1 E l Espíritu del Señor Dios está sobre mí, porque me ha ungido el Señor para traer buenas nuevas a los afligidos; me ha enviado para vendar a los quebrantados de corazón, para proclamar libertad a los cautivos y liberación a los prisioneros;

¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to preach good tidings unto those who are cast down; to bind up the wounds of the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those that are bound;

2 p ara proclamar el año favorable del Señor, y el día de venganza de nuestro Dios; para consolar a todos los que lloran,

to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favour, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 p ara conceder que a los que lloran en Sion se les dé diadema en vez de ceniza, aceite de alegría en vez de luto, manto de alabanza en vez de espíritu abatido; para que sean llamados robles de justicia, plantío del Señor, para que El sea glorificado.

to order in Zion those that mourn, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

4 E ntonces reedificarán las ruinas antiguas, levantarán los lugares devastados de antaño, y restaurarán las ciudades arruinadas, los lugares devastados de muchas generaciones.

¶ And they shall build the old wastes; they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall restore the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5 S e presentarán extraños y apacentarán vuestros rebaños, e hijos de extranjeros serán vuestros labradores y vuestros viñadores.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6 Y vosotros seréis llamados sacerdotes del Señor; ministros de nuestro Dios se os llamará. Comeréis las riquezas de las naciones, y en su gloria os jactaréis.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD; men shall call you the Ministers of our God; ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and with their glory ye shall be lifted up.

7 E n vez de vuestra vergüenza tendréis doble porción, y en vez de humillación ellos gritarán de júbilo por su herencia. Por tanto poseerán el doble en su tierra, y tendrán alegría eterna.

Instead of your double shame, and your dishonour, they shall praise you in your inheritance; therefore in your land ye shall possess double, and ye shall have everlasting joy.

8 P orque yo, el Señor, amo el derecho, odio el latrocinio en el holocausto. Fielmente les daré su recompensa, y haré con ellos un pacto eterno.

For I the LORD love that which is right, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will confirm your work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

9 E ntonces su descendencia será conocida entre las naciones, y sus vástagos en medio de los pueblos; todos los que los vean los reconocerán, porque son la simiente que el Señor ha bendecido.

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles and their offspring among the peoples; all that saw them shall acknowledge them that they are the seed which the LORD has blessed.

10 E n gran manera me gozaré en el Señor, mi alma se regocijará en mi Dios; porque El me ha vestido de ropas de salvación, me ha envuelto en manto de justicia como el novio se engalana con una corona, como la novia se adorna con sus joyas.

¶ I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of saving health; he has surrounded me with the robe of righteousness; as a bridegroom he has arrayed me, and as a bride made up of his jewels.

11 P orque como la tierra produce sus renuevos, y como el huerto hace brotar lo sembrado en él, así el Señor Dios hará que la justicia y la alabanza broten en presencia de todas las naciones.

For as the earth brings forth her shoot and as the garden causes her seed to spring forth so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the Gentiles.
