mes era Ira, hijo de Iques tecoíta; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The sixth for the sixth month was Ira, the son of Ikkesh of Tekoah; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

10 E l séptimo para el séptimo mes era Heles pelonita, de los hijos de Efraín; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The seventh for the seventh month was Helez, the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

11 E l octavo para el octavo mes era Sibecai husatita, de los zeraítas; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbecai, the Hushathite, of Zarhi; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

12 E l noveno para el noveno mes era Abiezer anatotita, de los benjamitas; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer, the Anetothite, of the Benjamites; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

13 E l décimo para el décimo mes era Maharai netofatita, de los zeraítas; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai, the Netophathite of Zarhi; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

14 E l undécimo para el undécimo mes era Benaía piratonita, de los hijos de Efraín; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah, the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

15 E l duodécimo para el duodécimo mes era Heldai netofatita, de Otoniel; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai, the Netophathite of Othniel; and in his course were twenty-four thousand.

16 Y a cargo de las tribus de Israel estaban: Eliezer, hijo de Zicri, jefe principal de los rubenitas; de los simeonitas, Sefatías, hijo de Maaca;

¶ Presiding, likewise, over the tribes of Israel: over the Reubenites was prince Eliezer, the son of Zichri; over the Simeonites, Shephatiah, the son of Maachah.

Over the Levites, Hashabiah, the son of Kemuel. Over the Aaronites, Zadok.

18 d e Judá, Eliú, uno de los hermanos de David; de Isacar, Omri, hijo de Micael;

Over Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David. Over those of Issachar, Omri, the son of Michael.

19 d e Zabulón, Ismaías, hijo de Abdías; de Neftalí, Jerimot, hijo de Azriel;

Over those of Zebulun, Ishmaiah, the son of Obadiah. Over those of Naphtali, Jerimoth, the son of Azriel.

20 d e los hijos de Efraín, Oseas, hijo de Azazías; de la media tribu de Manasés, Joel, hijo de Pedaías;

Over the sons of Ephraim, Hosea, the son of Azaziah. Over the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, the son of Pedaiah.

21 d e la media tribu de Manasés en Galaad, Iddo, hijo de Zacarías; de Benjamín, Jaasiel, hijo de Abner;

Over the other half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo, the son of Zechariah. Over those of Benjamin, Jaasiel, the son of Abner.

22 d e Dan, Azareel, hijo de Jeroham. Estos eran los príncipes de las tribus de Israel.

And over Dan, Azareel, the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.

23 P ero David no enumeró a los de veinte años para abajo, porque el Señor había dicho que El multiplicaría a Israel como las estrellas del cielo.

But David did not number those twenty years old and under because the LORD had said he would multiply Israel like to the stars of the heavens.

24 J oab, hijo de Sarvia, había comenzado a contar los, pero no acabó; y debido a esto, la ira cayó sobre Israel, y el número no fue incluido en el registro de las crónicas del rey David.

Joab, the son of Zeruiah, had begun to number, but he did not finish; and because of this, wrath fell upon Israel; and thus the number was not put in the account of the chronicles of King David.

25 A cargo de los almacenes del rey estaba Azmavet, hijo de Adiel. Y a cargo de los almacenes en el campo, en las ciudades, en las aldeas y en las torres estaba Jonatán, hijo de Uzías.

And Azmaveth, the son of Adiel, had charge of the king’s treasures and of the treasures of the fields, of the cities, and of the villages, and of the castles, was Jehonathan, the son of Uzziah;

26 S obre los obreros agrícolas que labraban la tierra estaba Ezri, hijo de Quelub.

and over those that did the work of the tillage of the ground in the fields was Ezri the son of Chelub;

27 A cargo de las viñas estaba Simei ramatita; y a cargo del producto de las viñas guardado en las bodegas estaba Zabdi sifmita.

and over the vineyards was Shimei, the Ramathite; over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi, the Shiphmite;

28 A cargo de los olivares y sicómoros en la Sefela estaba Baal-hanán gederita; y a cargo de los depósitos de aceite estaba Joás.

and over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that were in the low plains was Baalhanan, the Gederite; and over the cellars of oil, Joash;

29 A cargo del ganado que pastaba en Sarón estaba Sitrai saronita; y a cargo del ganado en los valles estaba Safat, hijo de Adlai.

and over the cows that fed in Sharon was Shitrai, the Sharonite; and over the cows that were in the valleys was Shaphat, the son of Adlai;

30 A cargo de los camellos estaba Obil ismaelita; y a cargo de las asnas estaba Jehedías meronotita.

over the camels, Obil, the Ishmaelite; and over the asses, Jehdeiah, the Meronothite;

31 A cargo de las ovejas estaba Jaziz agareno. Todos éstos eran administradores de las propiedades del rey David.

and over the sheep was Jaziz, the Hagerite. All these were the princes of the substance which was King David’s.

32 T ambién Jonatán, hombre de entendimiento, tío de David, era consejero y escriba; y Jehiel, hijo de Hacmoni, instruía a los hijos del rey.

And Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni had charge of the king’s sons.

33 A hitofel era consejero del rey, y Husai arquita era amigo del rey.

Ahithophel was the king’s counsellor; and Hushai, the Archite, was the king’s companion.

34 Y Joiada, hijo de Benaía, y Abiatar sucedieron a Ahitofel. Y Joab era el comandante del ejército del rey.

And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. And Joab was the general of the king’s army.
